Saw this on one of the email news things that i subscribe to.. and wanted to share...
XXXXXX. (NYSE: KIDS-R-US) is please to
announce version 3.0 of their highly successful "baby"
project. Seventeen months after the successful launch
of Baby 2.0 (aka "baby Zoe"), and Nine months in alpha
testing, project "Keira" was released to the public
April 21st at 08:36 pm, two days ahead of the
anticipated deadline.
This is the third product in their joint venture.
Terms of the merger were not disclosed, but it has
been described as highly "fertile".
Product specifications:
Name: Keira
Official Roll Out: April 21st, 2004 8:36 p.m.
Weight: 8 lbs, 14 oz.
Length: 21 inches
Fuel: Lactose and associated hydrocarbon-based
nutrients
Status: Shakeout complete. All systems appear
operational despite
occasional sudden bursts of unprovoked sonic
resonance.
Software: Huggies #1
This project went much faster than expected, and was
the smoothest rollout yet said Alex , CEO.
We were able to leverage many years of practice, as
well as two previous product launches, which allowed
both parties to cut down the pre-alpha stage by
several months.
Mr. XXX describes Project Manager Deann s
role as truly heroic. We couldn't have done this
without her. She was there every step of the way; she
worked many evenings and weekends to bring this one in
on time and under budget.
Company spokeswoman, and Keira project manager Deann
explained the many enhanced design features
including:
Attractive little interface
Compact design
Compatible with all laptops
Expanded memory capability
WYSIWYG (What You Smell is What You Get).
The prototype will be on display at XXXXXX Road in
suburban XXXXXXXX, along with previous product
versions. Lauren and Zoe. Lauren and Zoe are two
of the most popular bipeds on the playground, and have
had numerous upgrades and enhancements since launch.
A high-ranking Co official who spoke on the condition of anonymity laid out a timetable for future upgrades for Keira, including an enhancement to the ambulatory mobility for Q2 2005, speech recognition and synthesis package for Q3 2005, and a Flush Right feature for sometime in 2006. All are expected to come in on time, and under budget thanks to years of experience with the previous two products.
XXXXCo creates the most powerful, highest-quality
bipeds for solving the world's most challenging Tinker
toy and Lego problems.
Pictures coming soon.......
