We heard that the temps in the East are up to more than 32ºF again, but also that there are still many people living in black-outs.
Fortunately our country is so small that we can afford to have most of the cables underground, just the really huge high-tension lines run on masts and these are very cold-resistant. So black-outs are very rarel experience over here - I can't remember any during my lifetime.
We had the first frost in Frankfurt this night, a good opportunity for the remote controlled heating unit in our car to show its abilities: It's so great to jump into a cosy car which is heated up to nearly 80ºF
in winter.
