Cruising in October

For those of you who have cruised in October, what is the weather like? What would you recommend I pack? How are the seas? Any advice would be very helpful.

I have cruised the first week of October and it was very warm and calm. There were no hurricanes though and even if one is far out it could affect the seas. I thought it was just wonderful though.

We cruised Oct 26 this past year and had picture perfect weather!! Not too hot......Just right! 85 to 90 everyday and low humidity...The year before we did the Nov 2nd Wonder and it was perfect also......We have been so lucky!

I just booked our first 7 day on the Magic of October 15th 2005!'

I think it is a great month to go....

This will be our 5th or 6th time cruising the end of Sept and Beginning to Mid October.

We have had only one experience where we met with a Hurricane that changed our itinerary -- went to San Juan and actually enjoyed it.

Just take a little Bonine, a sense of adventure and I'm sure you will be fine. So far have not gotten sick even though we did have some nights where it was a little wavy in the middle of the night.

Well, Plenty of warm weather items. I did bring a couple sweaters to wear with my summer dresses in the evenings. Sometimes the air was cool at night on the ship. Just in case a cold front would push through you may want to throw in one sweatshirt too.

I always bring atleast 3 swimsuits so that I never have to put a wet one on. Lot's of sandals!!!

I would say daytime is pleasantly warm all the time,but nights could get cool......

Thanks for the info BABYJOISE98. It has given me a big idea of what to pack. It will make my packing a lot easier now that I have an idea.
