I think these would make a cute stocking stuffer for kids that wear boots. I've seen them work on cowboy boots too!

I think I'm going to order some. Shipping is reasonable too!

These are so hot right now in our schools...the kids LOVE them! Its nice too when shipping charges aren't through the roof!

Cute, perfect also to tell kids boots apart. Mine are forever putting on others boots.

Those are sooo cute! I just bought DD a pair of black boots tonight. I think she needs the peace sign ones and the pink puppy ones. Thanks for sharing!

This may be a stupid question but do you get a pair of them for that price or do you need to buy two?? I think they are cute, too.

Am I the only one who thinks this website looks a little sketchy? No "about us" link. No contact info. Only takes Paypal. A Whois lookup reveals that it was just created on 9/24/11. The items appear to be homemade.

It wasn't too long ago that there were posts about a website with super-cute ribbon hair clips that looked like various Disney characters. There were a lot of people who ordered the clips and got nothing. The owner of the website gave every excuse in the book for non-delivery.

I'm not saying that this is or will be the same case. But please be very wary about where you spend your money online. As cute as these look and as much as my niece would love these, I'm going to pass on them. Maybe I'll see them at a local craft show this fall.

Good point! Once I thought about it some more, I thought I could probably make something similar for a lot less. I may give it a try this weekend. And there is a big craft show in my town next weekend. That would be a great place to look, too. :thumbsup2

The ladies who created the company are from Pittsburgh. I read about them in our local magazine after kids started wearing them in school. Its 2 moms who started it. They are expanding into stores & trying to get their name out there. I actually would rather the things that I buy not be from China and support a new business. I'm glad you posted that though so people who do have info can actually let others know the scoop! Maybe someone can post when they receive theirs! I don't have my packaging anymore but it was very professional & for the price I'd rather just buy some.

Oh and when I got mine they came separate.

I am thinking I could make some for my daughter as well...does anybody know or have a picture of how they clip onto the boot?

I didn't think it was sketchy at all. There was a "Contact Us" email on their page which I used before I ordered and received a quick response to. I live south of Pittsburgh and saw them in a local paper as well so I wasn't concerned. I'll post back later today. I ordered Monday morning and received my email with my tracking number Monday afternoon so I'm thinking since they are in the same region as me I should have today at the latest.

These are super cute and will be getting a few for my daughter. I love that they take PayPal because in the event it is a scam(which I don't think they are) my funds are protected.

I've watched the progress on this thread and admit to skepticism with some of the similar dis-names responding, low post counts and 2 PA posters (1 being OP). I thought maybe it was her own business or that of a friend or family member. Can't say exactly what, but something seems off. My apologies if that is off base. These are a cute idea for kids.

OP here, I just came back to post pictures once I found out how to get them off of my phone and on to photobucket.

Some of the comments here are reasons why I rarely post here. I understand there are lots of people that get scammed but not every post is one of them. When I see things that are questionable, I keep on moving and I don't question the intent of every poster.

This was just something that I saw locally and thought that others may be interested too because I thought they were cute and I thought I would promote a local business instead of a big box company.

There is also a thread about Trader Joe's here because there is a new one opening up locally next week. Do you know how many people from southwestern PA/Pittsburgh have commented on that thread and guess what I did too because I'm looking forward to it opening and as it turns out several of us live within a few mile radius of the Trader Joe's and we don't even know each other! There are alot of people on the Disboards from the SW PA area because there are a lot of Disney fans around there.

Enough of the rant. Here are the pictures that I came to post.

I ordered Monday and received a delivery confirmation number Monday as well. My order arrived in today's mail.

I was also going to add for those of you from the area that I was at South Hills Village earlier today and they are selling these at the Hallmark store there. I should have checked the price but I didn't....I will if I go back there soon.

Don't worry, I won't post any cute gift ideas here anymore. I wouldn't want anyone thinking there is a conspiracy going on.

....and no, this isn't my business. I forgot to address that. I already have one full-time job and that is plenty for me.

I don't know, there is an "About us" page. Email them if you're unsure! They look really cute!

*Now* there is an "About Us" link. The page has been updated since I posted.

The email is a G-mail account. Most legitimate businesses do not use hotmail, gmail, aol or yahoo mail accounts.

There is no contact phone number or business address. I was able dig both up by doing some googling but won't post either as they appear to be a personal phone number and a private residence.

I think the boot accents are cute. I wish the entrepreneurs well and hope that their business model includes plans for the next possible trend. I'm still wary because of the previously mentioned hair clip fiasco. That crafter also filled orders promptly at first but quickly became overwhelmed by the orders. It's one thing to handcraft enough product to satisfy the demands of your local schools. It's another to go national with your product and keep up with your orders.

I don't normally comment on these type of things but for some reason it just rubbed me the wrong way that these people are being questioned on the legitimacy of there site and product because someone else did some people wrong. If you dont feel like the site it ok to order from then don't order and move on. There really isn't a need to call out the other posters and cast a bad light on the business. How would you like it if it was your business possibly loosing sales because of some other bad seed?

I wouldn't be spamming a website to promote my business.

This is a discussion board. I'm simply discussing what has happened here in the past and pointing out the warning signs that could have prevented some people from being scammed.
