And of course Morgan & Garcia. :love2:

Anyone for Rossi or Gideon? :cool2: :smooth:
No one really mentions having anything for J.J. or Prentiss. :confused3 :goodvibes

One here for Rossi. :lovestruc

Who, Dr. Reid?? I thought I was the only one who was crushing on him

HA! Get in line, sister! ;)
I also love Morgan, but now that Reid has that haircut, I'm like "Morgan who?"
LOL. But Morgan is a very close second. That man is beautiful. Seriously. I wonder if People ever picked him for one of their Most Beautiful editions. I'll have to look that up. If not, they will be hearing from me!

Oh, and I was kind of disappointed in the finale, too. Not much of a cliffhanger. I guess we are back to reruns now with Reids old hair :guilty:

YAY, People has love for Shemar!

Count me in for J.J..........She is soooooooo HOT. I love me some J.J. :)

Another Welcome! :yay: :woohoo:

That's cool for DD. Did she ever meet him? What did she hear about him? Any HS dirt? :yay:

No she has never met him (she wishes though). I think he graduated in 1998 and she is currently a sophmore. They do talk about him at the school. She is in the same program that he was in. It's a performing arts high school. Would be very cool if he came back for a visit.

Me, too. I was originally hooked in by Morgan. But now, I'm into Hotch's quiet steadiness, with Morgan as a close second. I wonder if, since the producers do consult with real FBI profilers, whether they purposely planned all this. :scratchin "Let's hook people in with the obvious eye candy (Morgan.) Then using what we know about real profiling and people's tendencies, we will slowly reel them in and get them hooked

on a different team member over time." :lovestruc

One here for Rossi. :lovestruc

Here's some pics & trivia on Rossi. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Snipped from Joe Mantegna's website:

Here is a pic of Joe with his daughter Gina. If you look closely, she should look really familiar. :magnify: She was in a CM episode where 2 teen girls were abducted. One girl turned out to be the daughter of a mob assassin in Witness Protection. She was the gal at the end, telling her dad to kill her abductor. :scared1:

Here's a pic of Joe in the original production of "Speed the Plow" on Broadway in the '80s. It was Madonna's scandalous Broadway debut, because she had NO theatre or Broadway training and discipline at ALL, yet she got the part over trained Broadway actresses because she's Madonna.

This is my one bit of trivia that I know. This is a true story. I was friends with a couple Broadway ushers, who watched this actual performance, and I was told the story sometime later, when I grilled them about it. It had spread throughout the Broadway community like wildfire. During one performance, she simply burst out into a hysterical, uncontrollable laughing fit for a full 5 minutes. She was on stage with Joe Mantegna. Since the lines were all Madonna's and she was in the middle of telling a story, that HAD to be finished in order for the play to go on, Joe couldn't improvise around her laughter, and carry on. All he could do was sit and stare at her for the 5 minutes  and wait for her to compose herself and carry on. :sad2:

The caption under the pic above (on Joe's website) only says, "Speed the Plow on Broadway. Ron was a great guy, he'll be missed." No mention of Madonna, at all! That speaks volumes. :rolleyes1

Count me in for J.J..........She is soooooooo HOT. I love me some J.J. :)

J.J. pics coming soon. :goodvibes

I recognized her as soon as I saw the picture! I had no idea that was his daughter!

:rotfl:

I love Morgan  But I've also gotten really attached to Hotch. I added Season 2 to my DVD collection last week() and I watched the episode where Morgan gets arrested. Every time I watch that episode it makes me love Morgan/Shemar even more! Shemar's acting is amazing in that one.

This is a big bummer, looks like JJ won't be returning next year:

There was blood shed on the set of Criminal Minds today, only this time it was behind the scenes.

Sources confirm that producers have opted not to pick up A.J. Cook’s contract option for next season. Which is a fancy way of saying girlfriend was fired.

Meanwhile, fellow cast member Paget Brewster is in talks to remain a series regular, although her episode count is expected to be reduced.

