We are normally Disney World people and can do WDW with our eyes closes, however, we are moving to California, and are planning a mini trip to Disneyland on our way. Can anyone tell me what the crowd levels are like at the end of June? We are hoping to get into the park on the 25th. Thanks!

This year it's gonna be NUTS because Carsland and Buena Vista Street open a week from today. There will be lots of people coming to see DCA "reopened" after its 5 year, 1.1 Billion dollar makeover.

Also the 25th, in particular, will be possibly one of the most crowded days of the year because of the way that AP holders affect crowds at DLR. Different from WDW, at DLR, AP holders form a significant portion of any particular day's attendance. There are 4 tiers of DLR APs, the lowest forms have more block out days than the highest echelon. The 2 bottom levels of APs are for SoCal residents only. Those bottom 2 are pretty much blocked out for all of summer. June 25th is one of the last days that the parks will be open to 3 out of the 4 levels of AP holders. After that week, only 2/4 will be allowed in during the weekdays. These SoCal AP holders will most certainly want to see these new attractions before their passes get blocked out for the summer, which will increase crowd levels significantly.

If you can go on June 29 or after it will likely be a better experience.

Oh no! :scared: We will be there June 20-June 25 and I have a two day park hopper pass and I asked on this board what days would be best to go while we are there and everyone seemed to think that the 20th and 25th would be best. I've made reservations at Carthay Circle for lunch on the 25th too, I would like to get the WOC tickets. I've planned my whole trip around having our last day of vacation be at Disney. If it's going to be one of the busiest day of the year then, I will have to change all my plans. I won't go that day. What days should I go then?

I don't know, but I have heard the 24 is going to be one of the worst and we had planned for that day and taking the 25th off. All this seems to be coming out just now as I had researched and asked on this boards. I thought going that week would be preferable to the following around 4th of July but maybe not?

The 20th-23rd will all have very similar (although still high) crowd levels. The 23rd (Sat) might be a little less crowded because Deluxe APs are also blocked out, but the additional weekend crowds might nullify that. It's the 24th and 25th that will be the worst for you. Sorry that you had other ideas. You can still have a fantastic day at the parks. Granted, this is all total speculation. DCA will most likely be packed, but we still don't know how the opening of Carsland will affect DL's crowds.

The 24th will be probably worse than the 25th because it's a Sunday vs. a Monday. But the difference will be minimal because both days will be very crowded. The week of July 4th will probably be less crowded. The past few years, DLR has not been crowded on the 4th. :confused3

Well, I guess I will change my plans then. I am definitely going the 20th. I guess we will have to decide if the 21st or 22nd would be better (both are Grad Nights). I will cancel my reservations at Carthay Circle and redo my vacation itinerary. I don't think that Saturday the 23rd would be good at all. This is so frustrating, I made my travel plans before I knew when Cars Land was opening. It was the only time my husband could get off. I love Disneyland, this will be my third trip there but, I am really glad that I only have a two day park hopper this time, I don't think that I can take the crowds!
