I just found this thread. Count me in as another CM lover. It is just so creepy, I love it:thumbsup2

Welcome all new CM watchers! :woohoo: :dance3:

I often wonder what the real FBI profilers think of us. "We have to hunt down serial killers and put up with all that creepy gore, so they don't get away with it, but there are people who voluntarily watch that stuff every week, along with the reruns? :confused3 " :lmao:

I just really love all the characters, the show is intense, but they sprinkle in some humor occasionally (usually involving Garcia and Morgan).
The acting is great, unlike other crime shows on tv (I'm not naming them because there are a lot of diehard fans of these shows and I don't want to get attacked..left my flame suit at work).

Oh, and as far as preferences go between Elle and Emily, I like Emily. She is a little less uptight than Elle was.

Gideon or Rossi: for me I like Rossi better, in the Fisher King when Garcia owns up to playing a game on her laptop, I was really turned off by the way Gideon reacted so quickly with "what are you stupid? " or a comment along those lines.

Most powerful episodes:

Another good one was the episode with the man who suffered from PTSD who was killing people in the area where all the local construction brought him back to the war zone in his mind. At the end when the team wanted to bring him back alive but didn't and the way it affected each member of them was really good writing and acting. It was a good reminder that not all unsubs are psychopaths.
Yes, I never liked when Gideon said that to Garcia either. She is the tech analyst, she knows better than anyone about technology breaches.

I always feel so sad for the guy with the PTSD. A casualty of war and the bad timing that a kid had to come by just then. :sad1:

Elle/Emily: I never really cared for Elle, and it did take me a little while to warm up to Emily but I now find her fantastic.

Oh, and as far as preferences go between Elle and Emily, I like Emily. She is a little less uptight than Elle was.

I never cared for Elle much. She always seemed to sultry to me. She didn't seem very FBI to me. And I never bought that she was with the Sex Crimes Unit beforehand.

It took me a while to warm up to Emily. She's kind of a bit too deadpan. But, I suppose she IS portraying more realistic FBI people. Whenever I see them on CNN interviews, they are like encyclopedias with cardboard personalities.

Here's a funny clip of Paget Brewster (Emily) talking about when she auditioned for CM. She's much mre lively in real life. :thumbsup2

A little heads up:

This Wed 9pm is THE Reaper vs. Hotch episode - the climax episode of the Reaper story line, this season.

It's that "whited out" post with only the emoticons showing, from several pages back. If you missed it the first time, now is your chance to watch or DVR/tape it.

If you watched it before, you know to have plenty of tissues ready, and be prepared to be a wreck afterwards. popcorn:: :scared1:

This episode is simply titled "100," as it is the 100th episode of the series. :dance3: 100 episodes are usually a benchmark as it means the series can go into syndication, and be shown endlessly, like it has been on A&E and ION.

Here is a YouTube clip of the cast's 100 celebration on set: :cool1:  :yay: :woohoo: :dance3:

Here's another one where J.J. talks about how emotionally intense this episode is, (semi-spoiler in it,) and also gives us some details about the kid who will be playing her son on the show in future episodes! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the heads up. I saw it when it first aired, but I wasn't a HUGE fan yet who knew all the ins and outs. So I'd like to see it again. I don't even think I had seen any with the Reaper before this one, so I wasn't sure what led up to the actions that were taken.

Yes, the Reaper coming back was kind of a "Huh?" for me, too. He seemed vaguely familiar, but then, when you've watched the re-runs a few times, all the serial killers seem vaguely familiar. :confused3 :scratchin It wasn't until I went back and watched for him in the re-runs, that the whole story line came together. It would have been nice if at the beginning of the episode, they had done a "Previously on CM. . ." and showed flashbacks of the first episode the Reaper was in, to bring us up to date.

OK I just saw the re-run on A&E of the episode called "Seven Seconds" when they lock down the mall for what was believed to be an abducted girl. That one disturbs me, but of course I watched it again and was as teary eyed as the first run. It's because of the abduction and molesting storylines, they are both my biggest fears as a parent. OK I need another Kleenex, not sure if I can handle the Reaper repeat tonight.

I'm fairly new to the series and I didn't realize this was a repeat. I've seen a few of the Reaper episodes and just realized that he was played by Ponyboy! (you know, from The Outsiders, back in the 80's?? :confused3) Oh my. He didn't age well...

Oh, I love this show! I think I am addicted. Our station recently aired a repeat of an episode with the guy that played George on Seinfeld. He kind of looked like Colonel Sanders in the episode and was supposed to be a genius or something and had put a babysitter and four kids in a trailer and was supposedly killing them one by one with gas. I started to watch this episode before, but turned it off because DH wasn't home and it creeped me out because I thought he actually killed the first kid. This time Dh was home and we watched the episode together and I'm glad I finally watched it as it was not what it seemed.

My favorite emotional episode was the one where Garcia got shot - not because she got shot, I love her character, but it was so riveting I could not wait for the continuation to find out what happened. And the chemistry between her and Morgan? was something else!!:woohoo:

I always thought there should be more in their relationship but so far the writers have not carried very far. In fact, they seem to be drifting apart.

Honestly don't want Morgan and Garcia to hookup. I think their love goes beyond romantic love...it's more like brother/sister. But I do love the way they talk to each other. :cutie:

Ya in that explosions episode when Morgan says " DOnt ever stop talking to me" and she goes " I cant right now I am mad at u" its such banter that makes their relation. I dont thing they should get romantic on each other.

I agree that Morgan and Garcia are platonic flirters plus isn't she dating the other techie guy?

Oh, I didn't mean I wanted them to have a relationship - I just love the chemistry between them. It's so fun to hear them go back and forth - I wonder if any of it is adlib (sp?) or if it's all in the script?

Okay, I just watched an episode of CM with the Reaper - is that the original episode or the most recent one? In this one, he goes around killing people and is finally arrested when they realize that the only surviving victim of the Reaper, is the Reaper! They arrest him and he escapes from jail when the guards think he is ill and take him to the clinic.

So is this the most recent or the old episode??? :confused3

Did it start out with Hotch visiting a retired/dying police officer in Boston who told him he got a letter to stop looking for the Reaper? That's the first Reaper episode.

The second episode is Part 2 of the gruesome "Pig farm" episode. It is a cliffhanger as it was the season finale of last season. Both of those episodes can be seen on A&E and ION.

The story continues with the first episode of this season. There are about 3 episodes this season dealing with the ongoing Reaper story line. But, they've all rerun already on CBS. You may have to wait till A&E and ION get this season's episodes to air. I don't think CBS will re-air them again. They've been showing all the reruns for this season, interspersing them between new episodes an on an occasional Saturday night.

Yes, I've seen this episode twice now. I learned a lot watching it a second time but I think it will be my last time. I don't think I can watch it again when it reruns on later. I was blubbering every time Hotch's kid came on.

It was nice to see J.J.'s real kid was used as her kid on the show. :thumbsup2
