CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

I am so very glad that you were specific about what exactly you were reaching for in your pocket. :rotfl:

Sounds like a nice morning at the pool, if not afternoon.

Thanks for the shout out, but I pretty much said what you did about the luau, I just included lots of pictures of the male dancers (check 'em out ladies-they were the bright spot). We will also be saving our show credits for the Hoop. The food's way better, and so is the entertainment. I just wish it wasn't in the middle of no where! That's the same reason I can't bring myself to stay or make ADRs for AKL. That and the fact that I don't really like animals that much. :lmao:

Sunday afternoons at Ponderosa weren't for tea drinkers, they were for unhappy church going families. Most of them must have left my tip money in the collection plate. It was a consistently awful tip day. :confused3

I looked over,,, and,,, YES,,, she is, she's bending back the page to the Crosswords, oh, I hope they are hard today.

Oh, they were hard allright:
"Steve, Ballplayer Henry's brother, 5 letters."

"Tommy"

And it didn't stop.
hey, I only ask you the sports questions.and I can't believe you remembered the actual question. wasn't the "henry" hank aaron, and otmmy was his brother?

This is usually around 1:30 for those interested .

We were kind of out of the limelight I thought from the YJs, but they had a trick up there sleeve.

For the last 2 hours, a cast member was manning a podium behind us, right in front of the bird overlook, outback, outlook, over and out. Look, I don't know what to call them. They are just there to talk and answer questions. Well, apparently, there is much more than meets the eye with these double agents!

With the Yellow Jackets fired up near the pool, the cast member who usually gives animal and bird info is now rounding up kids to play games on the concrete, and
"Don't mind the stupid looking guy trying to read, we'll go UNDER his lounger if we have to."

now who sees the discrepency here? or rahter, hears it? tee hee

click on the above, pretty sure that's a chance to hear the Sultry 99 speak again.

And if you click on the picture below, I don't do anything but sit there,
"just like always" I'm sure she would leap to add.

no wonder you get a sore neck and back every trip "Press "A" twice to make the screen go blank, then press "C". When the screen reappears, press "A" again for English. Now press "B" until the minutes appear, release "B" and the minutes will start flashing. While holding in "C", repeatedly press "B" 60 times to advance one hour. But you must time the presses of "B" with the second hand, or it will reset to 12:00 on it's own......

It's brutal, believe me. I have done it on my own winging it before, but it took me an hour to do so, and in the process I accidentally turned on the alarm that kept going off at two in the morning. I didn't care, I couldn't hear it, but,,,,,,
great job explaining it! so funny! one time I managed to reset the watch, but also set the alarm, for 6:17. for about 8 months, at the restaurant the other waitress would say"oops must be 6:17 again!"

. Besides, we have a whole week yet with Todd and Jackson to enjoy the park.

.

boy, are YOU lucky Kimmy doesn't read here!!!! she would be:sad2:

:rotfl: We just got back from 3 weeks in England and Scotland (that's why I was late to this party). While there, I bought a pay-as-you-go phone -- Hey, it's a lot cheaper than paying $1.29/minute on a US phone. So while there, I set the phone alarm to 8am, so we could get up for something, don't remember what.

Now, 8am in Scotland is 1am Pacific time. Yep, you guessed it. Despite the fact that I had turned the phone off, for the first several nights after we were back, while we're trying to get our body clocks back on time, every night at 1 o-freaking-clock in the am, we'd hear a lilting female British voice saying "It is 8 am. It is time to get up. It is 8 am. It is time to get up."

DW almost smashed that phone before I intercepted it and took out the batteries. That d**m thing was supposed to be off!!

Yep, I hear ya, Smidgy.

I'm so jealous you had 3 weeks over there!! We spent 6 days in London and 4 in Paris in April and it wasn't enough time.

the phone going off is funny and reminds me of a toy my kids had that would go off on it's own in the middle of the night.
It may or may not have been smashed with a shoe and tossed out the back door.

It wasn't a Furby, was it?

