Creative Ideas Needed....

We are having a new patio put in on Friday. I was thinking that it would be fun to put the kids hands in the wet cement but was hoping to do something a bit more creative. I don't want to do anything huge just a little area to remember it by. This is the first house we've owned as a family and it was a new build so we are the first to live here. TIA.

My DH bought a round tube thing for making stepping stones and when we poured the slab, he made 2 stepping stones. One has 2 hand prints and the other 2 foot prints. I love them because while they are in the yard now, if we ever move they can go with us.

Nothing creative, but when my dad poured cement for our pool area fence, he put a penny head side up in the cement with the year that he did it. I think we always looked at the penny as we got older.

Depending on how many children you have, you could make one "hand flower" with a cool stem made up of garden jewels or pebbles.
