Mike ... Going to try and mess around with the cleaned up Mickey. What do you think of the font I used in your sample? I was aiming for something can is easily read from a distance.

:bounce: I just faxed the Radisson and will let you know what's up as soon as I hear. For you guys that made reservations BUT had a problem, I may need your confirmation #'s to be sure we are all linked.

Eric .... Are the German Giraffe's extra sexy or what? Just wondering, given the population explosion. The pictures you sent earlier were soooooooooooo cool to see.

Have a Mickey Day........

Font was great Cathy. A Winner.

Cathy I am going to pm you my confirmation number for the Radisson. Mike

I have a few minutes while Becca's napping and before Josh gets home.

Mary & Ave-- Glad the HH trip was a success. Sounds like everyone had a great time.

Tulirose-- Funny that I look like someone you know. I've been getting that all my life! Always look like someone's sister, cousin, friend, whatever. I must have a 'common' face! :D I checked out your snow pics. Looks like you had more than we got. Nice dog, too!

Eric-- Thanks, again, for the update. You do an excellent job of keeping us informed.

Amy & Chris-- I used your link to your web page. Emily is a little doll! Such a cutie! Let us know when the haircut pics are up. Glad the stunt man is going to recover. Sounds like he was lucky in the way he fell.

Mike-- Love the pic of Katie with her hidden Mickey. Very cute!

Tina-- We may be interested in the scavenger hunt at Key West. I sent an email to Scootersdad at work, but we seem to be having trouble with my roadrunner email getting through to his msn email at work. Hopefully, we can find time to talk this weekend and let you know. It does sound like fun.

Cathy w/@C-- Glad to see you well enough to start posting again. We missed you.

Well, we have our next vacation planned out. We'll be leaving the 2nd week of June for Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Have never been to either. Anyone here been there? Any must-sees?

Josh is finally on the mend. Went to the Dr on Monday and he has a virus. Got meds for the cough and he's doing better. She said he just needed to break the cough cycle to get rid of it.

Ended up with a snow day on Tuesday, so the poor kid was home for 7 days, only two of them absences, thank goodness.

We're having a tropical heat wave here! Up to 43ºF and some of the snow is melting! There is hope that spring is on the way.

I really need to keep up with this more regularly!

Take care, all. Pixie dust to all not feeling well. Hope to see you all at chat.

Colleen

:Pinkbounc RADISSON UPDATE :Pinkbounc For the people that had a problem and were not able to register under the code of CRUISETOBERFEST and get the $89 regular room rate / $119 for 2 room suite rate .... Stan from the Radisson @ the Port said he is unable to correct the present reservations you may have already made BUT what you can do is call the 800 # back and ask they to either switch you to the CRUISETOBERFEST code or cancel and rebook under that code. I guess I can understand that one person shouldn't be abel to mess with another person's rese's.
On his end the code shows for nationwide reservations ... you may just have to do as I did and make them look further or actually contact the Rad @ the Port for verification. I tried!

Little request ... it's the weekend and those of you that may still be into "going to clubs" :bounce: Please be careful, really hate to hear anyone of us gets caught up like in Chicago or Rhode Island. OMG how awful for those families and friends (and even the poor searchers).

:smooth: At my age, Date Night is Friday night after work, stopping at Olive Garden, Red Lobster or Texas Roadhouse having dinner with the dear hubby and then making the Wal-Mart run!

(Beginning to think I may have had just a wee bit too much cough medicine!)

See Ya ... think warm sand, the sloshing of the water against the Magic, pin trading in the lobby, crashing on one of the deck chairs on deck 4 - watching Eric run by!

Cathy with @ C

Am definately dreaming of sun and sand at the moment. It's 4pm her and suddenly everyone needs something done by the weekend, and here I thought I'd get to leave early. :(

Back to work of draft contract clauses but dreaming of sun and sand.

Fiona

I don't know about the giraffes, Cathy, but the men over here really are !!

Yup,
we will be there for the chat 4pm our time, 10am yours (9am for thw hillbillies ;) )

Rosemary and Rich,
did they extinguish that fire in your harbour? The pics we saw on our evening news looked terrible. In the last days you really had your share of horrible fires in the States :(

Cathy we have confirmed our 89 rate with the Radisson.

Just for that remark Eric we will not button the top button on our bib overalls and you will have to look at my belly:jester: Tell Gramps we said hello and we have Rolands mother in our prayers for her tumor surgery.

Still waiting for the name of a good ark builder. More rain tonight:mad:

Hope to chat with some of you tonight in cruise chat and tomorrow in Oberfest chat.

Colleen, Kathy has to work tonight, but we will try to keep her awake long enough to say hi tomorrow.

Here is a very interesting link: Rights

Mike

Mike,
in this case I'm grateful that we don't have a video-chat :jester:
I just read M.A.S.H: and often had to think of you Southerners when Duke Forrest was talking. He started every phrase with"Y'all".
I'll relay your greetings to Roland's Mom and to Gramps, Thank you. Gramps was kind of depressed today as it would have been Granny's 90th BD. He spent the day with his daughter (My Auntie) at the cemetary :( Granny and he were married for 63!!! years and it must be tough for him.

