Currently waiting for DME

So, my flight was delayed 4 hours getting me into orlando at midnight. I have now been sitting on a DME bus for 30 minutes after standing in line for 15. Is this normal for late night flights? After already being frustrated with such a long flight delay, sitting on the MDE bus at 12:45 am is not starting my trip off well. Anyone else have this experience?

Not unusual at all. Even during the day time hours. Usually, the buses function best during the heaviest crowds. It's when the need dies down that things slow down. Yes, you need the bus. But, in all reality, the bus isn't going to just pull up as soon as you get in line, and then sit for 5 mins, and then drive just you to your resort. A bus can be expected to sit and wait for 25 mins during the day...unless it fills up immediately.
Some people have posted very short wait times late at night, but the majority seem to have a longer wait.

My one late night experience was similar. It is why I now won't use DME after 10 pm. If I have to go get my own bags anyway, I don't want to end up waiting on a bus for a long time, and then sit through multiple resort stops.
