Crowds this week

We arrived Saturday and went to MK. It was packed!!!
Sunday was AK, Monday was Blizzard Beach and then Epcot, today was HS. I would say that they have had moderate crowds. We went this same week five years ago and it was MUCH different then. We walked on rides all day every day. This trip is not like that at all.

Magic Kingdom is ALWAYS crowded on Saturday.

If wait times for rides are under 30 minutes like several posters are saying, then It can't be that crowded.

I'm here now. It's my first time here in 25 years so I don't have much to compare it to. The ride wait times aren't obnoxiously long, but it definitley feels crazy! If this isn't crowded, I would NEVER want to be here when it is!!! I planned all my fast passes and adr's on the first day I could and have had a great plan so far. I haven't had to wait much at all in ride lines, but moving around the park, lines for quick service, buses, and bathrooms, the stores, all those seem very busy to me. :(

We arrived sat and went to MK that night too. It was miserable. We knocked out a few things during the parade and fireworks which helped salvage the night. I remember being in shock that IASW had a 40 min wait.

Yesterday DHS was more busy than I expected in the rain. We used our FPs and then left.

Today was freezing, so I assume that is why everything was wall on at AK. My DH and DD rode EE 6 times in a row with no wait around 2pm.

I'm not sure what these people were waiting for, but the wait times we saw were much higher than that. We arrived around 4:00 and it was crazy until about 10:00. We stayed for EMH and were able to ride more things without a huge wait. Before that though, a lot rides we wanted were at least an hour if not longer.

We must be on the same schedule! I agree Saturday at MK was crazy. Totally packed. Wait times for everything, including things like Peoplemover. We did HS on Monday (yesterday) and it was packed also. The rain did not drive people off immediately. They stayed and everyone congregated to indoor exhibits. It was really hard to walk until the evening, when people finally started clearing out.

We spent the day at Epcot today and the crowds were very manageable. I would call it a low crowds day. Wait time were accurate per the TP app.

Agreed! We are local with AP's so we go a lot.

We were there on Saturday between 2 - 6.

We had FP for Space first, when we rode the standby was 75 min.

We went on Buzz next. The wait was posted at 35, but we got on in 17 min.

Next we had FP for Mine Train. When we got off about 4 pm, the standby was 120 min.

Our last FP was for Big thunder. The posted standby was 80 min.

We got in line for Splash standby at 5. The posted wait was 35, but we waited about 25 min.

We walked by Little mermaid which was posted at 40 and Pirates was 60 min before 6. We haven't rode Pirates in so long because the standby is ridiculous every time we go!

What I meant is that MK is always crowded on Saturdays. It's always crazy, with higher wait times. So I don't think that MK on a Saturday is a good indicator of how crowded wdw is as a whole. Especially with EMH thrown in. Easy WDW never recommends going to a park with EMH, as they are always more crowded and he never recommends mk on a Saturday, especially during party season.

So were all of the parks wall to wall people with 40 plus minute waits on Saturday? Or was it just MK? I'm not being argumentative, I'm asking. We leave 12/11 and I'm expecting it to be busy. Just curious!

We went to MK on MVMCP days, when we did *not* have tickets for the party. MVMCP days tend to have lighter crowds because people who don't have hoppers don't want to use their ticket on a day that the parks close at 7, and those who have party tickets can't enter (using that ticket) until 4pm.

Lines definitely started picking up around 4pm..that's actually when at least 1 of our longer waits (Pirates) happened - around 5ish or so on Nov 7th. Before that, though, we actually had pretty low waits.

Now I will say we were using the Disneywaittimes.com site, which publicizes both the "posted" and "actual" wait times from Disney (2 different sources of information in the coding, from my understanding). Many of the posted waits were longer than we actually ended up waiting (the actual time on that site was pretty accurate, outside of surge times).

We also went to Epcot on Nov 7th, 8th, and 10th for the F&W festival. I was afraid we'd have long lines at the kiosks, since it was the last weekend...I've heard reports of there being 20 min long kiosk lines on the weekends of F&W. We never waited more than 5 mins total order and receive our food.

My family and I were there from Nov 7th-16th. It was our 10th trip in the past 12 years and I would say it was crowded. We are a rope drop family and now it appears everyone else is as well. EMHs were packed and rides were having technical difficulties which made things worse.

We waited in FP lines that were longer than any stand by lines in the past. We were spoiled in that we had never waited in a stand by line before that was more than 10 minutes. Now many fp lines were 20 minutes. We still had fun but our experience was drastically different from all the years past. I am just glad I could have that magical experience when my kids were young. I could not imagine pushing a stroller in those crowds we saw last week.

I followed EasyWDW's recommendations for our entire trip and that put us in Epcot on Saturday. Waits weren't bad. At 12n, MS:Orange had a 5 minute wait, TT had a 45 minute one, SE was 5 minutes, Nemo, Figment, 3C were all walk-ons. Soarin' was over 60 minutes, but it's always long.

We followed the recommendations by touring plans. Monday was a good MK day but yesterday was terrible for HS. It was about an hour wait to meet buzz and woody. It took over 30 min to get lunch at the abc com missionary. I saw wait times of 90 min for toy story so without a fast pass we wouldn't have gone on.

Yes, it was awful busy at HS yesterday and last night. Wait was still 65 minutes for Toy Story at 7:15pm. The Osborne lights were more packed last night than they were last week.

Awesome. I am following Josh's recommendations on our upcoming trip! We are doing Animal Kingdom on Saturday.
