Criminal Minds -- DIS Official Thread 1 (SPOILERS!)

I really only watch two TV shows and Criminal Minds is one of them. I thought last night's show was one of the best TV episodes I have ever seen, on any show. I suppose that isn't saying a lot since I have never watched much TV but it was excellent.

Also, I know this won't help out people that live in the US, but in Canada, Criminal Minds can be watched online at CTV.ca. Maybe it will work in the US? I can't get some shows online because the American websites recognize my IP as being Canadian (so the shows are "not available in my area").

No, nothing new had been happening with the Reaper story line for a couple episodes. They just went back to their "regular" cases. So it was really a surprise they had an episode on it last night, let alone a new one at all during a holiday.

If you get the ION channel, they are re-airring the first Reaper episode (that started this whole story line,) tonight at 10 pm. So you can switch channels & watch after the regular Criminal Minds episode.


I found a clip of last week's episode. CBS only shows 4 minute clips, not the whole episode.

It's the scene of the Reaper with Hayley. If you need a synopsis, I posted one last week. It's the post that is all whited out.

I like how Garcia was able to get her boyfriend to work on the case with her. I hope they work together more often.

After your 100th friend asked you to fix their computer it would get old...trust me.

When Hotch shot into the curtain I was certain it was going to be his son and he would have to live with shooting him. I'm glad it wasn't but that was what popped into my head when he just turned and fired.

I thought that too! It was such a Reaper thing to do. I was afraid that would have destroyed Hotch right there, if he found out he had killed his son.


I suppose I can't ask you for computer help anymore. As it is, I have to do a System Restore again in a little bit. My PC has been acting funky again, since a couple days ago. Seems like I do a System Restore every couple of weeks now.

No, I don't really mind as much as I complain about it. It's nice to have a thread on which I can sound like I know what I'm doing.

I am more annoyed with the people I know IRL that call me once a year when their computer breaks and that is the only time.

I'm thinking this goes with Hotch giving up being the head of the team & turning it over to Derek. He won't take the position back. He will need that extra time he used to do all that paperwork to spend with Jack now. Maybe it will allow him to be more emotional now. He realizes, as Hayley said to him, he needs to not be so serious all the time, for his son's sake. Maybe we'll see a softer Hotch?

I thought the same thing, too! I was afraid it was going to turn out to be his boy, with his hands and mouth duct-taped or something! It seems just sadistic enough to be the Reaper's work....

BTW, were you able to figure out how Hotch knew the Reaper was behind the curtain? I rewound and watched the scene a couple of times. I was quite sure from the first time they showed it that the "feet in the closet/mirror" was just a ruse, so the Reaper could get the jump on him, and it seemed pretty clear that Hotch was thinking the same thing, but I couldn't figure out how Hotch knew he was in the curtains (as opposed to behind a door or under the bed, etc)....

I thought it was a ruse too, at first. That he just put the shoes under the curtain. But, then Hotch stepped closer to the mirror, and for a split second, I thought I saw pant legs on top of the shoes, and that's how Hotch knew it really was the Reaper. Hotch probably recognised they weren't his own pants, put there as a ruse. And the Reaper doesn't strike me as the type to be running around in his undies to kill Hotch.
