Oh YES she needs it in writing. I have seen too many of these cases happen. Same thing happened to Jeff with my step daughter. Your friend needs this in writing!! If she ticks him off just once over anything he could change his mind! I told 14 years ago he had better have visitation rights put into his custody agreement for Brandy. He would not listen to me. I stayed ticked at him for a month. I told him if he did not have the visitation put into writing we would never see her. Well guess what?? We got her twice after he did this. Twice!! I wanted to raise this child and he took it away from me! I was so mad at him I thought about a divorce. I seriously did. I felt like Brandy would have been better off with her dad instead of another relative. My step daughter was raised by one of his relatives. The BIGGEST mistake he ever made was to take the word of his Aunt over me. Keep on telling her to do this.
Wow, if you don't mind I might have to share this "first hand experience" with my friend so then maybe it will sink in that she needs all this in writing. How sad, but thank you for sharing. When my boyfriend got a divorce, his ex wife made him sign something stating she gets full custody and he did it. A year later he regretted it and took her to court to try and get shared custody of the girls, but because of that note he signed the judge refused. Thankfully his ex and him are on great terms now and we get the girls whenever we want. They even made an agreement that they each take one girl to claim on their taxes. I know for sure I would have never stayed with Chris if he wasn't involved in his daughters lives.
Yay cosmo arrived at Selena's place.

He is one lucky monkey!!!!!!
Selena - sounds like you have a very busy weekend a head!!
So much fog this morning. We are on a dense fog warning until 9:00am this morning. Crazy and kind of scary to drive in that much fog!!!! You could hardly see the stoplights, let alone other cars!!!!
Took my best friend out to dinner last ngiht at the elephant bar and then we worked on her application for jobs. Also bought a vaccum to borrow until mine comes in!!!!!
My friend has now really considered getting a lawyer but she is not sure how to start to look for one let alone pay for one. I was wondering if lawyers charge up front or after everything is completed and if her husband could be made to pay the attorney fees in the settlement? I have to keep an eye on her because she has been sleeping A LOT and spending most of the time in bed...maybe she is on the verge of depression? She has always wanted to go to the Elephant Bar but since she really doens't have any money now I took her there last night to cheer her up and get her out of the house. I think it helped her. She wants to plan a girls weekend trip to either Las Vegas or
Disneyland in August because it is her 30th birthday and we were supose to go to a bed and breakfast and go white water rafting with our SO's. Our friend lives out in Cali and her sister works for Disneyland and can get us tickets so it should be a pretty cheap trip!!!!!!! At least she will have something to look forward too.
Okay sorry for rambling!!!!
