On our last trip, we had dinner at Tony's. The folks at the host stand were wonderful, our server couldn't have been nicer, and my steak was delicious - my sister said her spaghetti and meatballs was great, too. That being said, if I had to choose one, I'd always choose Crystal Palace.
The food is hot, fresh, and creative. The servers are pleasant and efficient, and I've never had a complaint about the service. Seeing Pooh and Piglet and Tigger are so fun! It's just always a specially good time when we eat there - relaxing, bright and cheery. And let me share this - the last time we ate there, my DD and I both chose some tabbouleh from the salad bar, and when we tasted it, we both agreed that the parsely hadn't been rinsed correctly, and was gritty. We didn't make a big deal about it, but I did call it to the attention of our server, and asked him to let the kitchen know. We continued eating, and who comes out of the kitchen but Chef Paul, the head chef, to thank us for letting them know (he tasted that batch and agreed with us about the grit, and tossed it). What a special thing to do, and he could not have been more gracious and charming - it was a very nice moment in our day.
So I'm a CP fan, hands down, although Tony's is good, too (and let me say this about Tony's - I don't know that I would have enjoyed myself as much in the front room - the chairs looked uncomfortable, and with the tile floor, it just seemed very 'clattery' - we were in the back room, which was much nicer, IMHO).
