CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 3/1-3/7

So what's the most everyone pays for something OOP? Or does everyone just things that are only FREE after ECBS/coupons?

Does anyone know what time they usually set the new ads on Saturday night? I want to go and do both this weeks and next weeks deals at once. We have some nasty weather coming in tomorrow too!

Marsha

I just got home from going to two stores ten minutes apart. Nothing was displayed with tags for the new week at the first store. I think I still could have got what I wanted from last week's sale but there was nothing I wanted so I left with a Skin Effects hand cream which I got for free because I had a $5 off CRT for a Skin Effects product. :yay: Everything I wanted was displayed at the second store so I bought Carnation Instant Breakfast, Slimquick Energy 2 pk, ACT Total Care and a Naughty/Nice bag on clearance. Got .99 ECB, 4.99 ECB, 4.99 ECB and paid for most of it with ECB's leaving me with a small OOP for the Naughty/Nice bag. I also scanned my card and got a $5/$20 on CVS products. Now I need to figure out how to use that before 3/7. LanaJae, any ideas for me? :worship: Or anyone else, of course, I welcome ideas. Thanks!

I'll pay for things OOP if the price is better than somewhere else and I need it. I haven't needed to do that this year yet because I got so far ahead in ECBs because of coupon overage. Once I get down to about $25-40 in ECBs, I try not to spend more than I earn. It's too hard for me to roll ECBs in higher amounts than that.

Are the totes on sale? They aren't here yet, grrr

Not only aren't our totes on sale, but neither are the robes! They're still full price! Isn't that really unusual?? I'm so mad!

edited to ask: Has anyone else found the pedicure sets? I've looked and so has my mom and nada. I just can't find anything lately.

I try to keep it under $2 but I don't always succeed.

I meant to mention that although another site states limit of 1 on ACT Total Care, it must have more than a limit of one because my CRT doesn't say limit reached for that item. It does say limit reached for Carnation Instant Breakfast (1) and for SlimQuick Energy 2 Pk (1).

Yes, I found the pedicure sets at one of the two stores I was at today for 75% off. Also found more robes at the other store with the Valentine Day stuff also for 75% off. Saw the totes I think everyone was referring to and they were not marked down at all.

HUGGIES DIAPER PEOPLE!

Go here asap, there are 2 coupons to print, one is $5 off Huggies Gentle Care and another is $3 off Huggies Natural Fit, it was on page 2 for me:
These won't last long, there are print total limits.

Can print 2 at that site and 2 more at couponbug.com

This newbie to the DIS boards (but not to HCW) thanks you.

However, does CVS even have the Natural Fit and Gentle Care diapers? And if so, would they be eligible for the ECB special?

I would've bought what you bought before you got the coupon :rotfl: - I can't think of anything else for this week, but it will still be good for next week's sale (Saturday shopping) if it expires on the 7th and there will be lots of things to buy that week if I remember right.

Did Mahtomedi have everything? I will go there tonight if the stock looked pretty good when you were there. I only want to buy what you bought.

I think the coupons will work no matter what the package says at CVS. Sounds like Huggies is calling their size 1-2 "Gentle Care" and size 3+ "Natural Fit" now. I'm even thinking that the $5 coupon might work on any size.

There isn't a good ECB sale on these at CVS for awhile (April), but next week you can get a good deal at Walgreens if the $5 coupon works for any size (and if you can print 3):

$30.00 Three Jumbo Packs of Huggies on sale
-15.00 Three mfg. coupons
$15.00, plus earn a $10 Register Reward

If you can spend the $10 Register Reward on something else that you need, that is also on sale, you could technically say you paid $5 for 3 Jumbo packs of Huggies.

Yes, Mahtomedi came through on everything. When I was there at about 3:30 there were several boxes of Carnation (both milk chocolate and vanilla), about five or six Slimquicks were left, and a fairly large display of ACT. Look for the ACT on a high display near the toothpaste.

