Crowd Calendar's?

I'm wondering if the crowd calendar's are worth looking at?
A cast member says that Disney has been more a favorite spot and you can no longer go by what the crowd calendar's say.

What's your opinion about this?

I find them useful to gain a general idea of predicted crowd levels. I do not live and die by them. I do not expect them to be 100% accurate. I am a planner at heart and love to have any bits of info I can to help me make informed choices.

We ve just always avoided the park with EMH tho we stay on property. If we do go, it's the opposite hours...late for early n vice versa..that being said we were there for both a July 4 th and for Xmas time and avoided MK on both holidays...

I'm a local and have been going to the parks 1-2x a week since August.

The crowd calendars are not accurate--and the times that are normally suggested to be low crowds on various message boards (like early October and the week before Thanksgiving) were VERY crowded.

Just pick a time that you can go with work/school and make the best of it.

I think it depends on how knowledgeable you are about WDW, if you are just talking about picking the time of year to visit. I still know a few misbegotten souls who think Christmas or Easter would be a good time to go because they figure most families want to be at home for the holidays.

Yes, the parks are more crowded than ever, and there are few days where the parks are relatively empty, as they were during some weeks even a few years ago. But there are still times that are less crowded than others. I prefer to know when those less crowded times are likely to be.

And I do think they can be helpful when selecting which park to visit on each day of your visit. The crowd calendar I use not only gives park recommendations, but a detailed explanation for those recommendation s and tips on maximizing your touring efficiency. I may not always go to the best park, but at least I will have an idea of what I'm getting myself into.
