CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 7/15-7/21

...
For example: Vive Pro Shampoo on sale this week for B1G1 free. I would not count the 2nd shampoo towards my total as CVS is giving it free. However if I had the B1G1 mfg coupon I would be able to use it and get BOTH free. I would count the cost of 1 towards my total to hit the $50 increment even though I was getting it free after mfg coupon...

OK--I need help understanding before I make " a run" for the Vive Pro Shampoo...
I have a man q. for B1G1. CVS is also offering B1G1. How many do I buy to get the best benefit? I'm confused :confused3 . If I B1, then CVS gives me 1 free, now I have my man. q. Does the man q. count toward the one I am buying from CVS for their deal? So, I get 2 and they are both free? :confused3

If you have:
1 coupon for B1G1 then you would purchase 2 and get both free
2 coupon for B1G1 then you would purchase 4 and get all free
and so on

Bear with me, this is going to be just a bit long, I went to 7 – yes 7 – CVS stores today! I truly need to be committed!

Store 1 (sister’s card)

2 Lipton Decaf @ 2.50 ea = $5
4 Loreal Pro Vive @ 5.19 ea, BOGO, = $10.38
Right guard 2.50
Soft & Dri 2.50

-$4/20
-$1.25 right guard
-.75 soft & dri
-$1 on 2 liptons
-$4.99 loreal pro vive x 2 (max value of coupon)
-2.99 ECB

subtotal .41 + .42 tax = .83 OOP

Received $2 ECB for right guard/soft & dri deal

Store 2

Raid Ant bait 4ct (needed this) $3.49
Excedrin ES 250 count $13.49
Excedrin Back & Body 50ct $6.69

-$4/20
-$1 Excedrin
-$2 Excedrin Back & Body
-.75 raid product
-$15 ECB (from household deal a couple days ago)

total .92 OOP

Got back $15 ECB for Excedrin deal

Store 3 (sister’s card)

2 Cottonelle @ 6.00 ea = $12
Oust air spray $3
2 l’oreal pro vive @ 5.29 ea, BOGO (some of my CVSs had them for 5.19 and some had them for 5.29, not sure why!)

-$4/20
-$1 cottonelle x 2
-$2 oust
-$5.29 l’oreal bogo coupon (guess some cashiers don’t read the max value on the coupon!)
-$5 ECB
-$2 ECB

subtotal .00 + .47 tax = .47 OOP!
Now, I had another ECB for .50 and this cashier told me I could use it for the tax and had never heard that you could not! But I decided to save it. Yes, I’m cheap, I want my 3 pennies. :lmao:

Store 4 (sister’s card)

5 Kleenex @ $2 = $10
Hellman’s mayo x 2 = 2.50 x 2 = $5

-$4/20
-$1 on 2 Hellman’s
-$10 ECB

total OOP 0.00!!! Got back $2 ECB for hellman’s/lipton deal

Now, before anyone asks how I used the $4/20 on a purchase that was clearly not $20, let me tell you. I originally had 2 l’oreal pro vive and tried to use the BOGO coupon with it as well, but the cashier said I could not, since 1 was already free. I asked for the manager and she backed him up. (Goofyforlife, think Napoleon Dynamite!) I said that 4 other CVS stores had already let me do the same thing, but she said that they should not have. So I said ok, take the shampoo/conditioner off and I”ll get something else. He said but it’s bogo, you’re still getting a good price. I said it’s cheaper at walmart! He took it off and I thought he was going to cancel out the $4/20, so I would’ve just gotten some Hershey’s cacao or johnson’s buddies to bump it back to $20, but he didn’t, so I didn’t worry about it.

Store 5 (sister’s card)

3 boxes Kleenex @ $2 ea = $6
4 L’oreal Pro Vive @ 5.19, BOGO, = $10.38
Johnson’s buddy bar .99
Cacao Reserve bar 2.49

-$4/20
-.99 johnson’s buddies
-$2.49 cacao reserve
-$5.19 l’oreal pro vive x 2
-.50 ECB (got my 3 cents! ;) )

subtotal 1.50 + .77 tax = 2.27 OOP

Got $15 ECB for household deal

Store 6 (sister’s card)

2 l’oreal pro vive @ $5.19, BOGO
Excedrin ES 250 ct $13.49
Excedrin Back & Body 50 ct $6.69

-$4/20
-$1 Excedrin
-$5.19 L’oreal bogo coupon
-$15 ECB

subtotal .18 + .00 tax = .18 OOP

Got back $15 ECB for Excedrin deal

Store 7

3 Lipton Tea (1 reg, 2 decaf) @ $2.50 ea = $7.50
4 l’oreal pro vive @ $5.29 ea, BOGO, = $10.58
Hellman’s mayo 2.50

-$4/20
-.50 Hellman’s
-$5.29 l’oreal bogo coupon, x2
-$2 ECB

subtotal $3.50 + .23 tax = $3.73

Got back $5 ECB for hellman’s/lipton

So I spent a total of $8.40 OOP today and I have 2 $15 ECBs to use, plus a couple other smaller ones.

Man…what a rush! LOL

1st - GREAT TRIP!

2nd - a little money saving home remedy I learned from my MD. he told me that duct tape irritates the skin and if I get another wart (he froze one off for me) that I should just take a piece of duct tape and put it on it and leave it there. It will iritate it and disolve it.
DH just had this wart removed surgically..it's on the bottom of his foot. Doc said it might reappear and it did. DH didn't want to go back to the Doc again(he'd been twice for the removal) and "a guy at work said these things worked for him" so he was bound and determined to try the wart remover pads. 'Cause, ya know, that "guy at work" knows all kinds of stuff!:rotfl2: I decided to humor him eventhough I'd really rather he went back to the foot doc. We'll see if these things actually do the trick.

