Hope to see everyone in chat. Kathy and I had a small chat last night, hopefully today she can get mike to move so she can talk to us all.

Dan

Hey everyone - It was great to talk to you this morning!!

For those that weren't on chat, Chris finally got the new pictures up on our website, www.RodgersFamily.cc Go to the photo gallery and you can see pictures of Emily's first haircut.

Hi, all! Great chatting this morning.

Rosemary-- I hope Oliver is going to be ok. Our cat, Olivia, started out to be Oliver because Josh refused to believe she was a female. :-) Keep us posted on his condition.

Amy & Chris--Checked out Emily's first haircut pics. How totally cute! It looks like she sat so nice for it too.

Ok, I'm off to the $100 store (Walmart) with Jen and Becca.

Take care.
Colleen

Loved chatting with you all this morning. The temperature today is supposed to get to about 55º F today, but that would be pushing it. They are saying maybe some light snow tonight. Have to go outside and start the pump to pump off the excess water on top of the pool cover. Mike

Rosy and Rich,
we hope your Kitty will be well again soon!!!

Did you see the fire yesterday? They just said on the news that thousands of New Yorkers were very frightened, because they thought it was a terrorist strike. I can imagine that, after the episode with that wacko in the plane over Frankfurt :(

Hi Everyone, Whew, so many posts, so little time. By the time I read everything I'm too dazed and bewildered to resond.;)
Rose, Hope Oliver is on the mend. Please let us know.
MaryJo, I PM you about Sarah and DD getting together.
Mary-Rellingtwin, How's the foot? Also what happened when you got to work Tuesday?
Tina, My family wants in on the Savanger Hunt. There are 4 of us.
We're taking the kids to a Mardi Gras Parade today, around 2pm. Should be fun. We go every year, and every year it gets bigger and better.
I tried to get into the chat last night, then again this morning. I guess I'm going to have to break down and ask DH to help me. :(
Later, Ave

I also had a great time in chat with everyone this morning~

Tulirose- Hope to get an update on Oliver.

Amy/Chris- The pictures are adorable!

Twinave- Glad you are joining the scavenger hunt.

Dan

taswira,

Sorry to see that people are using your pictures on their own websites. Can't you prevent them from being about to copy it? OK I don't know if you can, but I know I had pictures on picturetrail.com and it asked if you wanted your pictures secure so no one could copy them.

Dan

Ok guys, hope everyone has a great day. I am on my way to work now.

Rosemary- I will be thinking of Oliver all night, hope I can come home to some good news about him.

Love ya all!
Dan

Folks,

you won't believe me, but right now at the moment we have Peter Falk (Columbo) dressed as a German policeman in the most famous German TV-show.
It's a show called "Wanna Bet?" in which candidates do the craziest things and V.I.P.s bet on them. Mr. Falk lost and had to don the uniform. BTW the show is broadcast live!!! J Lo was also on it, but won her bet and departed after 30 minutes.

Hi Guys. We got Ollie this morning from the Emergency Hospital and transported him to our regular Vet's office. His bottom jaw is cracked - split in the middle - and Dr. was going to wire it together. (we got phone call just recently saying all went well with surgery). We will be able to take him home tomorrow but no hard food for two weeks. Ollie was VERY VERY lucky. He looks absolutely terrible, however. We figured with all the snow, he couldn't run just anywhere to get off the street and had to head to a driveway or walkway that was clear. He must have panicked. He is normally so very streetwise and stays far away from cars.

After we left Oliver at the animal hospital we stopped by Richard's niece for a quick visit before she had to be at the hospital for a 12:30 appointment. It was nice to see her and her three boys, the baby is now 5 months old and we haven't seen them since Christmas. Can't believe how big he got.

Thank you all for your well wishes to Oliver. He is just a cat but those of you with animals understand. He is one of four cats we have but the only one who goes outside because he adopted us and when we finally took him in, he still insisted on being an outside cat but he had been lately spending much more time indoors. I think his outside days are numbered now - like at ZERO!!!! Dan, yes he is the one that jumped on your lap (he is not as fat as King who no one ever gets to see) but you have to remember, you were sitting on his chair!! LOL!

Sorry I missed the Cruisetoberfest chat. Hope you had a great turnout. Did Cheese make it? I wanna know all the details... who was there and what did you guys talk about!?

Dan - you never answered Cathy's question regarding where you got 'The Making of the Magic" book.

So much happening on this thread. I can't even keep up anymore. But that is a good thing... I think.

Rosemary, glad to hear kitty is on the mend! I'll bet you have a difficult time keeping him in! I had the same situation with a cat who had been injured and had to have a leg apputated. There was NO WAY I could keep him in once he recovered.

33 weeks to go!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Ok, I'm off to the $100 store (Walmart) LOL

Isn't that the truth. You go for one item and leave with a cartful.
Norm refuses to go on the weekends. The place is crazy and you have to park 2 miles from the store. I might as well walk from my house to Wal Mart as it is only about 1 mile from me.

We went to Kohl's today for their Super Saturday sale. Everything we bought was at least 50% off plus I had a 10% off coupon. Yes, the bathing suits are in the stores. I didn't see shorts, but those darn capri pants are still in this year. I was hoping they would be out of style this year. I've tried them on, but I don't think I look right in them. So have never bought them. Didn't buy any spring clothing, but still managed to spend over $100. The two stores I need to stay out of are Kohl's and Wal Mart, then I would have alot of money to cruise with.

