CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 3/16/08-3/22/08

Oh my gosh, I thought you were going to say it fell into the toilet or sink Ugh, I totally understand your unhappiness having to reorganize it -- mine has on more than one occasion spilled out inside my bag and onto the car floor.

Still grosses me out that they all fell on the floor.

I thought you were going to say that you saw someone walk off with it when you came out of the stall.

One time when I was going scrapbooking, I had all of my pictures in one of those photoboxes you can buy (look like a shoebox). Anyway, I had them in the front passenger seat. When I got to the scrapbook place, I went around to the passenger side of the car and opened the door and the box fell out INTO A MUD PUDDLE! All of my precious pictures were soaking wet!

I went to a CVS that is a little farther away from my house then the 2 I normally go to, but it is a really nice store that always has things marked correctly and stocked. In my basket were 5 life patches, 5 lypsyl and 2 of the small crest rinse. While passing a lady in the aisle, she eyed my basket, smiled and said "Grocery Game" huh? LOL Although I have heard of that, I have never looked into it, so I chuckled and said no I have an online cvs group that helps me out. Made me laugh

I also broke down and got DH his own card....ugh! I swore I wouldn't go there...lol

I got 2 playskool totes, and had 2 coupons from previous totes to use on them. She scanned one fine, but the other said over the limit and she showed me on the coupon that it says 1 per customer and that it is linked to my card??? So do I need to buy these 1 at a time and say I don't have a CVS card or was this just a nice, but picky cashier?

You can only use one per transaction, most of the CVS coupons for "things" are like that, but to further confuses this, if you bought diapers too, you can use a CVS coupon for that - it's just one item only/one coupon only. Doesn't apply to CRTs or ECBs or $/$$.

Some stores will do separate transactions, and some will push them through, but it's a sure fire way to be remembered as "one of those people."

I had this happen to me last night too. The young guy said "Oh it says you are over the coupon limit." I didn't know what he meant so I just looked at him kind of confused. And he said "I'll just put it thru." Ok that is fine with me! But now I know the reason.

Just proving to me what others have said: Go for the young guy cashier! They'll just keep ringing it up!

Are the playschool diapers BOGO free? If so, how much are two packs?

I have a $3 CRT and can print the $2 manu coupon. If they are BOGO then I can buy two packs, use the CRT and 2 of the manus and toss in a cheap item to keep the register from beeping?

I swear, I don't CVS for 3 weeks and I loose my groove! lol

I think something was really messed up there because mfg. coupons never counted - so even if they've changed the register system regarding the number of items vs. CVS coupons, it shouldn't have mattered.

I have had major trouble with a set of coupons from CVS that were mailed to me by them and also with a $2/10 that was available in the store. What happened with them was that once they were used, it wouldn't take ECBs or anything greater than the amount of that coupon after it was scanned. The trick for those is to give them last - most of these were $3/15 so you had to watch the screen and when you were down to $3-something, you gave them that coupon and it still worked.

I know this doesn't explain what happened to you though. I'm hoping it was just because it was a new store.

I think you are right, as I think back, the lady when we first came into the store was having problems with the "mailed" coupons, and they were the last 2 to be scanned in. I also looked over my receipt and she didn't take off the 4 off 20. o well. i will print it again and use it when i spend my $23 ecbs of my aunts. Then I am back down to 2 cards. I only used hers since I gave her the stuff.
i got frustrated since there were like 6-8 people behind me and the manager was checking me out so i just assumed she would have known.

i never do as well as the rest of you, but I still have fun. I usually have out of pocket expenses, but then i get a good amount back.

No kid mouthwash at my place either. I was there yesterday and I went back today because they get their truck on Weds AM. The mgr aid he has never even seen it before!! They were half done unpacking. We'll see if it shows up. I did finally get my lipsyl that is on the monthly. I like it very much! AND I transfered a Rx and got my $30 gift card. Very fun!!

I just wanted to say my store did have the mouthwash (although not tagged as free, but on sale, but did print ECB) and my son LOVED it! He was in heaven when I brought home his surprises! Mouthwash and toothpaste (not on sale but he was out and really was complaining about the colgate ones I had gotten).

My store also had the lady speed stick (and guys) tagged as $.99 get $99 ECB for free. I told the cashier how that was odd and she said that they rang $1.99, which they did and she then tore off the tags. Did anyone else notice this at their store? I paid the $1.99 but honestly would have gotten something different since I had passed them the first 2x until I noticed the price was different.

You need to buy them 1 @ a time (one per transaction).

A CRT is a Cash Register Tape coupon. You will start getting them after you shop at CVS for awhile, or if you have a price scanner that has paper in it, scan your card when you first arrive at CVS and at least a $3/10 coupon for CVS Brand items will print every time (according to others, we don't have one here, jsut a price-checker scanner)

They are on sale for $10.99 this week ($3 off). Besides the coupons you have, there is also three $2 coupons in the Playskool totes that are on clearance for either $1.49 or 75 cents or 29 cents. You get 2 small diapers in the tote, a bottle, a tiny pack of wipes and a coupon book. There is a $2 coupon with the diapers, two in the book, two $1 off Playskool wipes, two $1 off accessories (which can be used to buy more totes), and a coupon worth $5.80 for 20 free photo prints.

If you find the bonus packs, and it was something you were considering, I'd bring them to the register and ask for a price check. It's a pretty good deal if you have coupons.

i finally found those darn toothbrushes today.....i snatched the last 2 on the shelf....so i think im quite possibly done with the march flyer....short the vitamins but i cant find them and we dont use them...so im not tooo worried about them....i need one more venus embrace....but if it doesnt materialize then that okay too....

i found a ton of softsoap body wash on sale...(my favorite....looks like they are discontinuing it so i took all of them...) i need to take pictures of my "stockpiles" so i can show you guys what a pro im turning into
and i also found a set of small speakers for dd's mp3 player....90% off so 2.50 well invested.

now to wait for the april flyer.....and start planning a whole new month of
cvs'ing!!!!

Its funny you mention this. A couple of weeks ago I was in my CVS and I saw a woman who looked like she was on a mission. She had a canvas bag in the front of her carriage with a CVS spreadsheet and notebook sticking out of it. She was thumbing through coupons and had the Lypsyls, toothpaste, etc in the carriage. I figured she had to be "one of us", or from HCW. Seeing as though I was in there for the Be Fine packets (that I found above the cleaning aisle) I wanted to ask her if she had spotted those and knew that they were working but didn't dare say anything. I didn't want her to think I was some nut...

I don't worry about people thinking I am a nut since all they have to do is talk to me for a few and they will be certain I am a nut.

Yep!! It worked for me!! I went looking for the Pro Health toothbrushes and they were out. The manager told me to just choose any two Oral B's and he would ring them up for a penny each. So, I got two for two cents and I can still get two more for free after ECB's!! WooHOo!!
