Mike - Stacy's new fish looks really neat. Please post when it's painted. Also sorry to hear about Eric's eye. Eye injuries can be scary.

The weather here today is supposed to go up to 28C and break the old record set in 1942. Tomorrow the temperature is going down to 2C and we might get some flurries and freezing rain. How is this possible? Summer clothes one day and winter ones the next?

Looking forward to consistently nice weather.

Gotta get back to work. Have 4 messages waiting for me. Some days I really hate voicemail.

Fiona

:Pinkbounc UPDATE ... I was just at WalMart ... they have the floats and they are called "Spring Floats" for about $17.88 each.
That way you only have to buy one and if you get two, they are cheaper than our Sam's was.

Fiona ... Be careful with the SARS up in Canada.

? In the Roger Rabbit Movie, there is Roger Rabbit, Jessica Rabbit BUT what was the human guy's name? It's driving me nuts and that is just a short drive these days.!

Cathy,
the actor's name is Bob Hoskins, and the character's name is Eddie Valiant . This will cost you a cocktail :p
I needed about 10 seconds to get that info!! How? That will cost you another cocktail :jester: I just went to the amazon-page, typed Roger Rabbit in the search-window and -Voila- a description of the movie appeared.
I hope the rescue of your sanity will protect me from another dunking :smooth:

Folks,

after having rescued Cathy from going nuts (See above post) I'd like to inform you, that the 22nd edition of The List is in your mailboxes - Enjoy it.

Mike,

please relay some PixieDust from Eric to Eric for his eye. I feel with him. When I was 14 (To be exact on my 14th BD!!) I was in the hospital to have a spot of pigmentation removed from my eye by surgery :( It really is a nasty feeling

Will have to go look to see if our Walmarts up here have the floats. They sound interesting. We don't have a Sam's club here yet although I believe one is going to open in Pickering (where I work) in the fall.

Many more people are under quarantine from Sars here today but so far (fingers crossed) hasn't affected anyone I know.

Still nice and sunny here although I haven't had a chance to get out yet today. Was going to eat lunch outside today but a client stopped by instead.

Fiona

Fiona,
we have the first case of SARS in Europe, which didn't come from overseas. A guy in UK got the bug without having been to Asia or another "dangerous" place. So now people are afraid that the disease really found its way to the Old World :(

OK Eric, I owe you a cocktail ... how about a beer? Can't promise about not dunking ze German though! I can't believe I couldn't remember Rodger whinning about Eddie so much.

Hey what's up with SARS ... if it's not one thing it's another. What's up with that!

Gotta run ... need to pack my briefcases to work out of the office tomorrow!

I have just been lurking as have been very busy. My co worker had to have surgery to remove her gall bladder last Friday. She had a major GB attack on Monday and hasn't been to work all last week and will be off this week yet. Of course, work is now crazy with patients everywhere.

Since the weather has finally improved over the weekend, have been outside in the evenings trying to clean up the yard. Norm went to the fishing party on Sat, but he never even took his rod out of the car. Spent the time visiting with friends we haven't seen in years. I never went up until 1pm, in time to eat lunch and visit. I had to make sure the weather was going to be nice before I went up.

Eric--- My SIL's mother is from Germany, and my neice and nephew call her Oma. My one grandmother was a Granny and she lived to be 95. My other grandmother also lived to be 95, but had Altzeimers. Unfortunately, my mom died at 57 and my dad at 67. Wonder if I have those longevity genes??

The weather here has been great the last couple of days. The surgical nursing unit near my office had Red, White, and Blue Day today. So since I always party with them wore my navy blue capri pants, my white shirt, flag vest, and red jacket. It is the first day, I could wear the capri pants and sandles. :Pinkbounc At least for the next couple of days can wear some summer clothing, before the cold front moves back in. :(

Mary--- Sounds like more action on the first day of the new job than I would have liked.

Mike--- Anxious to see the new catfish, the picture looks really cool. I love Mexican/ SW theme. Hope Eric's eye mends fast.

Cathy--- I'm glad you had some contact from Elaine. I am sending her pixie dust her way. Norm would kill me if I brought a float with me. I have so much stuff, I already take with me. Our last trip, the airline marked my suitcase "HEAVY". I bought one of those stand up hampers which are great, but can never get it back into the circle shape. It fits in the suitcase when folded so haven't been pressed to get it back down as far as it will go.

Fiona--- I keep thinking of you everytime there is something about SARS on the news in regards to Toronto. Hope you and your family stay safe.

Monday, I had my 6 month checkup and everything is going well. I feel terrific, just like my old self. No additional appointments until July.

Got to get ready to go home.

Later everyone,
Nancy

Pixie dust on it's way from here, too!

I just made my 900th posting! :bounce:

All this talk about floats has got me wanting to get one. I have one of those floating boards when you first learn to swim. I was going to bring that and goof around with it. It does take up more space than it should, though.

Tina :)

Congratulations on your 900th post, Tina :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

It's been a busy week! The kids are out of school for Spring break so I am having my yearly problem of what to do with them while I work:( . I wish I could just stay home with them but it's not an option.
Mike ...tell Stacey I LOVED the newest FISH! Who commisioned it?

Nancy...great news on your check up!

One of the doctors I work with just returned from China, so far SARS free!:p

Hi Guys,

Finally I get a day off and wanted to start it out by say hi to everyone! I have wondered latley why I took the promotion, because it has been HELL!

I miss everyone here so much and can't wait to see everyone.

Mary Jo-Thank you so much for the signed picture for Amy Wynn. I was very surprised! Thank you Thank you!

Take care guys!

OK so I reread the email Viking sent and I guess chat is on Saturday night, like Rosemary says I don't read everything the first time! So I can't not chat, so sorry!

Dan

Oops, just dropping by and read Dan's post. I must have misunderstood and thought the chat was for Sunday night also. If it's for Saturday, I can't make it either. Sorry.

Have a great day. Will try to stop in later.

Colleen

Then let's just do it on Sunday!!!

I'll check out the chatroom on both nights (Evenings for you).

Sunday sounds great to me. Mike

Dan

Dan...you're very welcome for Amy Wynn's picture..thought you would enjoy having it and knew I would forget to bring it on the cruise!! Funny thing is, I bought the "Behind the Scenes..Trading Spaces" book that day and was reading it yesterday at lunch and did anyone know that one of Vern Yip's first jobs was to design the offices of the Disney Cruise Lines...how cool is that..where is their office anyway??

papa...I think that we have the cousins to your mascot's up here also..seems to me that PennDot must have stolen Tennessee's state mascot because the exit that I get off at every day has been under construction for at least 3 years and it still is under construction!!!

Hey guys! I'll surely try to make it to chat this weekend. I would love to talk to you guys again. It seems like it's been so, so long!!!
