Glad you guys like 'em!:bounce:

I have been scouting other boards for 10/11/03 DCL travelers. I found "Sea Angel" on the cruise critic board and have invited her over.

Great looking lanyards Mary. Can you turn the magnifying glass over and make things look smaller. I have a Dunlap around my middle that needs shrinking:)

Nancy hope that you are feeling better.

Dan the marathon man, way to go. Hope that you and Scott enjoyed Disney world.

Mike

Well, count me in with the cold weather whiners! Only 59 days till the first day of Spring! Then we can whine about mud! That didn't help much, did it? It's 4ºF here tonight! Brrrrr!

OK, I want to hear more about Mike, Art, Cruella and the sucking in of the bellies. Sounds like a good story there.

I have to admit, I would have been following Scott's lead on marathon day. Mm hmm, good luck, wake me when you get back, mumble, mumble.

Nancy, I would have been irate if I'd done all that decluttering and had to cart half of it back from the curb! Unfortunately, the stuff I have to go through in the basement here is mostly things that I won't toss... toys, games, etc that Josh has just outgrown, but are perfectly good. So, will sort through them for the grandkids and send the rest to Salvation Army or something. I'm thinking of bringing the whole lot upstairs and having my big kids come pick out what they want for their kids and put the rest immediately into the back of the truck and have Don haul it away.

Glad to hear someone else likes the WATP videos! I love those, but have gotten away from using them... and my scales can tell you it's true! Do you use the weights with yours?

Mary--Great news on the lanyards.. they look super!! I'm sure the DIS kids would get a kick out of having the magnifying glasses, and their parents can borrow to read the Navigators.
:teeth:

Would you all be interested in Cruisetoberfest II group bubbles for the sailaway party? I was thinking this evening and have an idea I could do for them if nobody else is doing it.

I'm off to bed.
Take care and think warm!
Colleen

Little idea to pass the time till we cruise .....

Let's make up some "SURVIVOR @CASTAWAY CAY" games...
Challenge #1 could be who can find the most Disney Treasures in the snorkel area.

OK --- anybody, next challenge?

Immunity Idol could be a giant Mickey Statue!

Back to work - UGH

Cathy with @C

(Mary ... have to check out the laynards at home cause we have a filter on at work! I think us older folks need the magnifiers too!)

Ok I'm whining again about the cold -- it's -18C and with the windchill it's -29C. It's supposed to get warmer for the weekend though.

Nancy -- All of our garbage was taken. We have recyling of cans, bottles, cardboard and paper so that helps a lot and we get it picked up every week which is nice. I'm in the process of throwing out a lot of paper -- all of my school notes are now gone. Not sure why I've kept high school history notes for 20 years but no more!!! University got thrown out as well. We are allowed to put out 3 garbage bags and after that we can put out as many as we want but they have to be tagged. Dumb thing is that the tags don't cost us anything and there's really no limit to the number we can get although we have to go to city hall to pick up more -- they deliver 12 every year to the house. Kinda a pain but since they don't cost anything -- at one point they were going to charge $1 a tag but so far that hasn't happened. I'm decluttering before it costs me anything. For big items we have 2 days a year where you can throw out whatever you want and no tags needed. They are in May and October so big stuff just gets stored in the garage til then. Hope to declutter some more this weekend.

Have to go and do some work today. Yuck.

Fiona

Cathy..how about... How many Konk Koolers can you drink???

OR
How long can you nap in a hammok??:p

OR
How much $ can you spend at the gift shop??:p

Or how about how many times can you go through the breakfast line at topsiders?

Or how many of our fellow Cruisetoberfesters can you collect pictures or signatures from?

Or how many times can you duck and hide from Eric when he is recruiting victims for the fitness center on board.:teeth: Mike

Colleen--- I have the WATP that have the blue balls and have been using those tapes for about 10 months. I just purchased the WATP for ABS which is now available in the stores. I got mine at Sam's Club and it has the belt. I started using those 2 nights ago, even though I did the others at least 5 times a week, this one has you doing different routines and I can feel the difference. Then I bought a DVD that Sam's had that is an older one of hers from 1995. She had just had her 3rd child and you can tell the difference in her appearance from then to now. That one has a 4 mile walk, but the routines are alot different from the other tapes. I need to be more coordinated to do those, and I keep triping over my feet. It is more areobic than walking so don't care for it as much as the WATP tapes. Thank heavens I'm doing them in my living room, everyone would have a good laugh if I was doing them in a GYM. I like the bubble idea.

