We may have to move our January trip to mid May. We have been twice the very end of May. Could someone tell us what to expect for weather & crowds in Mid May. Thanks so much!!!
We were there mid-May last year. The weather was really outstanding - quite warm but not humid. It was more crowded than we expected, but that was because we had been to WDW in September and October the previous two years. It seemed like there were a lot of families with pre-school aged children who were perhaps doing a "last blast" at WDW during an off-time of year - we fell into this category as DD was getting ready to start kindy the following September. We didn't have any trouble doing all the things we wanted to do - the lines were manageable, but I wouldn't characterize it as "light".
We went in May 2003, I think it was 5/7-5/14, so we ended our trip in mid-May. I have to say that it was a glorious trip! It was unusually hot and humid (90's every day) and sunny, but I could handle the heat as it was not coupled with crowds! We saw and did everything we wanted to do with minimal waits.
Thanks for all of the feedback. Last time we went was in Dec 2002 & it was unseasonably cold. I think I am ready for a hotter Disney vacation (although my DH loved touring in pants & coats).