Just chiming in to say that if Nebo doesn't get to the "trip" part of his trip report soon, I may be forced to entertain the more bloodthirsty of our little community here with a blow-by-blow (puff by puff?) account of my 34 hours in labor (still crystal clear in my memory, despite being over 20 years ago now).

It's not pretty.

But I'll do it if I have to!

Edited to add: Of course I am kidding. I don't wish illness or injury on anyone, especially during a long awaited family vacation.

You look so relaxed in that lounge chair!! I hate to even imagine what happened to you. Poor Diane, whatever it was must have been a heart stopper for her. My son and I just got back from the grocery store and while we were there a woman died--- paramedics did chest compressions for over 7 minutes and kept on doing them when the ambulance pulled away, but I'm sure she was gone before they pulled her off the chair outside the store and got her to the ground. She obviously started out her day feeling fine! She was grocery shopping for crying out loud! Life is fragile, you just never know....

Not to get all serious on everyone, sorry...OK, now back to the regularly scheduled banter!! :)

I finally got to listen to the videos on your last chapter, and, judging from the noise on your balcony, the yellow jackets are really really loud. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it may not be worth it to get a pool view.

Hi folks.
I'm going to try and keep shout outs short for the time being so I can get back to work on the next chapter. Please don't be offended if I short-shrift you, it's just in the name of time and how long I can sit here before my back starts screamin. But always, I read and enjoy each and evry post you give me to read. Sometimes even Ponzi's.

Boy Dawn, sorry you had to go through that, and I know it's no fun to watch either. I remember being scared to death when Henry collapsed in front of me that time running for the but as Epcot at closing time, I thkought he was dead, but it sounds like you got the real deal and yes, I'm glad I didn't get to join that club recently. That would ;have really screwed up the rest of Diane's vacation and I"d never hear the end of it.

At least now you know what I"m complaining about, that's why I talked over the video, so you could have a comparison to the YJ.

I'm back!

And less of Turtle Lady, which by the sounds of it, would have taken those lungers and the table too, just because you were in them.

People truly are amazing to watch sometimes.

“Cause I’m already standing on the ground”

I knew someb ody would crack and fill it in.

There is nothing better than a spontaneous choreographed musical number, especially in Disney.

I agree, my favorite is eight.

I’ve got this mental image now…Don’t know if that’s good or not…

The pictures are worth a thousand words. Especially trying to decipher how long it will take you to either crack or crack up at the situation.

As you can tell by my stupid looking pose, I had no idear she was taking pictures.

LOL…I used to have one of those. While they were great watches, and if I could have one again, I probably would go for it, but by the time I got the darn thing to work properly I would have to reset it again to go back home. That’s why I just use my phone or my Mickey watch, which is just your plain old, typical watch face with a little dial on the side that you pull out to change the time and push back in to keep it there.

I still have one of those too, but I need mine to be waterproof and a twist metal band, cuz my watch never comes off, and the chlorine will eventually kill a leather or plastic band.

Come to think of it. I don’t think I changed it back to NM time when we left CA. Since I haven’t worn it since I didn’t think about it till now. Must do that when I get home.

NM is Mountain time?

Yikes! My only hope is that the room is soundproof once that balcony door is closed!

No, not totally, you can still hear them.

I can honestly say that I feel your pain on this. Had a few bus trips like that on our recent trip. But it was either that, or walk the 3 blocks, which are more like 20 blocks to the park entrance.

Remember the Disney motto, no matter how far aaway something is, it's always,,,, class? "Seven to ten minutes walk."

Keep that up and he’ll really have to come up with something saavy and unanticipated…now is that really something that you want?

I n o saavy.

Whoops, I deleted your line. But the entertainment at Cosmic Rays with Sonny Eclipse is better. And amazingly, he never forgets his lines.

Boy, did that decision come back to haunt me later on.

Great update about nothing. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Now I’m gonna go over to our TR and see what we did on our vacation.[/QUOTE]

Thanks Lady H, tell Mike Ii'll try to call him over the weekend, maybe then we can figure something out.