Mike-- We are having the heavy rains today over 1" of rain. So 1/2 of the snow has washed away, so only 12" on the ground. The streets are like streams since some of the drains are covered with snow. Plus very foggy.

Rosemary--- Glad your cat is out of danger and will make a full recovery.

Cathy--- Glad you are feeling better. I know at work everyone has been sick. Norm had it about 2 weeks ago. So far I have been able to avoid it. Maybe my radiation glow is warding off evil germs.

Mary--- How is the toe? I have a gift certificate for a nail salon and since I don't have the fake nails anymore, I was going to use it for a pedicure before the cruise. However, I will have to think twice about it. I had fake nails for about 4 months, but didn't get a fungus with them. They seem to take good care of their instruments.

Amy--- Emily's haircut pictures are so cute.

Eric--- You make my tired just reading your exercise routine. I'll just stick with my 2-3 mile power walks and Walk away the pounds tapes. Having a buff body is a good thing.

For the James Patterson fans. Sunday at either 8 or 9pm. his book First To Die is going to be a TV movie. I just finished ready that about 3 weeks ago. I just finished Janet Evanovich book "Full Tilt" and am starting Patterson's "2nd Chance". Which is the second book in his series of the Womens Murder Club.

Such sad news this week between the fires and the little girls who died from the mixed up transplant. I think I will avoid watching the news for a few days.

I think I have caught up with everything.

Later,
Nancy

Tuli glad that Ollie is going to be ok. Wish that you could have made the chat this am. There was myself, Dan, Eric & Anja, Colleen, Matt 204, Chris, Amy and I know that I am leaving someone out, but I have had a senior moment and don't remember who else.

We are having a few light snow flurries now. It made it up to 62º F today and now it is snowing"What's up with that?"

Nancy good to hear from you and Norm.

Mary I received an email from George today(The Sorcerer). Haven't heard from him since the cruise. He and Barbara have been busy. Have you heard from Dennis or Chrystina?? Mike

Rosemary - I'm so glad to hear that your kitty is going to be ok. I know exactly what you mean about having animals. They are like part of the family.

Colleen/Nancy - I can also relate to the WalMart issues. I can't ever seem to get out of there without spending a small fortune. I don't go to ours very often because the traffic around there is out of control. It's a Super WalMart, and it's so packed that the parking is horrible. My favorite store is still Target though. We have one just around the corner from our house. And, it's right next to the Publix too, so it makes it convenient, but costly.

Nancy - I have the Walk Away the Pounds videos too. I've promised myself that I was going to start doing them again. I've been sick the last 2 weeks, but I'm hoping to get up early Monday morning to start working out again.

The weather here in FL has been amazing the past couple of days. Friday it was 78º and sunny, and today started out nice. But, we had to go to a wedding in Clearwater at 4:30pm and just as we were getting close to the hotel, it just started to pour rain. Chris dropped me off, but had to park blocks away and he got completely soaked. Poor guy. But, the wedding was beautiful, and we got to see people that we hadn't seen in months.

Well, I'm headed to bed. I'm exhausted and I'm sure that Emily will be up bright and early in the morning.

Mike, how nice that you heard from George (the scorcer). Glad to hear He and Barbara are doing well. I have not heard from Dennis or Chrystein. The were going to stop and visit Ave on the way to WDW but never did. I might drop them a quick hello, and see how they are doing.

Thanks for asking about my toe. It is much better. Of course it will be about a year before it is back to normal, but I do not care what it looks like as long as I am not in pain. I did go out and buy a pair of Danko shoes. Many nurses wear these and swear by them, and I am now one of them. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! As an added bonus, my feet do not hurt at the end of very busy days anymore!

I don't think I have EVER gone to Wal-Mart without spending $100+. I bought some REALLY nice flannel sheets they had on sale!$16.00 for a queen SET!!$5.50 for a twin set! Had to beat a price like that!

Spring has sprung in SC! DH brought me in a bouquet of narcissus from the back yard. We also had rain today, and I know better then to put the winter coats away yet, but it's getting close. Hang in there, winter is almost over!

Nancy, I would ask not only how the instruments are cleaned between clients, but also ask how the foot bath is cleaned. It is important that it is not only disinfected, but that if it has "jet" action, that the disinfectant is also run throught that! I remember seeing a 60min. type show where TB was spread through the foot baths in a saloon. The place was very clean and they could not find the source at first, but the filters in the foot baths grew out positive cultures. I think IF (big IF) I ever do it again I will either bring my own foot basin with me OR I will bring a few ounces of bleach and ask that it be added to the water. I am also going to continue to put bleach in the tub when I shower. Just to be on the safe side:) I do NOT wish to do this again:eek:

I saw that the Magic sailed late today, about 6:15pm. I wonder if delayed flights were to blame?

Sorry I misssed chat. I had to do the Girl Scout thing this am. There is no meeting next Sat, so I will plan on being there. Poor Ave tried so hard to get into chat. I was "talking her through" it but it wouldn't work.
BTW Ave, about work when I got back on Tues...all was fine:)
Goodnight to all!
