CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 2/8-2/14

Welcome home! Were you freezing last week? Did you have WDW to yourself in the cold weather?

Sorry to hear about your son, hope it didn't last long. Not fair to get sick on vacation :(

My husband ate all 30 of our Promax bars within a few weeks after I bought them :scared1: He needs to be recalled. He keeps insisting that he is the same size he was 15 years ago, our scale must be 50 lbs. off.

Looking forward to seeing the picture - you should've had all the characters and princesses hold it too :rotfl:

Yes, we were freezing. I bought a Tinkerbell jacket since I didn't bring a coat since I was sure they were wrong about the weather reports. And we had the place to ourselves. Really, I think there were 2 other people in line with us in fantasyland on ALL the attractions from 7pm - 8pm one night. THERE WAS NO ONE THERE. It was also cold and rainy. Did I mention it was cold?

DS is fine... he's still coughing a bit, but he's OK. Luckily, he got the sickness 2 days after WDW. We were just lounging around on the Gulf side well, inside since it was freezing but whatever. Didn't miss any precious resort & park time!

About your DH....:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

About the picture: do you know how dorky we felt posing with CVS cards in the Grand Floridian Lobby? My DH pretended to watch the kids FAR FAR away from us while my poor dad had to take our picture. he's like, "what's this for?" "CVS friends???":confused3

YES we insisted. They are counting on us to be NERDS!:thumbsup2

I bought 3 magazines and did each transactions separate. You can only use one CVS coupon per item per transaction. If I had the current issue, the first one wouldn't beep, but all others would in the same transaction (some stores would push them through rather than ringing them all separate). There are also some regular mfg. coupons in those magazines and you can use multiples of those. The way you can tell is from the numbers under the bar code - if it starts with a "4," it's a CVS coupon and only one per transaction.

They need a coupon for each item, won't scan the same one more than once.

I finally found this magazine in the front corner of the store. They are in a bad spot and they had one set with Queen Latifa on the front then another with someone else on the front. I was in a hurry but it looked like they both had expired coupons in them. :confused3 What's the point in selling a magazine from this past summer?

This is going to be my goal next trip - get Cinderella to hold a CVS card!! :rotfl2: Do you think I could get her to hold some toothpaste too??

I almost had a heart attack at Walgreens yesterday. I stopped by to drop off my Redbox movie and went in to see if they had any of the clearance Olay body wash (.29 after coupon). I thought, hey, I will get DH's valentine card while I am here. So I look through them all and pick one out I like. It was plain, basic, nothing fancy like music or talking or even velvet and gold trim. However, I DID NOT LOOK AT THE PRICE. (I know... I know ...). So I go to the counter to check out and the lady says, "$5.39". I was like "What! I should have looked at the price first!" Then I said, "I guess my DH is worth it." She then asks, "Do you want the receipt or in the bag." I said, "Maybe I should keep the receipt in the card so DH knows how expensive it was. :) " She said, "When you care enough to send the very best." :rotfl2:

The whole time I was thinking to myself, "Why didn't I just give DH one of the free Valentine cards I got from CVS?????""

Wow, that IS alot.
Hey Maggie or anyone,
I often see stuff like that, knowing I have coupons (in the car or home) so buy it without the coupon, still knowing its a GREAT deal.
So do you carry all your coupons with you all the time?
My purse isn't big enough, not to mention the shoulder ache I'd have!

Also,
Can anyone explain the Glade deal you're doing? Not the spray for .99 and $1/2, but the other deal, whatever it is?
I remember reading about it here but can't find it now.

I was thinking about you every time someone mentioned the temp. in FL. It was cold on our cruise too until we got to Grand Cayman, and it was nice in Cozumel too, but windy. Were were at Magic Kingdom in January one year and literally had the place to ourselves.

Your dad is a trooper! He needs his own card.

I think they are just used to the magazine people restocking and forget that they need to take care of their own magazine. I'm going to tell them next time I'm in the store.

Love it - bet she would, she wants you to be happy!

I know exactly how you feel! I can't bring myself to buy cards anymore so mine is getting a free CVS one - and he better use one of them for me too.

Maybe it's what I was doing - there were $4 Glade Sense and Spray (I think) and Glade Lasting Impressions coupons in last weekend's paper. Those two are part of the bonus deals and are $6.99 with $2 ECB (regular $8.99 I think). I used the coupon and a $1 Glade CRT to make it free. Without the CRT, they are 99 cents, but worth it IMO.

I only carry in coupons for what I plan to buy, but I do keep some in the car for stuff I really like and I'll go back out to get them, but it makes me think twice. I only cut coupons for things that I buy on a regular basis, the rest stay in the inserts until I need them.

I've started keeping my coupons in my big Vera Bradley bag in the car. Then on the evenings when I work on my spending plan I bring it in the house. I paperclip my coupons to the matching stores list. So my Walgreens list (list is from couponmom site) has the $6 RR, Pert, Energizer, Scrubbing Bubbles coupons on it. I don't carry a purse, usually just a big wallet so I just grab the right list/coupon combo when I walk into that store. More than once I've seen an unexpected sale and sent DS back to the car with exact instructions for where a particular coupon is located. :thumbsup2

I stopped by CVS on my way to work to buy Cascade and they had just gotten in a new shipment of Madagascar 2! The cashier said they had just gotten them in that morning. :cool1: So I did the P&G deal (Charmin, Bounty & 1 Pantene).

Has anyone tried returning the Promax bars that were recalled? I went through my pile of them last night and found 13 that were on the list.

I read about others who have returned them. You don't need a receipt and stores are either giving straight cash or a CVS money card.

Are the CVS cotton rounds 25ct a monthly or a weekly deal? I found 5 today and bought them but didn't realize the deal was when you buy 2 so I am 1 short. Is there anything else that I can buy 1 of to trigger the ECB for that deal?

It is a monthly deal. Well, you can buy any 2 CVS brand nail care product to get the ecb deal. But the cheapest items are the 25 ct cotton rds and the cotton squares in a plastic travel pack(I think they are a 10 ct pack)...both .99.

Found this at Walgreens -

The large sized Gold Bond cream was marked down to $3.79. There's a $2.00 coupon out from within the last few weeks, bringing it to only $1.79. Not my fave in terms of fragrance ect, but for the dry skin of winter, its a great deal for lotion that really works.

HTH!