The decision to cut Cook — and cut back Brewster — was made for financial reasons.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I really hope they don't kill her off. I'll be so mad. What is really strange and I bet no one will believe me, but I swear to God I dreamt about her husband (on the show, the one from N.O.) last night. I don't remember any details, it wasn't like a hot and heavy dream...he was just in it.
But how in the heck are they gonna get rid of JJ and reduce Prentiss's role? The show will be too male "heavy",not that I really mind...I just like JJ so much.

   :faint:

:sad1: I really like J.J. too.

When I thought Morgan might be in trouble during the season finale previews, I was thinking how the show had finished the 5th season, and that's usually when they renegotiate contracts. I was thinking maybe they'd keep the fact that Morgan might have been in trouble looming over Shemar's head. :scratchin Like, "You know Shemar, we don't have to bring you back." :stir:

I never thought it would be J.J. :(

How can they not have enough money? :confused3 It's one of CBS's top rated shows. I hope they aren't funneling money into the spinoff instead and cutting the quality of this one.

First of all, thank God it wasn't Morgan or Reid. I honestly don't know if I couldn't continue watching. I would try, but I don't think I could hang in there. I bet this does have a lot to do with the spinoff, so that's reason one of why I probably will not watch it. Why even have a spinoff if you are going to hurt the integrity of the original??? But, then again, maybe it's not because of the spinoff. I read somewhere ( I don't know how true this is), that they may bring in another female later this season. But I want JJ and Prentiss.

I don't think I'd watch the show either if Morgan or Hotch left the show. Strauss did give Hotch the option for early retirement, and again, with the contracts being negotiated after the 5th season, I was a little concerned that episode that Thomas Gibson may want to leave. He did brilliant acting work in the Reaper climax episode, but Gibson's family, (wife & 3 young kids,) actually lives in San Antonio, TX. He's a weekend dad & commutes to L.A. during the week.

I know other long distance relationships have been able to make that work. Eva Longoria travels to San Antonio to be with hubby, Tony Parker, after she finishes filming each week, and she spends all her hiatus with him there.

Families with less financial means, like airline pilots & truck drivers are gone a lot. But, Thomas doesn't have to work, (except on an artistic level,) and he could have wanted to be home while his kids were young.

I read an article a while ago that the producers signed up an actress for a recurring role. While I didn't like the idea of adding someone else into the mix much, I thought maybe they'd finally give Reid a love interest, as the pics of the actress look like she's rather young, younger than an "experienced" FBI profiler.

I guess this change has been in the works for a while. I was thinking last nite that it may have more to do with the show now airing like 20 times on cable each week. That can't be good for the show. :headache:

I was flipping channels, and of course CM was on. I tuned in long enough to see Elle was on the show. I knew immediately it was an episode from Season 1. Other times, I know it's an episode from Season 1 or 2 because Gideon is on. Other times, I know it's a later episode because Reid has lost the geeky glasses and has the longer hair.

I never really watched Law & Order, (the original series.) I never even know who Benjamin Bratt was until he was Julia Robert's (ex-)boyfriend. Every once in a while, as I'm flipping channels, I see an old, old episode and think, who is that? They are starring on L&O, and I don't even know who they are. :confused3 But, the way they changed actors so much, I definitely don't confuse the episode with any of the newer ones, even aside from the obvious aging of the actors.

When you think of it, once CM established the newer, stable cast members of the team, with Prentiss & Rossi, it's nearly impossible to distinguish the different episodes in Season 3-5. Once Season 5 moves to cable, it will just seem like the same CM airing over & over, especially the past 3 seasons.

How are viewers going to know the difference between Season 6 and the past 3 years? I wonder if the producers feel the need to shake up the look of the show. :( J.J. & Prentiss were the weakest characters. I noticed that they often wrote J.J. in doing profiling work, questioning an unsub or witness, even though technically that wasn't her job, or I thought, what was supposed to be in her skill set as media liaison. I think they had to write in extra stuff for her to do on the show.

Prentiss is a great strong profiler, but very generically "FBI." There actually is a real-life, ex-FBI female profiler, whose been on various CNN shows recently, giving her spin on the Van der Sloot case, that seems like a dead ringer and possible inspiration for Prentiss. :thumbsup2 But, out of all the characters, (to me,) Prentiss has the least personality. And, unfortunately for Paget Brewster, because of it, is the most interchangeable character.

