Cribs in WL, or any other resort?

Anyone ever stayed in a WL room with a crib? We're coming the first week of January. It will be me, DH, DS (5yo), and a 9 mo old in a crib. I've heard the rooms are on the smaller side, which has me worried that there will be absolutely no floor space left once we add a crib!

What about other resorts? Are the cribs Disney provides good quality?

Anyone thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

Do you mean an actual crib or a pack 'n play? Actual cribs are limited in number and given out on a first come first served basis. They're of the standard institutional variety -- white metal frame. I've only ever used pack 'n plays at Disney and they've always been in good condition.

We took our boys to wdw 6 times when they were still in cribs. We never received a real crib once, including a stay at WL. We were told that they were being phased out and that was a few years ago. They do have an abundance of pack n plays though. If you would like to assure yourself to receive a real crib I would order one from an offsite company (we used a baby's best friend twice and had great service).

As for floor space at WL, you will be able to fit a crib (we fit two full size cribs twice in a value room so I know you can fit one in the WL rooms). We had plenty of room in our WL room with two pack n plays, a double jogger stroller, and the rest of the gear two 18 month olds need. I think you will be just fine.

Yes, sorry I did mean a pack n play! I never even thought of renting one from another company! I'll have to look into it and compare. Thanks!

I would not rent a pack n play. The ones from the resorts are standard graco models. They are just fine and they provide linen as well.

We just stayed at WL in January with a 6 yr old and a 9 month old! What I did was pay the extra bit for a bunk bed room. I figured with the twin bunks instead of the second queen bed we would have more room and would be a better fit with the playpen. It worked well, and it did make a difference in floor space. We have stayed there 2 times previously when my son was younger and it was squishy with the stroller and suitcases and such. We wedged the playpen between the balcony doors and the bed. 6 yr old slept on the bottom bunk (he moves around so much while he sleeps, I don't trust him on the top bunk!!) and we used the top for empty suitcases. Highly recommend that if you can swing it!
