crowds end Feb

Hi everyone! I just found out that my DH decided to take some time off in Feb. So we decided to take our family trip to WDW at that time. I have never gone in Feb. and was wondering about crowd sizes at that time. We will be there from Feb. 23-28th. This is the week after Presidents Day weekend. Any info would be great! Also, does anyone know about the weather at this time of the year? Thanks everyone!

I have been the week before and the week after -but never this exact week - although this year we and hundreds of our closest friends will be down there for the great Mardi Gras escape

However, the crowds are usually so light, that we see many people we know and have had no problem in the past changing PS's to "hook up" with people for dinner, etc...

The weather is questionable in the sense of will it be hot or will it be cold? I think you really should pack both because both times we have gone at this time of year we wished we had packed more of each - shorts and sweatshirts/jeans.

I know it is wasted suitcase space, but believe me there is no way around it.

Also, it could be very chilly in the AM and by afternoon you are sweating.

we always go last week of feb into the first week of march. last year, the crowds went up dramatically from one week to the next. the last wek of feb we pretty much had epcot to ourselves, walked on to any ride without fp in mk and loved it. the following week the crowds really picked up and we usually left mk by noon because it was so busy.
the weather is also hit or miss. one year we were in tanks and shorts and it was so hot. another year, we started out with temps in the 50s and it felt chilly. later that week the temps were in the high 80s. we usually wear a light jacket and sweatshirt and jeans when we're flying so we don't really need to pack that much extra. but it's definitely worth it if you need it.

we will be there too!!!!! We are also escaping the Mardi Gras madness. I was hopefull that the crowds would be smaller than they are in the summer. We were there for last June 14th - 21st. The crowds at first were manageable then the gates broke loose. Wait times were like 2.5-3.0 hours. It was sooo packed in MK you could not move around. So we are really praying that the crowds are down a little this time Where is everyone staying? We will be at the dolphin. Could not beat the rate. 3 rooms 7 nights $3200.

We're there 2/27 - 3/6 AAA rate $162.50/night, and hoping for a little better deal, but if not, we're staying here anyway.
