I have just been lurking as have been very busy. My co worker had to have surgery to remove her gall bladder last Friday. She had a major GB attack on Monday and hasn't been to work all last week and will be off this week yet. Of course, work is now crazy with patients everywhere.
Since the weather has finally improved over the weekend, have been outside in the evenings trying to clean up the yard. Norm went to the fishing party on Sat, but he never even took his rod out of the car. Spent the time visiting with friends we haven't seen in years. I never went up until 1pm, in time to eat lunch and visit. I had to make sure the weather was going to be nice before I went up.
Eric--- My SIL's mother is from Germany, and my neice and nephew call her Oma. My one grandmother was a Granny and she lived to be 95. My other grandmother also lived to be 95, but had Altzeimers. Unfortunately, my mom died at 57 and my dad at 67. Wonder if I have those longevity genes??
The weather here has been great the last couple of days. The surgical nursing unit near my office had Red, White, and Blue Day today. So since I always party with them wore my navy blue capri pants, my white shirt, flag vest, and red jacket. It is the first day, I could wear the capri pants and sandles.

At least for the next couple of days can wear some summer clothing, before the cold front moves back in.
Mary--- Sounds like more action on the first day of the new job than I would have liked.
Mike--- Anxious to see the new catfish, the picture looks really cool. I love Mexican/ SW theme. Hope Eric's eye mends fast.
Cathy--- I'm glad you had some contact from Elaine. I am sending her pixie dust her way. Norm would kill me if I brought a float with me. I have so much stuff, I already take with me. Our last trip, the airline marked my suitcase "HEAVY". I bought one of those stand up hampers which are great, but can never get it back into the circle shape. It fits in the suitcase when folded so haven't been pressed to get it back down as far as it will go.
Fiona--- I keep thinking of you everytime there is something about SARS on the news in regards to Toronto. Hope you and your family stay safe.
Monday, I had my 6 month checkup and everything is going well. I feel terrific, just like my old self. No additional appointments until July.
Got to get ready to go home.
Later everyone,
Nancy
