I wonder if this is where A.J. Cook's salary will be going? And the fact that they are bringing on Garcia part time, probably means they won't have to pay a full time, new cast member a full salary.

I wonder if Whitaker will make more than Joe Mantegna or Thomas Gibson as he's an Oscar winner?

The two are most likely not connected as each show would have its own budget. Also, Kirsten Vangsness would be paid separately by each show. I bet the reason to have her cross over would be to bring the original CM viewers to the new show. They did the same with Vance and Abby on NCIS:LA.

That's so cool! I love Hotch at the end wearing the hat (no spoilers). What's even cooler is that the first time I ever saw Paget Brewster in anything was a couple of episodes of Friends. She played the girl dating Joey that Chandler fell in love with. Joey got mad and made Chandler sit in a box (not sure if anyone remembers that one!)

I don't remember that episode. I didn't really watch Friends, but Paget did look familiar to me when she started the show.


I wonder if Joe & Thomas didn't get to renegotiate much for their salaries for this new season. A.J. getting axed from the show might have scared both of them. Plus, allegedly, the real story is Mandy Patinkin didn't get what he wanted in terms of salary, and when he didn't show up for episodes, they just cut him from the show.

Since Thomas saw Mandy also do this when they both worked on Chicago Hope, and Mandy also "amicably left" that show, <cough> and Joe is even on the show because of Mandy leaving, I would think they would both be a little gun shy to try to ask for what they both deserve, especially if the producers are keeping any excess to pay Oscar Winner, Forest Whitaker.

It's the exact same producers, though, and same franchise. I wonder if the can make budget changes, funneling from one show to the other, to keep either/both shows up & running.


I didn't know they did that with Abby. I like her character in NCIS. I never watched NCIS:LA though.

And I also agree about a previous post you made. WTH is wrong with CBS running reruns in no certain order??? Last night was the one where Hotch was stabbed by the Reaper. Was that even last season??

I know it's been a while since we talked about the season ender, but they better show it the week before the new season begins. I need a refresher. That episode wasn't my favorite, and other than knowing Tim Curry is the unsub and Morgan got shot, I don't remember anything else at all. It was kinda disappointing. But maybe when I see pt 2 it will make more sense. I hate cliffhangers, but thats how all shows end their seasons.

That doesn't make sense, as once they hook in new viewers, there is no through line for them when they watch the next out-of-order episode.

I thought maybe they were putting all the Reaper storyline episodes together, so people could watch them in order, back to back. But they aren't doing that either. The next episode after Hotch getting stabbed is episode #5-2. They already showed that one a few weeks ago, (by itself.) Next week's episode on Wed is #5-8.

I think no one informed the network that this particular season, the episodes need to be shown in order.

A&E, which finally started showing Season 5 episodes also didn't start with episode #5-1, Hotch getting stabbed. You'd think, since they finally got this season that they'd show them in order for their viewers, who may not be caught up, watching the show on CBS.


And what's with A&E and ION needing so show the exact same episodes within a couple days of each other? There are 90 episodes, and they can't shuffle them around

(like they are inadvertently doing with season 5) any better?

I need my Hotch & Morgan fix now & then. I don't want to see the same few episodes over & over.

OMG!
I thought I was in love before. But, I'm a sucker for a guy who can dance. And Thomas can dance! Unlike his normal Greg character, he gets to lead in this scene. And when he smiles, it just lights up the screen. Why did CM make his character not smile anymore? Morgan still smiles.

You should have an advantage on your "mind of a murderer" unit. I have learned so much about criminal patterns and behaviors that sometimes when I hear about real murders, I try to profile them. Thanks to Criminal Minds, we all know what stabbing means, and about signs of remorse, escalation etc.

This week: They are airing the Haley/Hotch/Reaper episode.

NOTE: Next week is the Season 5 finale - the cliffhanger episode.

Right now, it is NOT scheduled for 2 weeks, right before the new season starts. Seems like another screw up in the scheduling, just like they are not showing the episodes in any order. We need to email CBS that they need to show the episodes in order.

We are heading into Season 6.

I did find a poster on Youtube who has posted ALL of the Season 5 episodes. So people can watch them in order. I will have to dig out the link.

This YouTube poster has posted ALL of the Season 5 episodes. People can actually watch them in order, unlike the way they've been rerunning on CBS. What a novel idea! .

They are listed in BACKWARDS order. (Last episode, the Season Finale, at the top.) You have to go to the list on the far right and scroll down to episode 5.01 1 for Season 5, episode 01, part 1.

The shows are cut up into about 5 segments (at the commercial breaks.) Naturally, look for the next segment or part in consecutive order.