Fiona-- I have broken down and bought the extra tags to use for this week. What a rip off, they are $2.75 per 32 gallon bag. So tonight need to rearrange the garbage from the toter, so the decluttered stuff can go in the tagged bags and the real garbage in the toter. Plus I have 2 boxes of old books from nursing school that date back to 1972. Talk about out dated information. Why do we keep those things? We have big item pick up in May also, so will be putting out alot then. Last year I cleared out old furniture from the attic, this year will be the garage stuff. Do people come around and take your thrown out items? The night before big item pick up, people drive up and down the street taking items away which I guess are treasures to them. I have had all my stuff gone before the trashman even get there.

I have cranked the heat up in my office, to try to get warm. Now tonight the cleaning lady will come in and turn it down and then I need to start all over again tomorrow. I going to put some type of shocking device on it so she leaves it alone.

Well, writing this from work so need to get busy again.

Nancy

If the Konk Kooler contains alcohol, I'd guess the person who wins that one would also win the who can sleep in a hammock the longest! :teeth:

Have any of you Dis Cruise veterans ever rented the bicycles at Castaway Cay? That sounds like fun. We always enjoy doing that when we stay at HH. Do you know if they supply helmets? Would we have time to do that and also have some beach time?

Colleen

OK - for Survivor CASTAWAY CAY ... There could always be:
- 10 Points for the first person that gets pestered to buy
a Conch Cooler
- 10 points for the person that gets asked the most to buy a
Conch Cooler
- 10 points if can dodge the "photographer" the longest
- 10 points for the person that builds the tallest ice cream cone
- 1000 points for the person that hold out and NOT eat at least
one thing on the Castaway Cay island (AHHH The Food/Fruit)
- 1000 points to the the person that gets their Castaway Cay
postmarked card back before a month goes by that they
are back home from the CRUISETOBERFEST II (I swear they
use a carrier pidgeon with one eye and one wing!)

YOUR TURN..............

Cathy with @ C

I don't know what 'warm' means -- it's been so long.

Nancy -- We are lucky that we don't have to pay for the tags. That's expensive. Yes, people come and take stuff. It's actually a riot to watch the stuff disappear and wonder what they could do with the junk. We had one guy knock on our door and tell us that he was coming back for the freezer that we had put out -- it had been my grandma's that she had had since the 30's. Really old and didn't work but I guess the metal was worth something. It's amazing the old text books you keep for some unknown reason. We can rip off the covers and put them out in the recycling though which is nice.

Still freezing and still at work.

At this point my only suggestion for Survivor is surviving the frigid cold weather!

Mike,
I appreciate your volunteering for a class of Step Aerobic :jester:
Or would you prefer "One-armed German Clean and Jerk"? You just need a large glass of beer for it, take it in your right hand, bring it with a swift movement to your lips, and then guzzle it down :p

For the time being the weather over here sticks to the old rule, that in Germany the difference between summer and winter is the temparature of the precipitation :(

Tonight I booked our hotel for Berlin. We found a nice place directly in the heart of the city for a reasonable price (After some bargaining on the phone).
Additinally Anja had her vacation planning meeting today and everything went perfect. Here's the official warning:
CAUTION: The Behrs are approaching American soil September 20, 2003 and will refuse to return to Europe before October 18, 2003. :p

Alikat99,
we're now considering to refrain from going to the East Coast, but visit the wonderful Gulf Beaches again. Tentative plan for now: 5 nights at Crystal River, 7 nights somewhere between Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach (Recommendations for a Motel with direct beach access and efficencies in moderate price regions are welcome) and 9 nights at Kissimmee.

Eric

We have four seasons in New Hampshire....Winter..still winter...almost winter and construction

FYI fourth season is usually July 4th & 5th..

LOL Bette & Kim!!

I just ordered the Refill-Kit for my PassPorter. I don't know if anyone of you has one, but I must say it certainly improves a WDW-trip!!

Eric,

What's the passporter like? I've looked at them on the web and am intrigued. Wish I could actually see one but they don't carry them in bookstores here yet.

Fiona

Nancy we are expecting 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight. The high tomorrow is going to be 15 F and a low of -2 F Going to get back into the 30's for the weekend. The high Monday was 65 F.

We will be wishing for some of this cold weather the latter part of July or August when the temps will be around 100 F with 100% humidity.

Have to sign off as I am taking Kathy to work and going to pick her up in the morning so that she doesn't have to drive in the snow with these crazy drivers. Mike