We have had a very stable high pressure system stationary over Central Europe for the whole last week. We haven't seen any clouds for a week, the nights were frosty with temps in the 20, but the days were wonderful in the upper 40ies and I drove to the gym from work every day with the top down:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: Now spring can come. I especially hope that the nights get warmer. My halfmarathon will take place sunday in two weeks at 9am and I don't want to freeze off any important parts ;) But nevertheless I bought a new running dress with long tights, long sleeves and a vest, everything made of special Hi-Tech-fibers. Tomorrow I'm gonna buy some special running gloves and then I should be set for the race. Today my trainer had a special suprise: Instead of letting me run 15 miles, he made do intervalls: I had to run 1 kilometer (.6 miles) at a speed of about 8.5 mph then reduce speed to 5 miles for three minutes, then another kilometer at 8.5mph - 10 times. I had a heartrate of about 175 during the last two highspeed portions. But my maximum is 205 so I was still save. This week my preparation will reach it's peak and the week before the race it's only relaxation with 7 to 8 miles per day at low speeds.
I haven't done any boxing or iron-pumping for the last 8 weeks, but I'm looking forward to some punching and pushing after the race.

Nearly forgot it: Funny link, Mike. We don't have to punch out before we go the john, we have keyboards and screens in the stalls and continue working :jester:
BTW: Your "Nose"-mail didn't have an attachment - Did I miss a joke or was something missing:confused:

Tina,

I just asked DH and I got a positive response. Sign George and me up for the scavenger hunt.

Nancy

Eric I the nose email was the end of Jacko the wacko's that kept falling off and he would put it back on. I don't know why it didn't attach.
Eric said I bought a new running dress
Was your old dress torn??;) ;) ;) I do have to say though that your English is a hell of a lot better than my German. I can only order a beer and a cup of coffee in German.

I did find some photo's of my time in Germany in 1981 and 1984 when my National Guard unit went there for our annual training. We took a day trip to the border between east and west Germany in the Fulda Gap region.

The scavenger hunt is beginning to sound interesting. Mike

Here is a link to just some mindless entertainment: Hamster Dance just click and turn up the sound. mike

Gosh--the last time I checked this board was on Friday, Feb. 14 at work (I have a computer at home but my dd 13 has it so jazzed up that I don't know how to use it--she said that I am computer challenged!)--Anyway, I fell on ice on Saturday and did a very ungraceful split--my husband wanted to take me to the ER but I figured that I would be fine and went home and took a nap and then when I woke up, I couldn't even put any weight on the leg/knee. I went to the ER at the hospital that I work at and they thought that they saw a fracture of the bone above my knee so suggested that I see an orthopedist on Monday. Woke up Monday to 18 inches of snow so with a bum knee and crutches, I wasn't going anywhere (plus the orthopedists office was closed due to the weather)--went to the doctor on Wednesday and I didn't fracture anything but did tear the ligament. Been very sore all week but enjoyed my week off of work--would have rather spent the week on the Disney cruise but what can you do?

Mike. . . Katie's picture is absolutely beautiful--hard to remember my daughter that small--dd (Sarah) just celebrated her 13th birthday on Tuesday!

Hope Cathy with a c is feeling better--she probably got more snow than us since she lives about 10 miles from us!

Bettemom--how far are you from Killington, Vt. We are going there in August and hoping to get to New Hampsire--maybe we could arrange to meet for dinner or lunch.

Hope everyone else is fine--my daughter showed me how to finally get on the internet (I have been trying all day) and she just took time out of her schedule to show me.

Ave, Sarah would be thrilled to e-mail your daughter and maybe they could get to know one another before the cruise.:Pinkbounc

FYI Scootermom--we own a timeshare in Williamsburg, Virginia and go about every other year and I am sure that I can find te weekly paper from Williamsburg (they actually make you feel like you are in colonial times and every day of every week, they go to a different day in history and you can meet with George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Just PM me at work and when I get back to work, I will send you some stuff. I think that you will really enjoy it--there is lots to do there including Jamestown and Yorktown. Where are you staying there? We own a timeshare at Powhatan Plantation/Greensprings. Mary Jo:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Guys - Sorry I left chat so abruptly and I probably will not make chat tomorrow morning. Oliver, our outside cat (the one who brought in the bird the other day) was hit by a car. I heard him screaming. We rushed him to the ER. They are keeping him overnight. I am going to call at midnight to see if he is more stable. He has a broken mandible and torn lip and is in shock. They are giving him intravenous fluids and painkillers and antibiotics and take x-rays. In the morning, hopefully we can pick him up and take him to our regular vets (Richard's niece and her DH). They are about a 40 minute drive away so I don't think we will be back in time for chat.

Tulirose Sure hope that Oliver is ok--we will say a prayer for him--I have an Austrailian Shepherd named Precious and my husband says that I worry more about her than the rest of the family--I worry when she is out in the cold or limping, etc. just because I feel that our animals are helpless and priceless and give us their love without asking for anything in return. Pixie Dust to Oliver from Precious!!

Hello everyone,

I am on the pediatric floor tonight and HATE it. It is not a hard pull but it is not my home here. I have two babies that I am taking care of and the parents are with them, thank goodness. I am not a pediatric nurse because babies know that I am not their mama and I always feel so bad for them. I know it sounds weird but newborns, I feel, don't care who takes care of them. :(

Mike has informed me about chat tomorrow a.m. and I will try to stay awake long enough to participate, at least through Mike's fingers.;) Sometimes he lets me. ;)

Mike, while I am here, I keep forgetting to ask you about the scavenger hunt, I think it might be fun. Remind me when I get home to ask about it. Ok? I just never remember to ask about it. :teeth:

I do lurk at work, everyone, but just don't get to post often. When I left home this afternoon Katie and Stacey had just arrived and I had to leave that sweet baby and her mama. I will be off until next Wednesday after tonight. Yea!

Eric, hope you do great in your marathon I bet you are really buff! I just don't have the will power.

Your pics were beautiful Rosemary. I am glad you all had that snow and not us. However, if we had that much snow, we all would certainly had to stay put! Even the nurses have to stay at the hospital if the next shift can't get in. That is a bummer.

I hope your little kitten is ok Rosemary. I will say a prayer for him.
Looking forward to chat with all of you. Kathy with a K
