Sorry to miss cruise chat.... again! We were running so late getting home, it was about 10:30 by the time we got settled in and I remembered it. I did get the ichat thing downloaded so I'd be all set too.

I popped into chat this afternoon after I posted, but I was the only one there!

Will definitely try for the 10 a.m. Sat. chat next week.

Just got home, laundry needs switched, dog needs out...

Ya'll really don't read all the posts, huh? Cathy and Art have gone to a Woodworking show. (I think) Cathy was saying that she hoped it wouldn't turn out to be too expensive.

Again, I am writing this from work. My baby boy on the Vent is off now and still NPO so he is hungry and telling me about it. Now that his tube is out he is LOUD about it. Sometimes ETT are good for the nurse. Don't get mad...I am just kidding. He is doing great! I am really proud of him. My other little one is still in her isolette and eating like a little piggy.

I am so looking forward to seeing everyone again. I hope Mike and I get to the Raddisson in time to swim this time. That pool looked so inviting.

Missed the sailing of the magic yesterday. On Cruisetoberfest I we were escorted out of the port by a small zodiac boat. On the Cruisears cruise we were escorted out by a helicopter. It will be interesting to see what the coast guard uses next.

Hope the Elaine(Eshannon)is still doing well with her school work and how is our de-cluttering queen(Nancy in Pa)doing? Mike

Hi Gang!! I need to vent! I am so mad I could spit nails! I spent last Monday night having the taxes done at H&R Block,the same place I have had them done for the past 3 years! I waited for 2 hours, then was finally called. TODAY, 6 DAYS LATER..they called to say I had not paid for the service! I pulled out my tax info and there was my recipt showing I had paid. Because of this my taxes, that I THOUGHT were filed 6 days ago have NOT BEEN!!!They said sorry, it was their fault, but had NO explanation of WHY it took 6 DAYS to pick up the darn phone to call me!!!
They said we will "rush it through" whatever that means!!!
I think I will pay a visit to the H&R Block web site!!!!

Mary you can get tax software that is put out by HR Block and do your own taxes on your home computer. I have been using turbo tax for the last ten years and filing mine by mail and for the last 4 years by electronically filing them. When I e-file I get my return direct deposited into my check account in about two weeks. The only cost is to get the new program every year which is updated with the latest tax law changes and a little time and typing on my part. Turbo tax is put out by intuit here is a link

Mary, I'd be plenty mad too! Seems like they should have called the next day if there was a question as to whether you'd payed or not.

We e-filed on Friday through the IRS website. It was pretty easy, even with itemizing. They really walk you through. It was free to file the federal and then $7.95 to file the state at the same time. They asked some questions pertinent to our state taxes and we were done. With direct deposit of the refunds, we should have our money pretty fast!

We're pretty sure we're staying at the Resort on Cocoa Beach for probably two nights before the cruise. For $130/night, we get two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sounds like a good deal to us, since we'd want two rooms if we stayed at the Radisson. We're not concerned about cruise parking because we'll have a rental and turn it in before we leave. Looks like a nice place and it's rated 3 diamonds in the AAA book.

Just got off the phone with Rellingtwin. Hilton Head in 5 days!
My Girl's Night was a LOT of fun! We watched 3 movies, did our nails and ate pizza anc chicken wings. For dessert I bought 3 different kinds of Ben&Jerry's ice cream, waffle bowls, whip cream and chocolate fudge sauce. It was yummy!
Now I have two questions.
1) How can you tell the # of each post? ie, how did Tulirose know she got the 1500 post?
2) How the heck do you get into the %*&#*%$#@# chat room?

Well, time for me to sit down with our taxes. Hope I have some hair left by dinner time.

My we have been chatty the past couple of days. I've been away, we went out to see DS #2 this weekend and catch his hockey games. As a freshman goalie he is having a great season, he was selected for the All Star game and his coach just told us he is ranked #15 in the country for Division III club hockey team. I just had to brag a little.

Plus while we were away DS#1 makes a surprise visit home and then calls DS#2 to find out where we are. I guess DS#1 thinks we are just sitting home every weekend with nothing to do. Anyway we got to see he for about 15 minutes today before he went back to college.

So I have done no decluttering since Thursday. I need to work on getting my taxes together to get to the accountant. We have to have our taxes done to get all those federal aid forms filled out for college. Of which the governement will tell us we make too much money for any aid. I think you need to be dirt poor to get any sort of money other than student loans which they give to everyone.

Ave--- Glad you had a great girls night out. That sounds like such fun. How did you manage to get Big Fat Greek Wedding? Around here it doesn't come out until Tues 2/11.

Cathy-- Thanks so much for your work to get the rate at the Radisson. I will call on Monday. However, we probably won't get over there until 11pm. We tend to take the late flights out on Friday night, so don't get to MCO until 9pm. I'll have to see if I can convince Norm to take 1/2 day off so we can take a late afternoon flight so we can join in the fun.

Elaine--- Are you back from WDW? How was the trip and weather.

Mary--- I don't blame you for being angry. What a shame they waited 6 days to call.

Eric--- Good luck at the dentist. That is my least favorite place to go. I have some work that needs to be done, that I keep putting off.

Sometime I will join cruise chat, but will have to wait until the hockey season is over. Norm's high school team games are Friday nights and then we have been going out on Sat to see Brian play. So just not around for the chat. So maybe in late March can find the time.

Hope everyone has a good week. We are to have another 2-4" of snow tonight. Spring can't get here fast enough for me.

After the ice cream, waffle bowls and whipped cream for me they would have to name the movie, my big fat hillbilly sleeper. Dairy products make me sleepy. No milkshakes and driving for me.

We got about 2 inches of snow here so far. Yesterday they said a dusting and now it is 1 to 3 inches. Mike

Hey Chris - I love it! Sat Chats!!! LOL!

Sat Chats are in addition to the regular Friday Cruise Chat. Friday nights are open to all on the boards and have a moderator or two to keep things on topic. TNRobin is a CruiseChat monitor and so is CarolAnnK (but I haven't seen her in chat in ages) Both Robin and CarolAnn were on Cruisetoberfest #1.

Sat Chats, on the other hand, is an informal chat called by ourselves so only Cruisetoberfesters will probably be in the chat room. There will be no official moderator and we can go as far off topic as our imaginations let us.

Kathy, only SOME people from OHIO (but not all Ohioans... umm, Ohio people) skip reading all the posts. Hard to believe, isn't it?

That must be some woodworking show Cathy and Art went to. I remember now reading her post about it. (I read all the posts but I don't always remember so good.) Hope they are having fun.

Colleen (Scootersmom) - Hope you can make chat one of these days. And Nancy (padisneyfan), we will be be having SAT CHATS come March. Will look forward to you joining us.

Taxes!! We are usually done by now but haven't even called the Tax guy yet to make an appointment. And like Nancy said, we need to get those financial statements filled out with the tax info so that they can tell us - "nope, nuthin for you guys!"

Spent the day taking DD back to college. 4 hour drive to University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. 2 hours of lugging stuff up to the third floor. Then a 4 hour drive back home. Oh yea I did have a nice lunch with DD in there. What I am trying to figure out is how we are going to get all the stuff back home when the year is over. We have now taken 2 Suburban loads of "stuff" to school.
