Hi, all! I see you've been busy posting!

Tulirose-- Love the pics of the new dining room furniture! Very pretty! You also 'got' me with the post on who's pregnant! Had me going back through posts trying to see what I missed.

Mary--Good luck on your lanyard deal.... hope you can get them.

Ave-- I'll be hoping things go ok for your patient. How strange to wait so long to start prenatal care! You did the right thing following your instincts, I'm sure.

Bettemom--Loved the pics! Guess I will stop complaining so much about the 'little bit' of snow we have here. Gulliver is adorable!

Kathy with a K-- Glad to hear you're feeling a little better and getting some voice back. Bet Mike is glad! I'm with you on keeping the grandkids! We enjoy our Becca so much and I usually have her 3-4 days a week while her parents work, but I'm more than happy to send her home with them! Loved the ferret story. What on earth did you think Mike ate?!? LOL

Dave, Ellen, Corey and Lindsey-- Have a great cruise! We'll be waiting to hear about it when you get home.

Nancy-- Congrats on finishing the zapping! I'm still waiting to hear back from my sister, but will send you a pm.

Elaine--Glad to hear the house sold. Did you bury a statue in the yard to help it along? Can't remember the details on how that works! Good luck with the move and new house construction.

Eric-- Great job on the marathon preparations! We'll have to wait for some warmer weather before we can wash our truck or everything will freeze up. It's really starting to look bad!

Mary-- I think you'll like the radios. We use ours quite a bit. Got a pair for my parents for Christmas too, so Mom can check on Dad when he's working outside.

Dan and Scott-- So happy you finished the half marathon! Congrats!!

Deb-- Sorry you won't be able to cruise with us in October. We're hoping we don't run into a problem with our son's school.. he'll miss 4 days for the cruise.

Looks like a lot of us have the decluttering bug. I got most of the house done before the holidays and have mostly the basement still to do. I love the Flylady site....... signed up for her emails, but then found I didn't even have time to read them, let alone follow them! I'll have to give her another try.

It's snowing here again tonight. The guys went ice skating this morning, but that wind just seemed so brutal to me.

We had birthday celebrations all weekend. Had a great time at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner last night for Don's birthday! A fun place, but glad nobody mentioned it was his birthday. I think some of those other people were quite embarrassed. Today was Becca's first birthday party. Hard to believe she's a year old already!

I took Becca for her 12 month checkup and shots, etc. on Friday. Boy, hadn't done that with a little one for a while! Let's just say she'd be perfectly happy to just stay in the waiting room watching the fish in the aquarium!

Snowed again this morning ... ENOUGH ALREADY! I want sun, sand, turquoise water and my DIS friends. Pardon my winning but it's not bad enough it's in the teens and below (farenheight) but the snow just did me in.

Gonna try and check out some "Mouse" sites and get our of this frigid funk!.

Hey Cathy and gang. The snow is melted and the temperature is back up to 60 F. It is supposed to drop again and they are calling for some more snow later in the week. Have to wash scarlet and get some of the salt off of her. Gotta run. Mike

Cathy with @ C - I hear you about the snow and cold. It keeps snowing and that's unusual here -- it's cold but not that much snow but this year we just keep getting it. And cold -- my girlfriend was here from Yellowknife and at first thought it was balmy here -- she left Yellowknife and it was -40C (about -40F I think). Here it was only -5C. By the time she left though she said that the wind was something else here and it made it seem a lot colder here than 'up north'. At least she got a bit of the sunlight though because they are in darkness at the moment. The temperature here today is -10C but with the windchill factor it's about -22C ( I think around -7.6F). Had to go out at lunchtime and the wind was whipping.

Really looking forward to some warmth.

Nancy - loved the flylady's site and will have to start decluttering too. Tomorrow is garbage day so 27 items are going out.

Tuli, NICE Furniture. Loved the pictures. Now you will have to take more and post them when you get the new light fixture. Say didn't you do a new bathroom too? Where are those pictures???

