Here is what I've decided to do for my closest family/friends for Christmas and they all LOVE the idea.

I wanted to do a really huge, nice basket for each person with all the stuff I've been buying, but figured, why not let them pick the stuff out themselves? So I picked a date and am having my "basket making" party.

Each person invited (mom, sister, sister's fiance, and a couple close friends) will be given "Kimya dollars" (which will probably bear a striking resemblance to Monopoly money :lmao: ) to "spend".

I am going to set up my entire stash throughout the dining room, sorted, and "priced". Each person will have their set amount of "Kimya dollars" to spend in the "store". It ranges from toiletries, candles, cleaning supplies, non-perishable foods, etc. Almost anything you can think of! Everyone will draw numbers and that is the order in which they can "shop". They'll take turns buying items until their money is gone. They can spend as much money or as little money as they want in each turn, but can only buy 1 item at a time.

Everyone is so excited because they will be getting lots of things they will be able to use instead of things that might not get used or that they don't need. Plus, they can't wait to actually see my entire stash laid out in one place at one time! :rotfl2:

LOVE that idea Kimya!!! Its sort of like shopping at the school store with money earned for good behavior/grades. Love it!

So..hmmmm...how much are you pricing toothpaste? They don't make a monopoly 50 cents! :rotfl2: :lmao:

LOL, it's funny that you say that because I was just thinking about that the other day! I'm thinking I'm going to have to price them 2/$1 and they have to buy 2 at one time. :lmao:

On my trip to get the Dove Revitalizer today I got lots of CRTs. One was a 5/30 exclussively at CVS.com. Is this the 5/30 you guys have been using in the stores? I did not know if it was just for online orders.

Anyone get in on the Tylenol deal??

I still have 2 $5 off coupons that would help...............thanks

I did it, I was buying 2 Children's Motrin and 1 Children's Tylenol and had 2 $5 coupons. Wouldn't take one of my $5 because the register only recognizes the coupon for Tylenol products only (a manager would've over-rode it but I have had enough hassles at this particular store).

I use that one at the store and no one has questioned it - I think I've gotten 2 of them in the past month.

Did it beep when you used it. I hate to hear the dreaded BEEP.

Thank you. I will be using it this week.

Oh another question. Since this is a CRT can you use a 4/20 or a 2/10 with it?

I've done it - I try to only use one computer-printed CVS coupon at a time, but I have gotten away with using a $4/20 CRT, a $5/30 CRT and a $2/10 printed (on a purchase that was about $35 to begin with). It depends on the clerk.

I got chewed out last week for handing coupons in a certain order (duh!), but yesterday another clerk grabbed all mine out of my hand and used the CRT $4/20 last (when total was $11-something) and it went through without beeping and she said that shouldn't have worked.

I'm getting tired of the coupon police.

I LOVE IT!!!! :rotfl2: You should add in a couple of mystery boxes  and tag a couple items so only you know they are special "prize" items where the recipient gets a bonus!

Hmm..not sure what the tylenol mystery is. I used both mine on motrin products: one chewable and one reg 100ct. It took the first one and beeped on the second one. The cashier set it aside and when he got done he went back and read it carefully and forced it thru.

So if both were motrin products, why would it recognize one and not the other?

Thanks for the heads up for the online coupon. I've always thought about using them, afterall they have a barcode. But I figured it would beep and the cashiers would take a closer look and tell me "no-no".

So...I'm not the only one limiting myself to one CVS email coupon per visit! I keep thinking how riduculous I'd feel to walk in with a stack of paper to pay for everything. Like I just printed my own money.

Our extracare rewards link to the december coupon is gone. So sad. Oh well..as long as they keep sending them to someone at HCW, I manage to get my hot little hands on them.

If you had two Motrins here (Minnesota), they would both beep - if you have one Tylenol and one Motrin here, one goes through and the other says "coupon limit exceeded" - other people have used two without any beeping though, so each region must be set up different. I tried using just one on Benadryl alone and it beeped. I have enough Tylenol to wipe out a city full of livers :rotfl2:

This is how bad it's gotten at one store with the coupon police - my 7 yr. old had an ear infection yesterday and our clinic was booked solid. All I could think of was TG my husband had Veteran's Day off so he could talke her to CVS to the Minute Clinic because I was there for an hour the day before and I have to go back today for Shrek III.

I only use one CVS email coupon per visit. And I try to alternate stores so I don't get blacklisted. One of the managers at the main store I go to always looks at me like I am a thief - but he never says anything.
