CRT was a ROYAL MESS!

let me jump in here I hate that place and I would never eat there again. it was not magical at all. I ate there a year ago and I still shudder to think aobut it.

OOOH, they are just going to love rushing us then with our dinner reservations in November! I am allergic to nuts, all of them. They are going to have to take their time with explaining the menu to me. I am hoping that I can actually have a decent meal.

I don't think the poster was talking about crowds...I think they were just pleased that they could do Cinderella's without having to pay for it, considering the bad reviews.
Actually, we did not use the dining plan for this meal. I would not use 2 TS credits per person for this. We paid out of pocket for the mess of a meal experience.

You may want to contact Disney Dining in advance. Actually, you should contact them for all your ADR's and tell them you have an allergy so they can flag it. The chefs will even contact you in advance to discuss what problems you have so they can be prepared.

I just wouldn't want you to wait until that day and be disappointed or worse, possibly sick.

Dinner at the Castle used to be a wonderful experience. I have many fond memories of the good food and great atmosphere. I've even watched the fireworks from inside. Plus I loved talking to Cinderella downstairs before the meal.

But for now I have to just remember how it was and pretend it burned down or something like that. There is no way that I'm going to go for a nice romantic dinner the way it is right now.

I too miss the old days when dinning in the castle was magical. We had many wonderful and special meals there with family over the years. I took my DH there on his first trip to WDW when he was 36. :scared1: All he wanted to do during that trip was eat in the castle. We had a table right by the window and Peter pan and Captain hook ran by us out on the balcony.
It was a great dinner.

I fear those magical days are lost forever to cattle call charecter meals and preplated, buffet type places that have taken over WDW. :guilty:

We have done both breakfast and lunch... Breakfast in April 04 was awesome! DD loved it! WE had lunch on Nov 27th and it was so so... The food was kind of gross and everything was so rushed... Not sure if we will go back...

Back in December 2005, we brought our DD2.9 princess: at the time, and our 2 DS :3dglasses :smooth: 9&6 not to happy about going ;) . Yes it started 90 days in advance, getting up and calling at the crack of dawn-finally getting in for lunch. All went well, the photo, seated us right away, interaction was fine w/ princess: 's, the food was fine. But I did feel rushed. We did use our dp-not sure if it was 1 or 2 ts? Would I do it again? Maybe :confused3 ? I think if I lucked out and got a ressie by luck-not going crazy again, maybe if it was during the free dp time, I wouldn't want to pay out of pocket for it $$$. I am glad we did it once, it was worth seeing the smile on DD princess: , and having photo's of DSs :3dglasses :smooth: if I ever need to blackmail them :lmao: .But that might be the only time we go, and thats O.K.

Sorry about all the not so magical stuff that happened at yours, hope you and your family enjoyed the rest of the trip :goodvibes !

It was wonderful on our trip in 2003. If DD 6 didn't mind skipping it I would. She really wants to eat in the castle . I already paid out of pocket for this and I'll be rather pissed if we don't get the photo because of some error on there part.

Thanks! I have already let them know, just not the day I made the ressies and boy, was the person who had to add that really uspset! Sorry, I totally forgot, was not pacifying them at all.

Nut allergies as an adult really stink.

We have a 10am ADR at CRT on a day that the MK has early EMH. Got that??? I'm only doing this because the kids are going for the 1st time and I want them to experience eating in the castle. We are on free dining, but are paying for this and HDDR out of pocket and using our spare TS credits for other resteraunts throughout our stay. I am actually kind of dreading this meal myself. I hate the thought of spending that much money on some waffles, etc. We aren't big breakfast eaters, but I lucked into an ADR calling well into my 180 day time frame, so I figured it was meant to be!! Hopefully everything will be ok the day we are there, because I'm not the person you want to push or mess with! I'm as polite as can be to a point, but no way would I allow myself to be rushed and no way would I allow myself to be taken advantage of and feel like I'm not getting my money's worth! I don't want to cause a scene, but good CS if VERY important to me and I definitly don't hesitate to let that be known in as nice a manner as possible. One of my biggest pet peeves is asking a question and getting and "I don't know". I alway wait to see if they will offer to find out and if they don't I say "Well, is there someone here who DOES?" My DH HATES that, but I always manage to get my question answered!!! Cross your fingers for Cindy that she doesn't decide she needs a break right when I walk in!!!

Sorry to hear that, OP. :sad2:

We have ADR's for Dec., and I've been excited but nervous too. It is our family tradition to have a lunch in the castle. DD13 has always enjoyed it. We all thought it would be especially fun this year since it is our youngest two's first trip. :wizard: Dh almost flipped out when he saw the credit card bill (I had to cough up the dough when the ADR was made). I had to work some overtime.