Thanks so much, I will head over there now. I am dense, I just realized your coupon was off CVS Brand. Woodbury will most likely let you use it next Sat. night on any $20 total, none of the other stores here will. Woodbury doesn't activate the next week's prices as quickly, but usually have it done by about 5 pm.

I've gotta say, I just love CVS for putting Carnation Instant Breakfast free after ECB. That stuff is awesome!! :lovestruc I might have to get another card for that deal!

Just watch that you get the ECB for Carnation. My store had then listed at 5.69, but it was the one in the ad. The ECB didn't print out, but the cashier printed me out one manually for $6. \\Marsha

I just got back and my store that isn't 24 hours told me they set the new deals at 5pm so from 5pm to 10pm you can do both weeks. Of course I tried to finish up the Nyquil deal from this week and my ECB didn't print.

Will do! I need you to PM me your address so I can send you several of the $3 Huggies coupons in the mail - also, if you think they will take the $5 ones on the bigger kids' size, I'll send those too.

Whoooo hoooooooooo! Thank you!!! I will gladly take those off your hands!!! :) Sending you a PM. Any you need?

Even if I can't use them off the big ones, my adopted little sister had a baby boy 3 days ago so she can use them off the itty bitty ones. :thumbsup2

Our store carries both of these and the regular Huggies too. There are fewer Huggies in the Natural Fit and Gentle Care packs than in the regular packs.

I've been doing good with my OOP. Mostly under $1. I didn't go at all last week because I've been sick.

For the month of March there are Kotex pantiliners and after ECBs and coupons it comes out to .44 a box. So things like that where they are much cheaper after ECBs and coupons is something that you would spend your ECBs on?

Our stores usually activate the new sale prices at 6 PM on Saturday. I went tonight to be the storm too.

Our robes were in 2 different spots-an endcap in makeup and a wire rack by the razors. No signs on them, but I had the cashier check the price and it rang up at 3.75.

Found it all :thumbsup2 Thanks! I would've missed finding the ACT.

I was thinking about your $5/20 and maybe the robes will go 90% off tomorrow and you could get lots of them, the Vitamin D that is going to be the March free-after-ECB, and then if you still needed more to get to $20, you could get some of those Essence of Beauty things that are in the clearance section at Mahtomedi. I am pretty sure Woodbury will take it for anything, but I just ran into issues at Maplewood on the way home and - the cashier (haven't seen her before) wouldn't adjust my $10 ECB to $9.97 and then seemed ticked when I ran back to get a 75% off candy when there was no one else in the store. That's never happened before to me, they've always adjusted them down by a few cents.

My daughter was thrilled too, she loves it and begs for it in the grocery store all the time.

Great! I read the PM before I read this. Congratulations on your new nephew!

I knew I shouldn't be answering diaper questions, I am too old to be a new mom and too young to be a grandma (well not too young, my older kids are under strict orders to wait :rotfl2: ).

Yes, I would spend ECBs on those or pay OOP for them, especially if it was a brand I used myself. Sometimes you make a little after coupons and ECBs and sometimes you spend a little after coupons and ECBs and often it'll work out to be equal.

Last week, it would only have taken 1 Colgate and 1 $1.50 mfg. coupon to cover the extra cost on 3 packages of those panty liners. That's how I think about things when spending ECBs.

Just a heads up...there will be a P&G coupon insert in tomorrows(Sunday) paper.

You guys are so helpful! Thank you! :cloud9:

My Mom is trying to get into it and I'm explaining it all to her... She says, 'Well why I would I get something like the Instant Breakfast if we don't use it?' Well, Mom! It's free! :thumbsup2

Oops. Me bad. It's the Pampers that has the ECBs this month, not the Huggies. Thanks for the Walgreens tip...I may try that. However, I'm just getting used to rolling ECBs. I don't know if I can try Wags' RRs.

Again, thanks.
