Way to go Marcie!! The couch isn't working for me. LOL I can't seem to get off of it to exercise!! Gotta get back on the elliptical!

Great Job Marcie!!!!! I am so proud of you.

Well it looks like the crud caught up to me. I think with the stress of Chris's job situation had my immune system down. I am at home sick today. I have a really really bad sore throat and I am running a fever and have chills and my entire body aches.

Sorry Heidi! Not to be rude but keep it at your house. Dad and I are already talking about fumigating the house because you were here a couple of days ago. Seriously, if you need anything give me a call!

It could be worse. Tammy can't go to Alex's musical performance at his school because the risk of catching something and not being able to fight it is too high.

That must be so hard on her. :grouphug: I heard on the news that CO has a lot of people sick with the flu. I hope she can make it through this long winter and not catch anything. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Poor Heidi... Brad has pneumonia. He came home from work on Tues and went to the dr. He will probably go back to work tomorrow. He seems to be on the mend now.

Poor Tammy, Jrsy you will have to make sure you video tape it for her.

Cristi, you said exactly what I was going to......Jrsy, you will have to video it for her. If you don't have a video camera, you can sure use ours!!!

They said they are "restructuring" the job. All the people in the position as Account Manager have an interview set up for them, there is about 15 people fighting for 3 jobs. The scheduled the interviews for them and sent it as part of their severance package. He has been online this afternoon applying for anything possible in Coke, even taking several steps back as a Cashier. I wasn't sure if he was going to go to school today but he did go, I am proud that he went after all the stress he is under. Luckily I have a good job so I can hold us over for awhile, just not sure how we are going to finish paying for wedding stuff (nothing big, just stuff like table decorations, final balance of DJ, party favors, hair, accessories, etc)!!! We might not be able to take the Honeymoon now, it is paid off but we will see if he gets a new position if they will let him take close to 3 weeks off. I guess we will find out in the next 2 weeks, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

You know you guys are in my prayers. I know how very stressful it is for you. I have been totally bonkers over this with Jeff. I pray he will find a job with Coke. Will he lose his vacation time if he has to start a new job with the same company? Wow 3 weeks? Is there a way to scale back on the time off if the need arises and still have the same honeymoon?

Times are just so tough.

My job is never a done deal. It is a yearly thing. I never know. My position is considered classifed and no State School employee that is classifed is promised a job until the State passes it's budget each year. Sometimes they refuse to agree and we do not know until the summer if we are going to have a job. :scared1:

Now with Jeff, he had his yearly audit and he did awesome. Not one thing wrong with any of his files that were reviewed. This is good. He normally does very well with this, his interoffice numbers and his customer service. I just pray those things will keep his job.

His company decided to let over 1000 people go just a month ago. Now his department is going to change between now and September and several people will be let go. As I said, I pray his numbers and all will keep him his job.

We did learn that his bonus is about half the amount as it was last year. I guess we are lucky he is getting one at all.

We also found out that he is getting a tiny raise. Every little bit helps however, his raise will not even pay for the raise in his gas amount we have to pay monthly. Just because he gets a raise and bonus means nothing. He could still lose his job.

Update on Chris's situation:

He went and talked to some of his old bosses and one of them said he would make a job for Chris and have him on his team if he loses his sales job. So it sounds like he will still have a job, it may be lower pay and he will have to go back on a truck but at least he still has a job with Coke!! So since the honeymoon is already approved, looks like things will work out. Still scary and nervous until something official happens, but it sounds better!!!

This is wonderful news for you guys!!

Yeah Heidi, I bet mom and dad will be more than glad to drop off anything you need on the doorstep. lol

Oh poor Tammy. Please give her a hug from me and tell her I love her. I have tears in my eyes for how she must feel.

I really hope she is able to stay away from all the germs this winter.

Cristi I hope Brad is feeling better.

You guys know how sick I have been this winter. The flu is horrible this year and the flu this year is different from the shot they made!!

I am praying I do not get it. I can not be out of work. I have used all of my sick days. My sick days accure monthly but it is only one a month.

Poor Brad. I really feel for him.

Ted and I have been lucky so far this year. (knock on wood) Everyone is sick everywhere you go. Right before getting on the airplane we took airborne and also did the saline nose spray. I know we looked like dorks but we didn't catch a bug either. We saw another lady doing the same thing.

Selena, prayers and pixie dust for Jeff. Like you said, at least he gets a bonus. Ted works for a city and I worked for the state and bonuses were never an option. Ted's raises for the last 10 years or so has been running (honestly) one or two percent. At least he has a job and that we are thankful for.

Everyone is sick around here too. I'm just hoping I don't catch the latest. The 2 bouts of bronchitis I had during the holidays is enough for me. Our receptionist was running fever this week and I just ran into a friend of mine and she said she went to the doctor and the doctor said it's very bad this year. :confused3

I hope all of you don't catch it either, especially Tammy.

Alex's best friend's mom videotaped it specifically for Tammy; she had front row seats, too.

The performance was the fifth graders doing 100 Years of Broadway. Alex and his best friend, Liam, got to sing Greased Lightning and both dressed up as greasers. We slicked Alex's hair back and gave him a curl on his forehead and he got compliments on it from the minute we walked in the door.

Yeah Heidi, I bet mom and dad will be more than glad to drop off anything you need on the doorstep. lol
You laugh but Tammy's friend's parents did exactly that. They called from in front of the house and asked her to send out her husband, who wasn't sick, to pick up all of the food they'd made for them.

Have you seen this video clip? If you think you are having a bad day, imagine how this couple must feel.

I am glad she got to see it even if it wasn't live. I want to see a picture of Alex. I'll be he was really cute.... Or should I say cool looking.

Wow, Broadway songs. I would have loved his program. Glad Tammy got to "see" it from the first row!

Hey, who is supposed to get Cosmos next? I lost track.

Cristi,I lost track, too. I use to keep it on the first page of the old thread. If no one has a planned vacation soon maybe Cosmo could go to Alex until a funky monkey vacation. I know he loves him and maybe it could bring him a little cheer with what he is going through with his mom.
