What are the crowds like the week after the July 4th holiday?

I have not visited WDW during July since 1982 (Pre EPCOT). I imagine the crowds will be fairly large but not as bad as the week of the 4th.

This reply will put your question back at the top of the list and I'm sure some of our WDW veterans will have some advice for you about this.

We were there July 4 - 11 last year and the crowds (except for MK) were very manageable.

BUT, we just came back from our June 20 - 26 trip and I have to say I have not seen crowds like that since Easter 2000.

I guess it all depends on how you hit it.

We, for one, will never go back to WDW in the Summer again. We had AP's that expire 7/4 and wanted to use them one last time.

Hope you have a MAGICAL trip!!

Hopefully it won't be too bad since we'll be there the weekend after the 4th weekend. I've been at the end of July-first part of August and the crowds were not bad, it was our first trip but that was back in 1996. Hopefully we will all have a wonderful, non-crowded trip!!!
:D :D :D

We will also be there the weekend after July 4. So there will be at least 5 more people there (my family). We will just be going to one park (MK) on Friday.

Have a good trip!

Bobby

We went last year the week after the 4th. Stayed at YC and they were only at 50% full when we checked in. So they where down. BC was at 95% for the week. Crowds at the parks light except for MK which was crowded in the afternoon and fantasmic was packed.

Every onsite resort is nearly at 100% capacity. I would expect very heavy crowds :D

We only go to disney the week after the 4th of july. Have been for the last 7 or so years. While its crowded , its usually very manageable. Now with the FtP in full swing, I'm not so sure. Every year we go, I always ask either cro or wdtc if the resorts are filling up. They say the same thing, every year. Yes, we'll filling them up like crazy, there alsmost all full. Yet when we go, we're pleasantly surprised that its not that bad.

There are 6 of us going that week. I can't wait. Even if it is crowded it is still DISNEYWORLD. How can you complain????

We are there 7/7 to 7/11. We are anticipating pretty big crowds, but we have learned to take our time and we usualy do and see pretty much what we want.

July, August and weekends is to be expected.

I was actually asking because of a friend going then. We always go during off-times - that is why I couldn't say myself.

PLEASE everyone wish pixie dust on my friend and her daughter for this trip! She has wanted to go for years, but her hubby wouldn't even consider it. Finally, she has saved the money herself and she and her daughter are going without him! She is going with a church group and she feels like this will be her only chance to ever go....

I've given her all the advice I can with the main one being: have a great time! But I am oh so wishing for a great experience for her and her daughter.

That is such a nice story. They will be in my prayers to have the best time of their lives. I hope she can take a camera to record the memories.