In the process of packing. We have a late flight on Friday so Corey doesn't miss any school that day. Praying for no snow. Since we get in late we won't make it to the Radisson that night. I got a reasonable rate with AAA for the Hyatt at the airport.

Also, yes you are right about our bathroom but we have not painted/wallpapered it yet and there is still newspaper covering the window 'cause we didn't pick out a window treatment yet either. When those get done, I'll post a picture.... if you insist. LOL!

One good thing about the Super Bowl, that's when they usually release some good commercials and LORD KNOW there will be a lot of commercials.

I'm tired of the cold, I want warm weather and want it now.

I am now becoming very cranky from all the cold weather, so I just need to complain. The only good thing has been I have gotten to wear all my new sweaters. But will gladly turn them in for a sleeveless top and shorts. So please remind me on the cruise when I am toasting from the heat, that I was the one who wanted to be warm.

Rosemary--- I love your new dining room furniture. Last year I got a new living room set so I know how wonderful it is to get new furniture. I still need to buy new living room curtains to go with the furniture. I never seem to get around to it. We are trying to decide to either reface our kitchen or redue the tub in the main bathroom. Decisions, decisions.

Kathy--- Do you have your voice back yet? I haven't gotten around to emailing Bunny. Now that the boys are back in college, I can get to my computer again.

Cathy & Art--- Sorry about the Eagles. The new year hasn't been good for your teams. First Penn State and now the Eagles.

Colleen--- You have had a very busy week. My decluttering is currently on hold. Last week the garbage man refused to take all my stuff, so he only emptied the toter. What made me really angry was he threw off stuff that was in the toter and put it on top of the 3 extra bags I had out. So once I put all the garbage that was left, the toter was again full. So am holding off on decluttering until after Thursday when the garbage man is back. So working on packing clothes to be taken to Goodwill or the Rescue Mission. Just pm me when you here back from your sister.

Fiona--- Did they take all your stuff?

Elaine-- I have to admire you for going back to shool. I was just stressed out last year, to get recertified in my specialty so can't imagine going back to take college course. Plus you are now going to be moving. Hats off to you.

Eric--- Last cruise, I did my power walking and can go up to 4 miles. With the cold weather, I am just doing Walk Away the Pounds Video and can do up to 5 miles with those tapes. They are more an aerobic exercise, but for someone a year ago who was totally out of shape I can now exercise up to 70 minutes with those tapes. Last years New Year resolution was to get healthy by losing weight (lost 70 pounds) and to exercise. I am probably in the best physical shape I have ever been in. Which considering everything that has happened in the past few months says alot. Even when I was younger, I didn't exercise. So I won't be able to jog with you, but you will find me in the mornings doing my power walk around Deck 4.

Ave---- I know exactly where you are coming from about dealing with people. In my job I am dealing with sick people which only makes them worse at times. I had a teenage quadraplegic patient not to long ago, that I had to report the mother to protective services. He came to our wound clinc with pressure ulcers over all the bony area on his body and malnutrition. She was not a happy camper with me. She is a business woman, very well dressed, nice house but obviously the child was being neglected. She ranted at me the entire time and said I would be hearing from her lawyer. Come to find out it, that the family is will know to Children Services.

I am going to bundle myself up and go out into the cold. My van doesn't even warm up by the time I get to where I am going.

Good news gang! I got the lanyards! 150 of them for 11.78 plus shipping, total 20.56!!! I am thrilled!I will be MORE thrilled if I need them all.

Rosemary...LOVE the furnitue. The nice thing about dinning room furniture is that it STAYS nice for SO LONG!

Our weather has been up and down. 65 today, but they are predicting snow later in the week.

Not sure if this will work, but will give it a try. The lanyards are advertising a company that sells school/science related items. There are magnify glasses attached to them, but I think I might take those off and give them to the kids school. (Maybe leave them on the DIS kids lanyards)

Way to go Mary. For us older folks the magnifying glass might help us to read the small print on the Person Navigators. Did you ever see the shrunk down version the crew members have? Even the magnifying glass wouldn't help me.
