CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 2/15-2/21

It's strange that the 2 you bought didn't show up today so I would only buy 3 more and see what it shows.

I thought it was odd too - I must of checked it 10 times. So, I'll follow your advice and try three more and see what happens! Thanks!:goodvibes

I bought 2 colgate yesterday and receipt said offer reached, today after a small purchase it was different, so I went back and bought 3 more. Gotta love that.
Also, I bought Dr. Pepper for the coke deal and it worked fine. I hate the stuff, but DH and boys love it.
I also found 2 of the bodiheat's and both had $1 cpns on them and 1 of the J&J bandages.
I got the following CRT's today:$2 off any carefree pantiliner (exc 22ct), $1 fruitopia and $1 any size jergens lotion on one card and on my other card from the scan machine $2 off $10 CVS, $1 off Blade sh/conditioner and $3 off 2 triaminic/theraflu, which will come in handy because I have 2 $3 coupons off any triaminic product that I got at my doctors office.
I found the green m&m's too and they rang at 3.47....oh well.

With the CRTs you print at the scanner machine, is it one set of CRTs per store? Or one set per card for the day? So if I go to store #1 and print out CRTs with my card and then go to store #2 will it print out different CRTs off the same card?

I got the 2/10 CVS item CRT too...

Hmm. What should we use it on?

So is there an definitive answer about that type of CRT? Some people say it can be used on any $10 purchase, and I've had clerks use it as such.
Others here, as well as clerks, say it has to be a $10 CVS *BRAND* purchase, ie cvs meds, or cvs body lotions ect.

Anyone know for sure?

well I just recently learned from here, that you can keep scanning your card until it says no more. I always just did it once when I was in the store, thinking that was it, until I read otherwise. Not sure what the limit is. Also, in stores that have mulitple scanners, if the first one says "no coupons today" (or whatever the wording is), go to another, because sometimes its just the machine not printing and it will print from another.

My store makes you buy CVS brand items. I've heard, however, that it will scan with any $10 purchase.

Hi! I'm new to CVS'ing this week. I think I'm getting the hang of it...did the neutrogena deal, the colgate deal twice, the suave deal, the herbal essence deal, and the coke. :cool1: This was all at the same store, so they think I'm a little crazy, but oh well!

I'm hoping someone can enlighten me on this Gilette gamer razor deal. My CVS has a lot of them in stock, and I have a coupon too. However, there was no little yellow sign on the display stating any ECB's...so I was afraid to get one since it was over $11. Does it give ECB's?

TIA!

Ladies, that is one great picture in the GF lobby.

I got the Theraflu CRT also and with the coupons and the monthly ecb deal, it should be free or close to free Theraflu. Does anyone know if they have fixed the Suave ecb not printing issue yet? I have the free Suave product coupon that I got in the mail last week that I wanted to use to stock up on bodywash. This will balance nicely the bunch of Colgate and Herbal Essences:laughing:

What I just can't figure out is the tax thing. Yesterday, I went to two CVS and had $1.02 and $0.89 out of pocket - all for tax. But, there are other times I go when I don't have to pay anything out of pocket. I know that here in Florida, food is not taxed, but I rarely buy food at CVS, so that is not it. I have to figure out if the order I hand things over makes a difference.

Thanks for the great ideas and tips! Just checked today's receipt, and definitely Colgate limit is not yet reached! Oh, and the Cottonelle 4 ecb deal is still on my receipt. There are none to be found around here, but if you see any of those big packs, scan them. I bet they are on clearance and still giving ECB. I guess this year they are Valentine Toilet Paper!

In case you need another colgate coupon, the new ALL YOU magazine has $1.50 off colgate advanced in it. I am so glad I checked this thread b/c I did not think I would get to use it for awhile but now I have to go get one more money making toothpaste. It is the only thing we get from CVS that I will only buy if it is a money maker. I have way too much toothpaste around here.

I noticed the amount that gets taken off your total with ecb's is not taxed but the amount taken off the total with a manu. coupon is taxed if it is a taxed item in MD. Hope this makes sense.

Everyone gets different ones, you will only get so many per day (see 4fosterkids reply below)

This is what I do, keep scanning until it says no coupons today. Haven't seen a store with 2 scanners, but that's a cool trick!

Also, if the machine is out of paper, if you scan your card, sometimes the CRTs will print at the register.

Maggie is right, it will scan for any purchase. Our stores include the CVS exclusive items too like 24/7, Skin Effects, Playskool, etc.

The razor should be on sale for $7.99 and give a $4 ECB. It's free-after-ECB-and-coupon if you have the $4 coupon.

The tax thing is crazy and the order does matter. Some people say the trick is to save at least one mfg. coupon to be scanned last so it eats into the tax amount, but that can cause problems - sometimes it will reject the coupon. Sometimes you can use ECBs first and mfg. last and a mfg. can be rejected, but your total can be less than it would've if you gave the coupons first.

ECBs will also reduce the tax amount, I had it happen yesterday: I earned a $5.98 ECB on 2 Colgates on a prior trip. I bought 2 Neutrogena soaps, the total was $5.98 + tax. I used the ECB from the Colgate to pay and my total due was $0.00. If I'd used a lower amount ECB, I would've had to pay tax.

Walgreens is the opposite, nothing cuts into tax, I can get my totals down to near zero and have to pay tax on the original prices, before coupons.

Price check it and make sure it rings up $7.99 (then you know you have the right one). It will give you back a $4 ECB. Combine that with the $4 coupon and it is free!

Thank you for the answer, LanaJae and 4fosterkids!

I got the last 2 Mylantas today, one at each different store.

I also maxed out on the Colgate today too.

& Mouthwash....... We're overrun... DH says I need to stop bring home "stuff we don't need".... But they PAY me to take it!

I think walgreens RR counts more like a mfc - so it is taxed and cvs ecb's are like cash - so not taxed.

Thanks for the answers, LanaJae & puffkin....looks like another trip tomorrow :thumbsup2

I also need to look for this scanner you all are talking about. I'm apparently not that observant because I have never seen this. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled! :magnify:

Oh yeah, I printed out my CRTs today and I got the same as yesterday. $1 off CVS vitamins and $2 off $10 of any CVS brand.

Went out in a snowstorm and got this stuff:

-1 Coke, 2 Cherry Coke, 2 Fanta Orange, 2 Sprite for $21, used $1 Coke mfg., earned $10 ($10)
-2 Colgate for $5.98, used 2 $1.50 mfg., earned $5.98 (-$3)
-4 Gold Emblem Cheese Crackers for $7.88 (this is a good one to use the $2/10 CVS CRT because ECBs are still printing), used $2/10 CRT (meant to get 5 boxes to get close to $10, oops), earned $4 ($1.88)
-2 HIP eye shadows for $7.99 (BOGO sale), used 2 $2 mfgs. and a $2 CRT for any cosmetic ($1.99)
-2 Stayfree for $6.98, used BOGO mfg. and $2 CRT, earned $4 (-$2.51)

Coupon overage paid for the 4 boxes of crackers and the balance on eye shadows, plus some of the soda. Paid with ECBs because I had overage from the Neutrogena and previous Colgate, so I didn't lose any ECBs (also did the Coke deal on my husband's card on Sunday).

For some reason, the Coke/Tylenol amount to get $10 ECB was decreased to $19.49 (from $20).
