Credit Card Question

Hey all. Hoping someone here can help me with a question I have.

I am looking to get a new Credit Card. I currently have none and I wish to have one in case of an emergency while traveling and to assist in my overall credit. Here is what I am looking for:
No yearly fee
Low limit

Yea, I am not really that worried about anything else. Can anyone suggest some cards that may work for me?

Check with your bank. Most banks (and credit unions) have credit cards, and they may be more willing to work with someone with limited credit history, thank a bank where you have no history, particularly if your accounts are and always have been in good standing.

O would recommend that you go to creditkarma.com and open an account. It is 100%free. It will give you an idea of your credit score and if you click on the credit cards section it will make recommendations of credit cards and will tell you your odds of approval. It is a nice tool to have so that you don't get a bunch of hits to your credit for cards that you will not be approved for.

The basic Disney Visa is also free and you can set it for a low limit

I would not worry at all about the interest rate. Once you get it, use it for about $100 - $200 in purchases per month and pay the bill in full when it arrives. This will work on increasing your credit score by showing regular utilization.

But also you would want as high a limit as possible. One is if you have an emergency you don't want to have to worry about increasing the limit then, and also the lower your debt to limit ratio the better your credit score.

No credit history
Bad credit history
Good credit history (just no cards?)

BTW, the last I heard the Disney Visa is for people with Excellent credit scores
