I'VE GOT A QUESTION FOR YOU = I HAD A COUPON FOR BOGO FREE SUNSILK AND WITH THE DEAL BUY THIS AND THIS AND GET THIS FREE I WAS REALLY HOPING THAT I COULD BUY THE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER WITH THE COUPON AND EXPECT TO GET THE TREATMENT FOR FREE WITH THE CVS SPECIAL DEAL. DIDN'T QUITE WORK OUT THAT WAY!
WAS I WRONG TO THINK THAT WAY? I DIDN'T BOTHER TO ASK THE CASHIER BECAUSE I HAD A VERY LARGE ORDER AND REGISTER DIDN'T GIVE ME BACK $15/30 DEAL AND SHE HAD TO REFUND & RERING THAT DEAL.
FOR THE SUNSILK DEAL - NO I DID NOT DO THE DEAL BEFORE THIS WAS THE ONLY TIME I'VE EVER PURCHASED SUNSILK AT ALL. NO THE CASH REGISTER DID NOT AUTO DEDUCT IT AT THE END SO BASICALLY I THINK I JUST LOST OUT ON MAKING THAT DEAL WORK WITH MY Q. I REALLY JUST HATED TO ASK ABOUT IT AND LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT ~
Here are my latest steals...I mean deals:
MK & A perfume 6.99 ( for my 7 yrs old)
coupons used:
5 off fragrance purchase
I've been biten by the CVS bug and have done really well lately, but have some questions.
1. On every CVS trip I've had a "bonus" ECB print on my receipt for $5 off $25. BUT I didn't get one today. I did go to two CVS's today. Do you only get one per day? Or have I just been lucky to get them at all? All CRT's are a crap shot - no rhyme or reason and seem to come in spurts. I get $4/20 quite frequently but am now going through a dry spell of only a couple.
2. Does anyone know how I can get another $4 off $20 coupon that you get when you update your email? I got one week before last, but it expired on 7/17. It seems the one out now expires in December, but I can't update my email again, it says I've already done it. I'm just annoyed because my $4 off $20 was good for 2 weeks, but it seems if I'd waited to get it now, it would be good for five months! I have 4 cards active in the systemI use 2 but have emails sent on all 4 - these emails I update periodically and this way I get 4 of the individual emails. Just a tip. Also the December $4/20 works and I have used it many time but some have said it is a fraudelent coupon so will not use it. I do not know if it is fraudelent or not but I figure that CVS is aware of it being out there and would make the code inactive if it is NOT a valid coupon. ALOT of us on this board alone have used it many many times. Email update coupon is usually no good after 2-3 weeks so who knows.
3. I had my first "problem" today. I bought:
Lamisil lotion for $9.99 and Lamisil jock itch cream (yeah, I know) for $10.49, to meet the $20 requirement for the $15 ECB. BUT I didn't get the ECB. The cashier called the manager and she looked at the ad and said the picture showed Lamisil athlete's foot cream, so she had me go get that. So, she did the jock itch cream as a return and rang up the athlete's foot cream, and said I owed $6.50! Turns out instead of $10.49, the foot cream was $16.49!!! My $15 ECB DID print on that receipt. BUT I don't need or want the foot cream! So, I spent $16.49 on something I don't want to get $15 ECB back!
Had I noticed the price difference I would have gotten exedrin instead of the foot cream, but I thought it would be an even trade. AND I was flustered.
I thought of returning the Lamisil foot cream, but what about the ECB I got for $15. This was my first problem and I'm SO bummed! When you make a return that is involved in an ECB transaction the amount is deducted from your quarterly total. It will NOT inactivate the ECB it helped generate and it can be returned. I usually return things paid for with an ECB or gift card without the receipt only because then there is no question on how to return it. Standard procedure without the receipt is to return it onto a money card. Now standard procedure would be to do that anyway when paying with ECB/GC but it seems to confuse many cashiers so I omit the receipt & payment type to bypass that issue.
Thanks for the help!
This deal has not been working for anyone. You should have gotten the shampoo & conditioner free with the coupon but the creme just is not coming up that way. You could call customer service on it but not sure how helpful they have been on this deal.
WAS I WRONG TO THINK THAT WAY? I DIDN'T BOTHER TO ASK THE CASHIER BECAUSE I HAD A VERY LARGE ORDER AND REGISTER DIDN'T GIVE ME BACK $15/30 DEAL AND SHE HAD TO REFUND & RERING THAT DEAL.
THEN WHEN I GOT HOME I ALSO NOTICED THAT I HAD FOUR FREE BARS OF ADKINS & ONE FREE PACK OF SHAKES (DOING THE NUTRITION DEAL I HAD $35 WORTH OF FREE PRODUCT TOWARDS THE $40 TO GET BACK TEN) ANYWAY WHEN SHE CREDITED THE COUPONS SHE ONLY CREDITED ME A BAR FOR THE SHAKE COUPON SO SHE CHEATED ME A LITTLE OVER $5 THERE. Call the store and ask to speak with a manager/supervisor and explain what happened. That you had a large order and did not notice until you got home that they had not rung through 1 of your coupons for _______. If the store manager is good he will have you come in and take care of the issue - usually give you a money card for that amount.
ANYWAY, I GUESS AFTER ONE LONG CRAPPY DAY OF DOING ERRANDS AND THE NORMAL SHOPPING TRIPS I STILL MANAGED TO COME OUT OKAY BUT HECK I FEEL LIKE CVS STILL OWES ME $10BUT I GUESS I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN CONSIDERING ALL THE FREE STUFF I'VE GOTTEN OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS.
I used (coupons from tomorrow's paper are in red):
$1 off Purex (any size)I paid $0 and got a $15 ECB ($15 for $30 purchase of select items).
Oust BOGO coupon (value = $3)
$3 off 2 Pledge Multi-Surface Spray
$1.50 off of 2 Scrubbing Bubbles refills
$1 off Windex Wipes
75¢ off 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Spray
$27.95 in ECBs
So, I got all my stuff for free and another $15 off next week's shopping trip. Now I've got to go thru next week's ad and my coupons to see what I can get for next to nothing!
I am confused, and what else is new. I just started this last week and had another order this week. Am I right when I read the post below that you can use a 10/50, 5/30, and 4/20 coupon on the same order on the same card. If so I did not take advantage of this. And I hate to think I did notget all that I could.![]()

This totalled around $81. I needed the wart remover and the bread...they were the only things that weren't part of my "mission" and I've since figured out that without them, I would have only paid $.18 out of pocket but that's fine by me. Here's the coupons I used and what I ended up paying:
