we're just back from our week long pofq season pass trip.
boy was it crowded!!! or was it? my db and i debated this phenomenon all week. we started with mk on mon, character breakfast at cp. we could hardly get around!!. mk was full on every street. here's the kicker though, the longest ride wait was a walk on. we were bewildered.
it was that way everyday. the streets were pretty full but the ride wait times were minimal.
we accomplished everything at every park except fotlk again, darn it, included swim time and all shows and fireworks and disney quest. hot in the am / afternoon then cool nite time temps. everyone was glad to get home so we could rest.
high points
pofq is a beautiful resort, quiet all the time, clean and great cm's
new fav resort. fridges in all of our rooms( no charge)
rose and crown tuesday nite, two waterside tables- food served ten minutes before illuminations. great beer/great view
walking out of epcot at 10 pm and watching the kids chase the lights in the concrete walk ways
pool and hot tub time
mission space a+++ rode it twice in a row... my new fav
rnrc great smooth coaster
fast pass.. just because its there
wishes( watched from tomorrowland bridge garden path this time) very private view
whispering canyon
ohanas
seeing the person hanging from the ceiling in the hm stretching room( been there fifteen times and never noticed)
nice polite people at parks and resorts.
fantasmic dinner reserved seats a+++
helga the bus nazi at the pofq am bus stop. want to hire her as a nanny for the kids.
medium points
crystal palace character breakfast.. pretty place.. liked chef mickey a tad more
boma... i know people like it but, we sampled everything and i mean everything. the only foods we could eat were the prime rib and the deserts. we went and ate elsewhere because we were still hungry. just not our cup o tea
stitch... adults hated it , my 13 yo liked it, 4 yo hated it( lots of scared 4 and 5 yos).
san angel( love the pyramid/ambience, food just not the greatest.)
h&v fantasmic meal. food was just ok.( will try brown derby next)
one poor kid vomited a trail twenty feet long right beside our table as we were sitting down to eat... yummy
low points
none of course.
picked up some helpful strategic info this time.
dinners at other resorts take a lot of travel time if using disney transport. we plan on more park and dd restaurants next trip.
crowds can be subjective and unpredictable. have been at different times of the year and this week was supposed to be free of crowds. learned to blend in and enjoy any way.
small kids need less breaks than the adults travelling with them..whew!!!! plan on more pool days next trip
you can't do everything in one week. thats why we have season passes.
a bad day at disney is better than a good day anywhere else.