I just hope they don't kill J.J. off. It doesn't bode well as advertisement for the BAU when all their profilers go crazy & leave, (Elle & Gideon,) burn out & retire to no family, (Max Ryan,) or get killed off, which ends their time with the FBI. Maybe, they will give J.J. a graceful exit where she & Will get pregnant again, and she chooses to leave to have a happy life with Will, Henry & the new baby. :thumbsup2

Just keep Garcia (and this from a huge fan of hers)!

This clip is from one of the last episodes this season. I hope this is the writers & producers way of telling us they are keeping Penelope. :thumbsup2

It's the sections like this that keep me watching the show. They take these away, and I'm out of here. I have no need to wade through such blood & gore each week, or finding out there are more ways to mutilate a body than one should know in a lifetime. :scared1:

Here's another great clip. Though, I've got Dibs on Hotch! :yay: :woohoo:

Warning: This thread is temporarily being interrupted for some sheer male hotness!
(Like we only watch CM for the intelligent writing. :rolleyes1 )

I was looking for more info on the A.J Cook & Paget Brewster situations and instead came upon this YouTube video interview of Thomas Gibson, shot a couple weeks ago, while he's on summer hiatus from filming the show.

O.M.G.!!!!   :faint: :faint: :faint:
I'm not usually into the scruffy, unshaven look, but take off the stiff, buttoned up shirts & ties, and this man is incredibly hotter!

Okay. . . now where were we? Oh yes, back to our regular CM postings. ;) :teeth:

AJ Cook confirms 'Criminal Minds' [temporary] return

"AJ Cook has confirmed that she will wrap up her storyline on Criminal Minds.

Cook, who played JJ, was axed from the series earlier this month.

Writing on Twitter, Cook explained that she will return to the show to tie up her character's story.

"Thanks for your undying support but it's a done deal," she told fans. "I'll be doing 2 eps to wrap up JJ. Excited for what's next and hope you'll come along!"

Meanwhile, a source told Entertainment Weekly that Paget Brewster will return for "a significant number of episodes" despite claims that she would have fewer appearances in the upcoming season.

Rumors have also suggested that a new female character will be introduced to the show later this year."

'Criminal Minds' Update: Paget Brewster In (For Now),
A.J. Cook to Wrap Up Storyline

"It's been reported that Paget Brewster has signed a deal to return for one more season on 'Criminal Minds,' and that despite fan pressure, A.J. Cook has been axed.

Following news that CBS had chosen not to renew Cook's contract, and had reduced the number of episodes Brewster was to appear in, disgruntled fans mounted an online petition to save the actresses' roles.

Writing on Twitter over the weekend, Brewster expressed her gratitude to the more than 40,000 people who had signed the petition. "Thank you for helping and supporting me and AJ," she said. "I am immensely grateful. I'm still angry about AJ. I'm sad this is my last year."

And Cook tweeted to fans: "Thanks for your undying support but it's a done deal."

'Criminal Minds' is a police procedural drama that follows the work of F.B.I. profilers in the Behavioral Analysis Unit (B.A.U.) at Quantico, V.A. It premiered on CBS in the fall of 2005 and its fourth and fifth seasons saw the show enter the Top 20.

Series regular Cook has played J.J. Jareau since the beginning, and when her contract was not renewed for the upcoming sixth season, there were rumors that it was for budgetary reasons. Fans mounted a campaign to have her reinstated, and possibly thanks to their pressure Cook has confirmed that she'll return to the show for two episodes to wrap up her character's storyline.

Paget Brewster joined 'Criminal Minds' in its second season, playing the team's foreign language expert, Emily Prentiss. She's staying on for one last season with the series, and is believed to have signed a "10 out of 13" deal, which means that she'll appear in at least 17 out of 22 episodes.

The departure of Cook and Brewster leaves Kristen Vangsness, who plays Penelope Garcia, as the only full-time female cast member still on the show. However, producers have said they're looking to hire another actress to join the cast as a series regular later on this year.

The sixth season of 'Criminal Minds' is due to air on CBS in the fall."
