CRT tips and fireworks

we have reservations for 8:25pm in August! We have never done it before, probably a one time thing. Looking to maximize our experience. What are your tips for those who have done it? Also, someone had mentioned being in the castle when fireworks start. Is that possible? Is our time late enough for that to work? Or would they shoo us out before? Thanks!

Unless you have window seats and there isn't that many or possibly table next to them - watching Wishes from CRT is not optimal. I would venture most seats do not have great views and you do have reflections on the windows. If you scroll through pictures on Disney link below you will see it's kinda a big round room with a couple side areas. Maybe 10 or so tables at windows. There is no viewing area for the other guests so you would remain at your table. If you have seen Wishes then no big deal, it's a different experience.

I agree that CRT is not the ideal place to view Wishes for the first/only time. You won't see any the effects on the castle, although they do dim the lights and pipe in the music. I do think an assortment of the tables throughout the restaurant have some type of view, although some tables might have a very obstructed view. The tables without a view are most likely the ones along the right side wall or the ones that are blocked from viewing the right side windows. I do think it's a fun view if you're looking for an alternative view, but not if you've not seen the show before.

We couldn't see anything but the light in the sky during wishes (nowhere near a window). However, it was a magical moment to hear the iconic fireworks, knowing we were right in the center of it all, on our first full day at WDW.

That depends on the month you are going... As the operating calendar stands now, it says 10pm every night in august.
