Did You Bring The Room Key?
August 21, 2011
Ok so first up we have a short but sweet little update for ya!! As I mentioned at the end of my last update we headed home early the night before (if you call midnight early) so we could catch up on some much needed sleep.
We got up at exactly 8:45, wow I knew I was going to be sleeping in and even though I did I didn’t want to get up. But we did and we all got ready and headed to the main pool the “the springs” the one in congress park was closed for refurb it was kind of upsetting.
As we set out to the pool (a 5-7 minute walk) we got halfway there when we realized that we had all left our room keys in the room. FAIL, everyone was gone. Danielle and Adam were doing a segway tour in EPCOT and none of them were getting back anytime soon. So we decided what the heck, might as well finish our trek.
We were one of the first ones to the pool that morning. The water was a little bit cold but we warmed up to it really fast.
We got bored of swimming after probably 45 minutes but the slide was going to open up shortly so we stuck around. There was a long line by the time it finally opened at 10, they picked the kid of the day and he got to go down the slide second (the lifeguard went first) but as soon as he left the kid of the day and his siblings started goofing off. The one kid pushed the other down the slide and the other one tried to go down standing up. They were really rude. Needless to say we each went down one time and we were done with that.
I texted our parents to see if they were coming back anytime soon but they weren’t and we needed to get back to the room to get ready for our lunch reservation. We walked to the main building and Andy and KC went in and asked for a new room key so that we could get in and ready before they got back. At this point it was about 11 and our reservation was at 1:30 so we had plenty of time.
Once everyone was back to the room and finished getting ready we hopped on the bus to EPCOT at around noon.
Just enjoying a nice afternoon bus ride
Point the way!!!
We arrived rather quickly, no outrageous wait for the bus. Who can resist a photo opp of the “golf ball”? not me that’s for sure!
We had some time to kill so we decided to go check out Innoventions. Ma wanted to try some weather room thing but like the last time the line was too long so we decided to try
Basically it was like cyber space mountain at Disney quest only BETTER!!! You can’t really see it from the picture but there are two chairs on a big metal arm simulator thing.
It basically is trying to teach you math and science and stuff lol. You get to pick the speed and height of hills and loops. As we waited we watched other people have a go at it.
And then Andy got a little freaked out.
He is not a fan of things like this and neither is Ma so they decided they would ride together and they would make theirs nice and easy. Which meant I got to ride with Sam!!
But we still had quite the wait to go so Sam did what she does best and braided Pa’s hair
Finish product
Soon enough we were at the front of the line and handed our card
We went in and started building our rollercoaster. They give you a ruler and dial and you have to manipulate it to work without crashing and you are timed, the entire thing is kind of nerve wrecking.
Sam and I were all about making ours really fast and loopy. We realized afterwards that we should have done big loops at the slowest pace so we could stay upsiddown longer. Oh well, next time.
We got off and decided to head over to our lunch destination. Were were we going?
Tune In Next Time!!!
