Crowd Reports for May?

I am planning a trip around the first week this May. Has any other DVCers been during this time of the year? I need to know what the crowds are like. I am hoping that it is not too bad since all the schools should still be in session. Spring break is over and summer break has not started. Please give me some imput. Thanks

This will be our 7th trip in early May and its not to crowded. thats why we kept going each year and good weather too!

This will be our 16th May trip. The crowd levels have varied over the years, with some years better then others. For us, the weather conditions are just perfect, that time of year.

I'm staying 5/5-5/11 at the Poly and I checked the crowd calendar for that week and they were 4 & 6's (www.tourplans.com). That's very light. I've been there twice before for that week and it's a great time to go. Another good part is the Garden and Flower show is towards the end so the exhibits at peak time.

Hey, we'll be there from 8th to 16th!
That's good to know that the beginning will at least be good.
Do you know if the week after your trip will have a light crowd as well?

Well I just checked the calendar for you and it's all peaches and cream (4's and 6's) except for Thursday the 13th it's a 7 but that is still ok.

Thanks everyone. I usually go in the fall when it is least crowded. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village on 05/05 thru 05/10.

When we go in May, and it has been often, it's generally in the second week of May. These past few years have been very hot, with temps in the upper 90's.

The crowds are okay, not super thin, but good (ie. fairly low), I think.

Anyone got input on the week after the F&G festival? DS and his GF are going for that week as a graduation celebration. Would like to be able to tell them what to expect crowd wise and what to pack so they are comfortable. Of course with the crazy weather this year all bets may be off for the weather part.

We check in at AKV on the 16th - what are crowds like that week? I know Star Wars Weekends start on the 21st.......... which we'll be attending, so I know that weekend it'll be crowded, just wondering about during the week?

We check in on the 16th as well, at SSR. We normally go in May and have found the crowds to be reasonable ... 40 minute waits for E-ticket attractions like Space Mtn, for example. Totally doable.
