Hi everyone,
Just got home from a long night of doing nothing on the Pediatric floor. They just wanted the "RN" there with the person who was really in charge.

She is an LPN who has worked so long there that I would trust her with any of my kids. She is great and I have learned a lot from her.
It is a blistering 7F. degrees here this morning. It will be -2 in the morning when I get up. The wind just takes my breath away when I first get outside. Wow! Glad I don't live in Minn. or Canada. By next week it will be back in the 60's. Love this Tenn. weather.
Congratulations Elaine! I really envy your get up and go I wish I had it in me to go back to school and get my BS in Nursing or maybe even my Masters. Where I work though it doesn't pay any more than for a diploma nurse. I have my AD in nursing but there are Diploma nurses making the same as me.
This snow and ice is making visits difficult for my second job. Hopefully I will get to make a LOT of visits on Saturday. I promised Friday this week to DD2 and DGD.

Lord is she cute!
Mike has just gotten back in the house from salting and placing sand in the driveway. Scarlet has front wheel drive and just came on up the drive without any problem but he wants to keep it that way. It is not the going up, it is the going down that is scary.
I know some dump pickers personaly that love looking through other peoples trash. Do you remember Jeff Foxworthy's jokes on furniture on the side of the road? "Hey, if that couch is still there tonight it'll be in my living room tomorrow" Or something like that. Boy Nancy you must throw out some good trash.

We just have to put it out on the road and call to have it picked up. We can get rid of large items (old refrig., stoves etc) twice a year. If you have more, well then you leave it in front of a neighbors.

With their permission of course.
Love the pb&j story too. That is so sweet of him to think of his mom that way. I know you are proud of him.
I am so pooped, I did one set of vital signs last night and kept up with the baby's I's and O's (Intake and Output) Took all of maybe 30 minutes of work including charting. The rest of the night I spent visiting with my friend on the peds floor. The less you work the more tired you are.
Take care, stay warm, please think about your pets and get them in out of the cold. Kathy, with a K
