Crowds at campfire?

We will be at Ft. Wilderness from 6/28 until 7/5. We would like to do the campfire one night. Are there any nights which are less or more busy than others? I didn't know if the nights of Mickey's Barbecue had an effect on the number of visitors, or if some other event/activity or general day of week might have a significant effect on the number of people attending.

Essentially, does it get so crowded that we need to take our own chairs, or that there is pushing and shoving to toast marshmallows? Just trying to get mentally prepared and decide if we go and things get busy if that is typical or perhaps we could simply return another night. Thanks for any help!

Just returned. Bring your own chair or arrive early. There isn't any pushing or shoving for the fire pits to roast your mellows, but you may have to wait for access around the pot.

You'll have a great time - it's all Disney. Just relax and enjoy.

Thanks again for your response. I figured it would be a pleasant experience what with the whole Disney standard, but just needed to get mentally prepared if it was pushy and not just a bit crowded. The couple of pics I have seen have been the area right at the fire and it looks crowded, but being unable to see the big picture I wasn't sure what to expect.

I particularly want this trip to be slower paced than most of our WDW trips and for us to actually relax at Fort Wilderness. The whole campfire/movie experience, especially when you add Chip and Dale to the mix, sounds like a lot of fun!