Both of my sons get planter's warts, I have no idea how they get them! No one else in the family does. We've done everything - removal by doctors, the pads, duct tape! (was in an article) and I've even bought the expensive stuff where you freeze it off yourself.

Do they share a shower? It is a virus so perhaps they're passing it back and forth somehow.

DD also had a planter's wart and we had hers removed and it's never come back. DH's came right back though. We'll try these little pads and if they don't work, I'm sending him back to the foot doc.

I'm not offended by it, I was just saying that for most people, it's EXTREMELY hard to read when someone types in all caps. I usually skip all caps posts, but since it was on the CVS thread, I wanted to read it. You seem like a nice person who is genuinely interested in the topic, so I thought I'd mention that typing in all caps will be hard for most of us to read. I just figured if you wanted your posts to be read and responded to, you might try not typing in all caps because I know a lot of others skip posts in all caps as well.

Kimya
OK, I confess, after reading the 1st line, I skipped all of her postings as they were in caps. Call me lazy, I just don't enjoy caps.:hippie:

Ooooooooooooooooooooooo, that Kissables CRT is SWEET! We  chocolate. Got nearly all the same ones (except no kissables or playskool, the later probably because DD and DS are out of the baby-product stage). Maybe they figured there was no need to give us a chocolate related CRT, as we don't need any incentive to buy it. :cloud9:

I got an email asking me to complete a survey on CVS and some new ideas & I would receive a $10 ECB printed after August 17th!

For those that haven't signed up: https://www.cvsadvisor.com/cvs/membe...KEN=184 69842

I also got 2 (1 on each card for $10) that printed the beginning of this month for surveys in June so MORE FREE MONEY!!!

Thank you for posting this! :goodvibes

I just signed up and I'm looking forward to the extra $!

You know i signed up for that same thing and I have yet to get anything, its getting frustrating that everybody else gets them and i dont...lol

Anyway I finally hit my cvs today again and stil after all week, no shower cleaner so i just bought more kotex, its not like they wont get used. OOP was $2.55 and I got back my $30 ecb's. Im too lazy to post what i got but that was the gist of it and i hit the coupon machine and got a bunch of the same crt's that wree posted above.
Next week looks sorta like a bum week so i dont know what ill do..lol

My CfreeS dumb luck....

Went today to finish out my shower cleaner deal....

I should have known it was a sign when they had everything i needed for my first $20 order.

Got to the register...

Cashier took both my $4/20 internet printout and (oh yeah i finally am getting some crt's again) a CRT for $3/10

The total was like $7.20ish and when the reciept printed it was blank...

DOH....Here the cashier had the register tape in wrong...

But i said what about my $18 ECB.

She called up some weasley little guy i'd never seen before and he says that he can't do anything. So i told him that CS said to always resolve at the store. (and that they usually give money card)

Anyway, he went to get a transaction report from the back and came back and gave my $$$ instead...

  WOOHOO

Used $11 of it to buy some stuff at the food store afterwards...

Got a great load at Target today too.

For $9 i got:

(10) 32 oz powerades
( 3) 38 count electrosol (yes.. you read right 38 ct. They had bonus pacs of the gelpack kind for $2.99. Free electrosol coupons say any gel or tablet under $4.99 so BONUS SIZE IT IS)
( 6) Trial size Tides (love these for Disney trips or just to keep around when our regular detergent gets low)
( 2) Bottles of Special K Protein water (Thanks again for coupons, Sally)
( 3) More Bottles of Sparkling Water (hey for $0.09 each and my dd loves it.)

*****PS I'm running out of room for all this cheap stuff and may have to convert one of our bathrooms into a shelving unit.

I so have to take a picture with my stash of stuff.

Hey...

If anyone doesn't need their Pure protein bar Coupons....

I'd really appreciate.... I have to supplement extra protein each day so those coupons are a godsend....

So we did the Chuck E Cheese thing - free!!! (sorta) I use the coupons in the paper and get double the coins in 1 trip, put away 1/2 and then we go a 2nd time without paying anything OOP. DH doesn't like the food there so we just go and play for an hour or so.

Got my last deal too! The CVS I usually hate going to because the manager is a jerk always has inventory but I don't like dealing with the whole 1 ECB per transaction BS. So I figure all my other CVS's were out of stock I would try to push it through (I had 3 ECB's to use on the transaction). Here is what I did:

Transaction #1
$6.75 - 1/2 gallon water jug cooler thing - 9.99 - 25% off
$3.25 - miscellaneous clearance items - dollar spot 75% off! - I got 4 kitty litter scoops (I want to attempt the kitty litter cake and at .25 each I don't care if I don't get them back), 2 flashlights, 16 crayola crayon looking erasers (2 in a pack), 2 race car pencil sharpeners, 2 packages of magnetic chip clip type things, 1 package (2 pack) of hair clips,

-10.00 ECB I got for survey

Paid $.25 out of pocket. We wanted the cooler thing for road trips, soccer practice games, etc. and we will be getting a rebate of $9.99 for it so really the whole transaction cost me nothing and I will get CASH instead of an ECB in return!

Transaction #2 - it took me 5 stores to find 1 with the inventory - everyone is out of toilet paper/paper towels!
$18.00 - 3 packages of Cottonelle
$9.00 - 3 Shout
$3.00 - 1 Scrubbing Bubbles
-5/30 email
-3.00 Cottonelle Coupon x 3
-3.00 Shout Coupons - $2/2 & $1/1
-20 ECB's (10, 5, 5)

Total = 0.00 - the cashier was so impressed by me :goodvibes Got back $15 ECB.

A couple of the stores near me had TONS of the cottonelle stacked up in a big pile. I couldn't believe it, on a SATURDAY!