I'm finding myself rushing through each one of your updates thinking "here we go, this is it ....." :hyper: Only to reach the end and nothing :badpc: Then I make myself go back and read the whole thing again so I can truly appreciate each installment without the overwelming dread of the hammer actually falling hanging over each word! I am glad you seem to have had at least a couple of days of peaceful vacation so far, I guess that's gonna change soon, huh?

:rotfl2:That is by far the funniest use of Smiley's I've seen in a long while, you really had me laughing over here, greatt job, and I can totally understand it. "Get to the damn point for crying out loud".
And of course by now, whatever does happen is going to seem like let down probably, heck, anything less than death will.

I agree with yhou about the animals, they really aren't that special anymore to somebody who's pulling 57 years old.
Smidgy also hated Sundays, at first they were slow, and then they started a 5 dollar buffet,,,, right, try to get nice tips off of those checks.

Oh go ahead, admit it, you got up early to go find Nessie.
Or Scottie.

Ooh, good times. Lamaze, or Gamper method? I was great at shelf breathing, at least for 3 minutes until I passed out.

That sounds like my mother, only it's an apple.

I based my mileage guess on my 2010 Toyota Tundra, which finally gave up the ghost after 10 years and 160K miles. I still miss it. It had an 8 cylinder engine and when you started it up, it went va-VROOOOOOOM!!!!! It felt like you were sitting on a jet engine. Good times, good times.

Then the power steering rack rusted out and we couldn't drive it any more. :drive: :guilty: We traded it in for my DH's Nissan Pathfinder and I recently got a Sentra, which is the creakiest 4-cylinders I've ever driven, but it does get good mileage.

Have we filled enough pages yet for Nebo to give us the next, eagerly awaited chapter?

Still catching up but...

How have you had a 2010 Tundra for 10yrs already?!?!?!?! You're a TIME TRAVELLER!! :rotfl2:

I didn't even try to guess on the Santa Fe mileage. My hubby has a 1992 Toyota truck with 501,300 miles. That's right, half-a-million on the original engine. It's certainly not a record, but we are statistical outliers. :3dglasses

Thanks Lady H, tell Mike Ii'll try to call him over the weekend, maybe then we can figure something out.

Mike...Nebo said he will call you over the weekend to see if you two can figure something out. Oh...You meant for me to...Um...

And yes, NM is Mountain Time.

Oh Cool. Hopefully we can finally figure something out.

Tell Nebo he can call me anytime after 10 am Mountain Time which would be 11 am Central Time. If he can give me a heads up as to a possible time that would be helpful as I'll be working out in the yard. Don't want to miss his call

Oh and also tell him not too call to late either. Unless he plans on calling Saturday night and we're still up having cocktails, then it shouldn't be a problem. Anytime before 11 pm Mountain Time should work. Which would be 12 midnight Central Time.

If he plans on calling Sunday, before 9 pm Mountain Time (10 pm Central Time) would work as well. Work the next day.

Nebo, Mike said...Wait...how did I get stuck as the monkey in the middle? :sad2::p

Remember Hermoine?
This is where you say, "I'M NOT YOUR OWL!

Ok, probably call at 11 mountain time saturday morning, Si?

That's it exactly. I'm Hermione playing the owl between Ron and Harry...I guess technically that would make me Hedwig then...Or Errol...

11am mountain time works for me. I'll carry the message along! :rotfl:

Hey, all of us could share our combat...I mean birth stories, while we wait. I bet that would get things moving.

I bet we'd clear the guys out of the room for a while, anyway!

As for Lamaz or any "technique" that all went out the window as soon as the real labor pains started. The best part of my story goes like this: "You know you've lost all modesty when everyone has cleared out of the room so you can rest - haha- and when the guy comes in to empty the trash you pull up your gown and say, 'Does this look normal to you?' Of course, he claimed he didn't speak Inglays but I think he just didn't want to get sued."

And yes, my lost-lamented Tundra was a 2001, not a 2010. I'd go back and edit but then the PP wouldn't make sense.

Hewwo

Great news!
Well, ok, maybe not great, but good.

Um, yeah, maybe not good, depends on how you look at it, so fair news!
No, not about the Fair, and not about fares.

Let me start over.
