Hi,

I just bought a Maclaren Sport Quest stroller for my son today. After looking around and testing things out, I think it's the best for what I need in a lightweight stroller - not only for Disney, but for everyday use. The one thing it doesn't have is a cup holder for my son.

I looked online and the only thing I see is an organizer for Maclaren that hangs on the back of the stoller with 2 places for water bottles and a mesh pouch for other things. Does anyone know if there's just a simple cup holder I can place on the side of the stroller for my sons sippy cup that he can easily reach and won't get in the way of the stroller folding????

Also, with all the threads on strollers lately especially since the rental increase, I think it would be a good idea to have some kind of theft deterrent.
Someone recommended putting a small padlock on a front wheel which would make the stroller useless to a thief, but still easy enough for a CM to move if they have to.

When looking at the wheels on the Maclaraen, I can't seem to see anywhere to put a lock or deterrent. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I being too concerned about stroller theft? I know it doesn't happen much at Disney, but still...Maclaraens aren't cheap.

Thanks for youre help.

As for a cupholder I have two valco baby universal cup holders on my mac and they are great. IMO I don't think stroller theft is a big thing in disney but you probably have more to worry about w/ whats in your stroller. I will say when we were there in Feb we attended the PPP and right before it started we were waiting behind the dumbo ride for ariel to come out and my mom took my dd to the restroom well she left her purse hanging on the door while she was helping my dd in her costume well she walked out and left her purse there. When she remembered and went back it was gone she was upset and ready to cancell all of her cc's but it still had her park tickets and glowing tink clipped on. I figured whoever picked it up wasnt' going to bring it right up to guest services so I told her don't cancel her cards we knew the general time frame of when she lost it if she did get back she would be stuck w/ nothing and it was the beginning of our trip. Well at the end of the night we stopped at guest services and sure enough someone turned it in w/ everything in and her light up tink still clipped on.

I bought this off of ebay recently...we used it at WDW and were very satisfied. It is fabric (vinyl, mesh???) so it will just conform to however you fold the stroller. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the cup holder info. I will look into both. It will just be much easier for my son to have his drink handy when he wants it.

It's nice to hear there are still honest people around - Maybe I'll just get some kind of big tag or other identification item to pick my stroller out easily. I plan to bring a diaper bag (found one that fits nicely in the Maclaren basket) and a small backpak. The diaper bag I can leave in the stroller as is will only have diapers, snacks, wipes - that kind of stuff. Valuables will be kept in my small backpack. I got this kipling backpack quite a few years ago and only use on vacations - it's the perfect size to fit all the valuable necessities and nice and compact. It easily slips off my back and goes right between the legs on any ride.

Thanks again for the info.

I have a Mclaren and also the mesh bag/cup holder. The mesh bag is great but the cup holders are useless unless it's for a water bottle or other drink that has a screw top. You can't put a cup of coffee with lid or a drink with a plastic lid and straw. Everything spills out.

I have used the hard, plastic cup holders that screw on to the handle of the stroller. They have been the best for me so far. Just be sure to take it off before you leave it on the jetway when flying. I have lost a few that way!

Aside from the ones already mentioned, I've also seen the Carry You products recommended here, and the Buggy Buddy here.

I recommend staying away from the Prince Lionheart Click 'n go system (I had one, it broke). And, I also had a soft-sided one made by J.L. Childress called "cup 'n stuff" that wouldn't stay upright when on the umbrella stroller.

hth!

One thing that I really like about the valco is it fits all sizes of cups and securely it also has an opening so that when you put your disney mug in it the handle slides in so the mug fits all the way in.

Thanks Cancer_survivor_06 - that's good to know about the Diney Cup as this year we're going for the Delxue DP and will have resort mugs. I don't plan on carrying all to the park, but if we can fit one on teh stroller that will be helpful.
