CVS CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 11/11-11/17

OMG!!!! If you are a buzz agent there is a new buzz campaign for a CVS photo book! CVS & Buzz campaign in the same venue :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Hopefully this will get me another free Christmas present for the upcoming holidays! :cool1:

Thanks Lana-I went to CVS.com and the one we would be going by is only open until 10:00. Hmmmm...what to do now? Leave earlier to stop on the way down or leave early to stop on the way back? Or both! :rotfl:

You know everyone here would say both!

Actually, I'm kind of worried about black friday. I'm not sure which CVS I'll go to b/c my regular one is 45min from home (by work) and I plan to do all my shopping in a town the opposite direction so I'll have to pick another one. Wonder if I should scope out the layout on Wednesday...if for no other reason than to figure out where the camera I want will be!

Is CVS having a Black Friday sale??? How did I not know this!!!! Do you have a link to their sales?Thank you.

I'm so bummed as I didn't get one! But congrats to all that did! I was going to make one of these for a christmas gift too (and pay real money, which I guess I will still do).

There was a $1.50 Hershey's printable coupon in an e-mail I just got from CVS.

I did 2 deals today:

Transaction #1

Garnier Nutrioniste Cleanser 5.99
Garnier Nutrioniste Cleanser 5.99
-$1 Garnier coupon
-$1 Garnier coupon
-$6 ECB
-$2 ECB
Subtotal = $1.98
IL 7.5% tax .37
Total $2.35 and paid with my gift card

Got $10 ECB (and $5 off Dove Skin Vitalizer, but my store was out!!!)

Transaction #2

Tylenol Rapid Release 24ct. $5.49
Tylenol Rapid Release 24ct. $5.49
CVS 2 pk bar soap $1.99
Palmolive Dish Soap $1.49
-.40 coupon from Palmolive
-$5 Tylenol coupon
-$5 Tylenol coupon
-$2.50 CRT on pain relief
-$1 ECB
Subtotal .56
IL 1.25% tax .14
Total .70 and paid with my gift card

I got back $1 ECB for Palmolive and $1 ECB from CVS soap. Plus I have $10.98 towards the Tylenol deal.

The cashier scrutinized my Tylenol coupons. He asked, "Are these from the internet??" I couldn't tell if he was interest so he could print them, or because he thought I made them or what???? But they scanned fine and no beeps. He only scrutinized them after they scanned and he saw they were worth $5 each!

On a side note, I printed 2 Tylenol coupons at home and them printed fine with numbers under the screwy-bar code thing. But then I printed 2 at work and they didn't print numbers on the bar code thing. Will those 2 work? It says something like "Do not accept without a dot scan barcode below the expiration date." And I can't decide if they just mean that screwy looking UPC thing or the numbers under that???

Maggie

What is the link for the Tylenol coupons? For some reason I did not do those. Don't ask me why but I have seen everbody talking about them. Can you help?:)

Thanks so much.

I have to tell you guys a little story. Ususally my DH does not go into CVS with me. He just sits in the car and wants to know what I got for free when I come back. A few days ago he went in with me and as we were walking out the door he said, "Are we gonna get busted for getting all this stuff for free?"  Evidently it is alright for me to do this 3 or 4 times a week but the one time he goes in he feels guilty. I told him he would not make a good CVSer.

Does anyone know if it is permissible to use a $5.00 ECB, a $10.00 ECB & a dollars off coupon ($4/$20, $5/30, etc.) in a single transaction, or would have I have to execute two transactions in order to use all of those discounts?

It can vary by store but all of the stores (with the exception of 1) in my area let me use the $ off coupon and as many ECB's as I want as long as it does not go over the transaction total. I have not tried to do the multiple $ off coupons in 1 transaction here - ie: using both a $5/$30 & a $4/$20 in 1 transaction.

My store limits to one CVS coupon (they count $/$$ and ECB as CVS coupons) and one manufacturer's coupon PER ITEM. They also will only take one $/$$ coupon per transaction.

I have never tried to do more than one $4/20 or whatever type coupon in a transaction. I don't want to push it so I just break up into multiple transactions instead. I was told that you could give as many ECB's as long as you had an item for each one used and couldn't go into a negative balance. so if I wanted to use 2 ECB's then I could as long as I had 2 items and etc. I also am allowed to use my MFR and store coupons all in the same transaction.

I am so lucky to have such great cashiers and managers. Honestly they are great and never give me any grief about my deals. A couple of them always brag to other costumers about me and one calls me the coupon queen. Hardly but I do get lots of great deals and usually walk out with lots of stuff cheaply. On Sunday I had a 4 pack of Fusion blades and 2 cases of soft drinks. After my coupons and ECB's I had a total of $13.xx and she was shocked that it was still so expensive. LOL! She said usually you walk out with less than $5 spent. I really prefer to keep rolling my ECB's each week so I could have got it down to $3.xx but I wanted to save my $10 one for next week's deal. I am upset I didn't wait to buy his blades now with next week's deal on gilette. Darn. I will still get 2 packs with coupons and ECB for $10 oop so not shabby for 2 packs of blades that cost $13 each. I did get 21 bottles of Dawn for $2.48 out of pocket plus my $10 shrek DVD coupon which I got today.

AWESOME TRIP! I didn't know about that printable $5 off $25

Thanks for the replies ladies; I woiuldn't even try to use two 'dollars off' coupons in a single transaction; I was merely wondering if a $5.00 ECB and a $10.00 EB can be used simultaneously with one of those 'dollars off' coupons', as if I were handing the cashier a $5.00 bill and a $10.00 bill and the 'dollars off' coupon at the same time?

The answer would appear to be yes, based on your responses.

If it does take two transactions to use all of 'em, that's no big deal either when you tabulate all of the $$$ you save.

I can never get over why neither Longs, Walgreens or Rite-Aid hasn't initiated a 'customer loyalty' program like this one!!!

That's so cute!! Mine thinks he's going to have to bail me out of jail every time I go. I've started sending him with a list now and then, especially if it's food items, then he comes home proud of himself. He was really good about the $3 off $10 Gold Emblem stuff this week because he knows I won't buy him snacks (he's supposed to limit that kind of stuff). After the first transaction, buying only sale items and using the $3 off $10 and a $2.50 off $10 on CVS, he started also getting $2 Divine cookie CRT coupons, so that made it $2.50 OOP for each trip, as long as there was a pack of cookies in the deal - he's loving the lemon with white chocolate chips.

We've heard stories about some stores only allowing one ECB per transaction, but that doesn't happen to me in Minnesota. Usually you should try to have at least the same amount of items as ECBs - for example, say, you bought a single $20 item and you used a $10 ECB and a $5 ECB. The register would beep on the $5 ECB. One of my stores gets around that by ringing up a card that reads 1 cent. It's often easier just to throw a candy bar in there so you don't have to deal with having someone confused at the register.
