CRT and dining plan

Helllo all! I'm about to make my very first ADR for CRT and I'm wondering how that will work with the dining plan? If I remember correctly they charge your credit card upon reservation but is there a way to indicate that I will be using dining plan credits (I do know that it takes 2 credits which is why we have never done it before and likely never will again!) I'll be waking up at 5:45 to hop right on the computer at 6 a.m.!!

For what it's worth the food was gross and the interaction mediocre when we went at the end of May. It was a sad amount of food and the server was defiantly trying to rush us out. I believe if you book it while logged into MDE you can indicate you have the plan and it won't charge you.

Please note we had even done BBB that day so I really thought we would get some good interactions.

When we arrived, we told them we were on the DP and they deducted the cost (2 meal credits per person) from our plan and credited back my CC.. Seamless and easy. I found the breakfast food yummy and princess interaction great, DD loved the attention she received from each one. Alot of opportunity to take photos and we never felt rushed once. We're doing breakfast again when we go this in October.

They just took our cc number to hold the reservation, but they didn't charge us bc it showed we had the dining plan.

To book CRT (or the dinner shows) without pre-paying you will need to go through your MDE and link your resort reservation which will show you have dining plan. You will still have to give credit card info for the no show guarantee, which in the case of CRT is the full amount of the meal. Sometimes there is a glitch and if the online system wants you to prepay you will need to call to book with the dining plan.

When you call and make the reservation they can apply your dining plan so that your card does not get charged unless you miss the reservation. This is what they did for us. Try calling and set up the res over the phone rather than on the computer.

Be certain your reservation is linked when you log into the dining reservation system. Be sure that there is no amount showing when you are ready to accept the reservation. You will need to put in a CC to guarantee the reservation, but if you don't get the system to link your reservation (and realizing you have the dining plan) they will charge the full amount instead of just using the card as a guarantee.

When you arrive you can choose to use 2 credits to pay or you can pay and use your credits elsewhere. That's usually what we did as we like eating there, but don't think it's worth 2 credits.

Thanks everybody! Everything went well this morning. Went on through MDE and made reservation. It had an option of charging the credit card or using dining plan credits so it was actually very easy! I was also surprised to find that I can make fantasmic dinner package through MDE too so now I'm all set! Thanks again for your help!
