AuburnJen's DH here...

I took a close-up digital picture of one of the garbage cans at the Settlement Outpost- it's one of the few places left with a nice, big, detailed picture of the Mickey with Musket logo. Then, I imported that into CorelDraw and made a vectorized version of the character. (That took about a week's worth of work to get looking right.) Then I separated out all the different colors and ran them through our vinyl cutter (an old IOLINE signmaking plotter/cutter). It took another several hours to get the pieces put back together, and then the whole thing put on the golf cart. (We have another, larger version of the same logo on the front of our RV- we'll post some more pictures of both when we get to the Fort on Saturday.)

It was a fun little project, and I learned a lot about both CorelDraw and our cutter. I'm not a graphic designer or anything- I was just working with what I had and using good ol' trial-and-error. I think it turned out pretty well. :)

Thanks, sounds like you enjoyed doing it. That's a great idea with the vinyl cutter, never even thought about that. If and when we ever get a golf cart I might have to copy your technique!

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of it on the RV!

Yes I was there!!! And yes I'm sure that was me LOL!!! I usually drive my motorhome in the parking lot off load it with the trailer, go set up the motorhome and walk back to the parking lot to get the cart. Well when you see me yell I will take you for a ride!!! I love climbing the hill to the right when you enter the campgrond LOL!!!

Neat! We keep our trailer for the cart up there and we were going to check on it. Man your cart is sweet! I'll shout and holler next time :goodvibes

The little metal Mickey decals ... where on earth did you get those? I've seen two different carts ...and my dad would kill for one.

My DH made all the decals for our cart, too. He bought this "Testors" brand kit from the local hobby shop and just practiced on regular paper on the computer until he got the photos right. We have large decals of Kermit, Piggy, Sam the Eagle, Jim Henson and the entire Muppet cast on the cart. After applying the decals, he clear-coated the entire cart.

With all the bootleg stuff out there, I doubt you'd be caught.
The worst is, they'd tell you to stop. Tell them you needed to sell them in order to afford the $12.00 Miller Lite 6 packs in the trading post.

We once tried to order shirts with some text and graphics on it, and we sent them a picture of Mickey. Needless to say they cancelled our order mighty quick...lol
