Cutting it too close for magical express?

If it were me, I would Uber to CBR, check your bag, and then Uber to HDDR. If you tell your first Uber driver what you are doing, he or she may be willing to wait for you since bell services is near the drop off point anyhow. I have had them do that before - they are able to immediately pick up my second ride request. I think this option would give you the most flexibility in terms of time.
even if doing this UBER can only drop off at front of campground and would have to take internal bus to Hoop. only Minnie Vans can frop off near Hoop

I'm thinking about changing what night I do HDDR, but of course I'd have to rearrange all of my plans, then, and I was looking forward to something fun and Disney-y right when I got there.
Hoop De Doo would be a fun start to your vacation, but clock watching, worrying about possible flight delays and rushing to get to Fort Wilderness sounds stressful. Some other activities to consider are the Chip and Dale Campfire at the Fort, YeeHaw Bob at Port Orleans, , watch the fireworks from outside the MK (TTC, Poly, Contemporary, GF), check out the Boardwalk, or Disney Springs.

Definitely don't want to throw money away; I'll probably end up changing it.
Hoop De Doo is a fully prepaid event and if you miss it, there is no refund.

Yes but I think it would still be faster than waiting for the MK bus, driving to MK, then waiting for the boat, and boating to FW.

I think the poster you quoted was suggesting using a Minnie Van vs a regular Lyft or Uber. I believe a Minnie Van can drop off directly at Pioneer Hall.

Yes, that's true, but Minnie Van would be pricier than Uber. I guess Minnie Van would be the most expensive but fastest, Disney transportation would be free but the slowest, and Uber is somewhere in the middle. So the OP has some options! lol!

the internal bus can take as much as 20 minutes not counting waiting for the bus from one end of campground to other depending on how many loop stops it has to make and there is no way to predict that and it would be a mile walk if they would decide to try that. and yes I am a campground person who uses the buses a lot

The OP is staying at CBR, which has multiple bus stops. Once the MK bus arrives and you board, you may have another 10-15 minutes of them circling the remaining (potentially) 6 bus stops, loading/unloading ECVs, etc. They would then have to walk from the MK bus stop to the boat, wait for the boat and hope there's no line where they can fit on the next one, and boat to FW. Even if OP had to wait for the internal bus at FW and go through the stops there, I would still say Ubering there and dealing with that would be faster. The difference might not be significant, so it would really be up to OP to decide which they'd rather hassle with.

Jumping in on this thread with a similar question. We are a party of 7 flying into MCO at 5 PM this Thursday. We have a ADR at Homecomin’ at Disney Springs for 8:15. Will this be enough time to catch a bus, get to our room at Coronado, quickly change then head to Disney Springs? We have already done online check-in. I know DME can sometimes leave guests waiting at the airport, so I’m trying to decide best option.

Our other option would be to Uber straight to the resort. Six of us will have carry on only, and one person will have a checked bag. If we take DME, we will use the luggage tag to have that delivered to the room. Can we still send his suitcase on DME if we don’t ride, so we don’t waste time waiting at the luggage carousel?

Want to cancel your Hoop De Doo Revue reservation and when you get to Disney, go to Fort Wilderness and try to stand by for the show?

You should be able to get the yellow tagged bag to the resort. They pull the yellow tagged bags and send it to the resorts. They don't wait for you to check into DME before loading the yellow tagged bags. Once we rented a car and our bags still made it to the resort, unless their policy has changed, but if you ask DME, they will say you have to ride for the bags to be sent to the resport.
