CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 3/1-3/7

The Suave deal from a few weeks ago actually is good until March 14th. The original deal was buy 3 at $2 each ($6 total), and received a $2 ECB.

They've lowered the threshold to $5.97 because some ring up at $1.99 each.

The limit is 5 offers (15 bottles).

They don't end up free, but it is a good filler for people who get $/$$ coupons.

Some Red Plum inserts got these coupons today:

50 c off 1 body wash/lotion
$1 off 2 body wash/lotion
$2 off 3 body wash/lotion
$1 off 2 shampoo/conditioner/hairspray
$1.75 off 3 shampoo/conditioner/hairspray

I still don't know if the Men's body wash is working, it wasn't corrected during the week it was advertised (2-15), but all of the other types were supposedly fixed.

I did okay today I got the Carnation Instant Breakfast and the Slimshots, I did the Aveno lotion & shave gel, used the cold coupon & a IP for Theraflu, I grabbed a bottle of CVS handsanatizer (marked $1, but rang up .50) I also had a CRT for Cottenelle moist wipes and combined it with a coupon to get them for around $1. I got two of the Johnson's bath buddies soap for .19 each after an IP$1 off, I did okay, I really wanted the ACT, but they were cleared out, and they didn't have the March books out yet, so I was basically blind, I wanted the vitamins too, but couldn't remember which they were.... Ohh they had some Crest toothpaste & whitestrip combo (Healthy Radience)on clearance for $6.50 & they let me use the $5 coupon from todays paper, it wasn't listed on the coupon, but it didn't beep I had a $5/$30 .... I got $57 worth and used a few ECBs paid $1.36 oop and managed to get most of my EBCs back.... I'd LOVE to do another run, but it's looking yucky still here...

Wow! Now that's a great CVS run!!

Today, I got:

Slim Shots 4.99
Carnation bfast 4.99
Act .99
coupon - 1 off carnation
ECBs - $10
OOP - $0! and I walked out with $10.98 in ECBs

I also used my "get a $25 gift card when you fill a prescription" coupon. My co-pay was $10, so I made $15 on that deal!

Tomorrow I'm filling two prescriptions at Rite Aid for $50 in gift cards!

Hello!

I looked at 2 of my local CVS's today for the ACT & no luck :( But I used both my cards & 2 gift cards & still made out pretty good :)

I love CVS :)

The Men's Suave bodywash - Refreshing - worked for me on the last Saturday the Suave sale was advertised, and they are bottles that are special value 50% more free. I can't figure out why they are specifically men's cause they smell really good, not "manly", unless they make you grow chest hair:rotfl2: ?

Thanks! I guess I'll be buying more Suave this week too. My son loves that one, I think it has menthol in it, I will try it, but if I grow chest hair, it's your fault :lmao:

So, Suave is still on sale? What is the price?

It should be either $1.99 or $2 each and you receive a $2 ECB when you buy 3 bottles at that price. Some of the bigger bottles cost more, so scan them to check. Also look for 50% bonus bottles and 33% bonus in the kids' types at the $1.99-2.00 price.

Do the kids work? I'd LOVE to get those! Is it shapoo & conditioner or just the bodywash?

how many cards do you use?

I have one and my dh has one. I agree with LanaJae that it's way too hard to keep ECB's straight on two cards. I use mine and he uses his which is seldom if ever.

Ok, here's my second attempt to start CVSing. I also had the $25 giftcard for transferring prescription. So I thought I would use it to get the most ECBs I could. So I bought 2 motrins to get 5ecbs, 1 triaminic thinstrip to get 2ecbs cause I had $1 coupon, $15.98 in covergirl to get 5ecbs cause i had 2 $1 coupons, oscillococcin cause I needed some & it had a $2 peely. Then I had a $2.50 off $12 CVS products so I bought the foam bath for 4.99, got 1ecb & bought facial wash for 8.49, got 1ecb. Also got a small cvs hand sanitizer for 1.19 since everyone in my house has the flu. So I had $10 in coupons, the $25 gift card which made my OOP $27.94 & got $13ecbs. I forgot the Carnation instant breakfast, hopefully I can get out of my driveway tomorrow to go get it. I spent more money then I needed too cause of the things I needed but I wanted to start my ECB stash again. So what should I do next week? Spend more OOP to get more ECBs again? I just don't want to spend all my ECBs again & have to start all over!:confused3

Okay, so if I did this the other week when they had the $2 ECB, can I do it again?

