CROCS!!! What's up with CROCS???

I wear them for days when I am standing a lot but I cannot wear them for lots of walking. I tried last trip to WDW and my feet, ankles, and legs hurt so bad at the end of the day I wanted to cry. Not enough support for me. I should mention that I have very narrow feet with high arches and skinny ankles so that could be part of the problem. I also have to wear them with socks; I just cannot stand the way they feel without them.

I alternated, Crocs one day and sneakers the next. It was the first trip I didn't have sore feet.

DH wore his Crocs on the first day and got a HUGE blister. We finally got to use the moleskin we've been bringing trip after trip. He wore his sneakers the rest of the trip.

One thing I haven't seen anyone address here...do they make anyone else's feet sweat? I mean really sweat?? I had a lot of problems with my feet last June on my trip, so I shelled out the money for the mickey crocs at MK. While they were comfy, my feet were so disgustingly sweaty in a few hours, I couldn't wait to get them off. I've never seen anyone mention this. Is it taboo?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I took tennis shoes and mary jane crocs on my trip last fall. I wore the Mary Jane Crocs to MNSSHP and we were there until the end and my feet and legs were tired. So I wore my sketcher tennis shoes the rest of the week and my feet were fine the rest of the trip - no blisters and not sore. I think it really depends on your foot. I don't have a regular pair of crocs - just knock-offs. I think regular crocs give more support than the mary janes, so I'll probably try that our next trip. I would say - give the crocs a shot, but take a good pair of broken in tennis shoes also.

I wore my Croc flip-flops everyday of our 5 day trip last year. I don't know about the other styles of them though. I never got a blister and my feet never ached.

I love my Crocs.
I live in PA and as long as it's not snowing I wear them all the time. I wear the with or without socks. No problems.

BUT, when I went to WDW in Dec 07 I wore my Disney Crocs without socks and got terrible blisters on the top of my one foot. It was horrible. I have no idea why since I wore these many times at home with no problem. I don't think I would have had blisters if I had worn socks.

I did wear my Capri Crocs flip flop type with no problems, but for the rest of my vacation it was either my worn-in sneakers or my Crocs Capri.

After coming home I continued to wear those same Disney Crocs and haven't had any blisters since. Odd.

I wear Crocs all the time at home. But at WDW I don't like how sweaty I feel in them. I wear them for a little bit but then I just switch to my walking sandals. But in general all I wear is Crocs at home. SOOOO comfortable!!!!!

I wore them (without socks) every day of our Jan 08 trip and I'm glad I did. They were so comfortable and I had no blisters after walking around all day :)

I have the capris, I can't wear the normal crocs. I love my flip flop crocs. I hate shoes with a passion, if I didn't have to wear shoes I wouldn't. Wore them to Disney this year and I never put on my sneakers, my feet were much more comfortable. I have a hard time finding a comfortable pair of sneakers and these were comfortable. I also wear them around campus during the summer and fall. great pair of shoes let me tell you.

Hey all you Crocaholics! Thanks for all the positive feedback. I went to the local CROCS kiosk today and bought a pair of Beaches that fit perfect. I am breaking them in right now.

But my DD tagged along and can't wear the Beach because she is between sizes. She is trying the Cayman style (comes in whole sizes) but had to order them today from crocs.com.

The nice sales lady gave me 2 "free shipping" codes to use. They both work, but I don't know for how much longer. To anyone who wants to order online they are:

crocsracing08

winterline

Thanks again for your help.

My son alternated with a pair of cheap crocs this past Aug-Sep, and did just fine. . . . then again, he was in a stroller a lot of the time.
.
Two weeks ago was our 1st non-stroller trip (I split the savings with him)!
.
Guess I would wear them all day on a long shopping day to the malls, etc. and see how one's feet hold out . . .

It seems like a lot of the people who like them either have flat feet or normal arches. I haven't seen anyone with high arches say they support enough. Is there anyone with high arches that's had good Croc experiences? My arch is so high that even high arch supports rarely touch it, and I have a really hard time getting comfortable shoes.

Crocs and other 'what to wear on my feet' threads are maintained over on the Disney Tips Board.. Moving this one over there.

Thanks!

Knox

I wear my CROCS all time and my 20month old granddaughter loves hers. we
have a hard time convincing her to wear something that will keep her feet warm. We both wear them with no shoe socks though. The little dimples in the bottom rub my feet. You can buy socks in the same colors as the CROCS and it is not as noticeable as wearing white socks. Remember to order smaller than you would in other shoes.:tinker:

Lots of Croc lovers here on the DIS.

I didn't go for them because they gave me no support - now keep in mind I'm a jolly, chubby lady!!!! I need a sneaker or a Teva type shoe.

And as I've stated before - please don't flame me!!!! - I don't like the looks of the bright colored Crocs on boys and men. A nice black or brown Croc, maybe, but pink??? Lime green??? Nope.

And only Iron Chef Mario can wear orange ones!

DW needs arch support and will be bringing crocs and her shoes. she loves them at home all the time. we wear them at home after a long work week.

I LOVE them. I wear them for work, and was afraid to try them all day in the parks until last year and for me there is no going back. I can't wear them with socks at the parks (even though I always have socks on for work) due, I think, to the pace and distance that we walk at WDW. I have worn them in the rain several times and they dry out very quickly. Never a blister, hot-spot, or over-heated feet since I started wearing them, and I often find myself consciously thinking about how good they feel. I have seven pairs now.
Just one humble opinion.

:thumbsup2 :goodvibes