Next week you should only buy things that end up being free after ECB and coupons so that you earn the same amount of ECBs that you spend.

Don't buy anything that ends up costing anything after earning the ECB and using a coupon, UNLESS you really want it. It's easier to pay OOP for things like that until you really get started, because you end up spending money on something to earn ECBs (and you might not necessarily want those items). ECBs should be used to buy things that end up free and also earn ECBs. Eventually you will get ahead in ECBs (earning more than you spend). When you get to that point, then you can splurge a little on things such as Suave, that will end up costing $2 for 3 bottles.

I'm fairly new to this, but maybe I can help. I made this mistake the first few times I tried too. Try splitting your purchases up - so for your first purchase I would've tried to find as many things to earn ECBs that totalled $25 (your gift card). So, the Act rinse, Carnation, and Slimquick (whatever it's called). Those things totalled $10.98. If you had the $1 coupon, it totalled $9.98. Add to that your Osco .. . (I never spell that right.) I have no idea how much that is at CVS, but I know it's expensive! (We just got over the flu here.) Anyway, use your $25 GC and you would've received $10.98 in ECBs. As long as the Osco was under $15, you'd have had no OOP expenses.

Then, you could've used those $10.98 in ECBs to buy your other things, using the GC balance (if any) for the overage. Or, you could've walked out of the store after one transaction and waited until next week.

It takes a while to build up your stash of ECBs and stuff. I was lucky and got in right before the Thanksgiving giveaway and really got the hang of it then!

Right now, I'm down to about $20 in ECBs. That's plenty as long as I can get a couple of items with an overage each week.

Good luck!!!

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just cleaned house at CVS!!! Make sure to check all the other items in the beauty section!!!!

The robes said 75% off at my store but I price checked them and they were 90% I got 10 of the robes for $1.49 each, I got 12 of the sets that have 6 different shower gels, along with 6 color coordinated shower puffs for $1.29 each, 12 eof b lotion, gel, and spray sets in a little pouch for .49 each and 4 eof b metal holders (like the ones you put in the side of the sink) with a liquid soap and a lotion in each of the decorative holders for .79 each. I also had a $5 off a $20 CVS brand purchase CRT --(E of Beauty is a CVS brand) so I ended up with $361.00 worth of merchandise for $14. out of pocket!!!!!!!!

I am so psyched. DD goes to so many bday parties this will be a great gift for so many of those. And I will be able to just give people a nice little treat sometimes when I visit, or bring some to the shelter. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!

They all should :)

Yes, up to 5 times. Your transaction during the week of 2-15 counted as 1 of those 5 times.

It didn't work for me! I only did that deal once during that first week.

Today was not a good CVS day. :sad2:

Bought
Robe $1.49 :thumbsup2 (found on the bottom shelf of an endcap sort of hidden by some fake plant thing hanging in front of the shelf)
Slimquick $4.99
Carnation $4.99
Vitamin D $2.99
Cottonelle wipe $3.89
3 Suave $2.19 each

Had coupons for Suave, Cottonelle, then the $4/20 for this weekend only and 15 ECB

OOP 2.68

No ECB printed for the Sauve and since I didn't have the ad in hand they couldn't/wouldn't do anything.

I was going to do the Free Charmin after spending $20 on the front page of the ad......they didn't have the Charmin!!! No place on the shelf, not on an end cap and not in the back. She shrugged and said ohh well the truck comes in on Monday so come back then. They also didn't have the Act nor the Fusion Gamer. So 3 advertised things they never had in stock for the sale. I know they didn't have the Gamer as I've been checking daily since they ran out the first time 2 1/2 weeks ago. They never restocked them.

That's really strange about the Suave, can you look at your receipt and see if there's still a section about it at the bottom of your receipt? They're supposed to ring up at $1.99 or $2 to count for the offer.
